I am a sole trader electrician and have had insurance with Superscript for several years. Last month I submitted a claim for a minor accident. The service was very poor and I had to ring every week to inquire the progress of the claim though I had submitted all the information and the photos. I was told repeatedly that the claim was with the insurance company and they were working on it. Finally this week I received an email informing me that my claim has been rejected. It was my first claim and it was a minor claim. I have now cancelled my insurance with Superscript.

Needed a Public Liability Insurance and Superscript pop up in Toolstation apps offered 10% off so was not a brainer...
Was easy to fill up the form and got an offer ...
Soon after accepted I was covered as a sole trader now with an active PLI!

An incredibly painful and difficult experience.
The process of getting the claim paid took 4 months longer than it should and caused significant loss for our business. We are yet to see any compensation and have had to involve the ombudsman.

I've received a 'business insurance anniversary' (renewal) email from them and don't want to renew the policy so I login to my account and there's no facility to stop auto renewal. I have mailed them (no response) and tried phoning them on 3 separate occasions but nobody ever picks up the phone. I guess that's a sure fire way of ensuring people continue renewing their policies! I'd say dreadful customer service but actually, there is 'no' customer services.

Customer support telephoned me and were able to cancel my policy, for which I'm very grateful.

I took out an insurance policy with SuperScript a while ago and have been paying monthly without any issues—until the company I insured stopped trading. I’ve been trying to cancel the policy for a while, but their platform makes it incredibly difficult.
When you try to log in, they ask you to input your email and say they’ll send a link. I never received anything—no error message, no indication the email wasn’t recognised, nothing. On top of that, they don’t send monthly confirmations or invoices, so you can easily miss if the wrong email is being used.
They also don’t offer a proper email contact for support, only a phone number, which is extremely inconvenient if you work full-time. For a long time, I honestly thought the company had gone bankrupt, but when I looked up my bank account, I realised I was still being charged every month, which was depleting the little cash I had left.
I finally managed to call today to explain everything and request a refund. It took a lot of back-and-forth and only when I mentioned escalating to the ombudsman did they agree to refund part of the upcoming month—nothing more.
If you’re a small business looking for an insurance provider, I’d strongly recommend choosing a company with better customer support, clearer communication, and a more user-friendly cancellation process. This experience has been unnecessarily stressful and disappointing.

Good prices easy to navigate the site. Have not had to claim though, that is the real test. I would urge people to read carefully reviews of people who have had to claim. Hopefully they are not like Aviva
