This was a big move to central australia. I was well advised on the moving options and chose a container load.
My go to person Morgan from Canberra arranged a video call and together we assessed what would be moved and what needed special care during the move.
Morgan made it easy for me to understand the process and each time i called him with further questions he put me at ease and assured me that i could reach out if orher questions arise.

Communication throughout the process was excellent from start to end.

The moving team was respectand professional.

The quote for my particular move was compatible with 2 other services , the reason i ended up choosing GRACE was the kindness and genuine care that came across throughout my initial communication. I absolutely would recommend GRACE and will use them for any future move.

They were friendly and helpful. Simon actually came to the house to give an accurate quote and that's exactly what they charged me. No going slowly to drag out the hours or extra fee for unexpectedly having more people on the team. They didn't pressure me to write a review and called me afterwards to check everything went well 👍

Awful end result and the most hard-bitten and unethical management of claim for damaged household items. This may be common business practice among removal companies. I will tell you what happened and at the end give some advice to protect your interests.

A word about Google reviews as this one is misleading. The clear majority of reviews in the last year or two are negative. Two years ago and earlier they received good reviews. Google are re-printing the two-year-old reviews on the page people read.

Grace are lovely at first and the Canberra senior salesman is charming.

The end result is:
• My solid oak extendable dining table was packed on end in the container. It arrived with the corner smashed. A couple of chairs now have loose joins. A $20,000 dining suite is now rubbish.
• Boxes were broken and the items re-packed in those blue and red striped packing bags. Items are missing, and two very nice small items meaning a 22 carat gold chain plus other things.
• 3 boxes are missing and not ticked off on the inventory. Lots of our kitchen items and stereo are gone.
• Paid extra for large and fragile artworks to be packed in wooden crates. Did not notice not written in contract. Also not done.
• Paid $000’s to send over car and have registered. No item written on the inventory/contract. We did not notice. There is a general clause in the Terms and Conditions.Arrived here to find out Grace do not have a service to register cars.
• In reply to the emails with pictures of the damage there has been silence. More emails and no reply.
• Grace will not pay for the damage even though they have an insurance. Their Insurance Company will not deal with Grace customers.
*. I went to the Small Claims Court and won a judgement against Grace. Received very little as they do not pay out on replacement value but on used value.

In my opinion and my experience:
• Grace will not support you getting all aspects of the job in writing, you have valuations for all items or receipts, and proof of ownership.
• They will rely on only complying with the written words in the inventory and contract regardless of the discussions and general expectations of the service.
• They will not acknowledge the claim, not give a reference number, and not address the likely causes of the damage.
• Grace will delay discussion and avoid the claim in the knowledge most people will give up.

In my opinion some actions to reduce your risks can include:
. Insurance costs 25% of the move. You might have luck and find a different attitude from a different company.
• Documentation is everything. Write down dot point notes as you discuss your job. Staple to the contract as an attachment included. I doubt you will have time for neatly type-written and printed notes.
• Moving is a lot of work. Use two people with different ways of thinking in collaboration when discussing the job. One person with the objective and sounding out the company representative and another with an eye for logic and detail are good.
• Shop around for insurance for all segments of the move including ship transport and in port. In my opinion Grace has a very close relationship with their insurer which enables it to design their interactions with you to your detriment.

They did an amazing job moving furniture, building workstations and all with minimum disruption to the office

The whole process was easy and professional from the initial consult to the delivery. They turned up on time and my furniture was delivered and unpacked expertly.

The experience was awesome, Grace exceeded our expectations, we were very impressed with the professionalism of the team. Don’t often make recommendations on here, but today is an exception.

If you’re moving house, Grace Removals. Ten out of ten. Our consultant walked me through the whole process and provided boxes. The team were in and out in two hours. Two! Not a single ding in the wall and only one ding in a piece of furniture.

Expensive? Yes. Value for money? Hell yes.

All the team at grace removals, both in Canberra and the Sunshine Coast were amazing. The relocation of our belongings was flawless, people showed up when they said they would, the office staff were polite and courteous and the guys that picked up and delivered our belongings were all fantastic. Trustworthy, professional and reliable.

From start to finish a very easy process. Transported glass cabinets interstate with zero hassle and fuss. I would recommend grace and certainly use their services again

Grace were great. We had 60m3 to move interstate . Packed well and moved on time. They coped with steps and steep inclines. Everything happened as it should. I would use them again .

On the move days we had a super professional and helpful team, Ben, Ajing and Mahesh on the first day, then Ben and Ajing again joined with Michael and Kathleen. They were all helpful, efficient, polite and worked solidly as a team to get our job done in a very good time. When I thought they would not get all the boxes and fixtures in, they worked a miracle and got it all packed. It was a pleasure to work with the whole team. A very professional experience at both ends of the move
We were lifted on the 22 December a Friday and our truck was at our new address before 9 am on the 27 December considering there was a weekend and Christmas Day and Boxing Day in between it was very quick

Expert assistance and outstanding service from everyone on the team at Grace Removals.
From our initial project assessment, throughout the relocation and right to the end, the team of professionals made everything seamless and smooth.
Bakari and his removals team were outstanding in their tireless effort to remove all furniture and deliver it intact to final destinations. They were so helpful and extremely diligent in their care and attention to detail.

The company is very reliable and accommodating. My intercontinental relocation was complicated for the final destination and timeline changing several times. Morgan and his colleagues were very flexible. Additional costs exceeding the agreed amount and invoiced after the relocation by a local receiving company were generously covered by Grace Removals.

Salesperson promised so much, but we got substandard results.
Move was between Canberra suburbs. Was told it was a 2 day job, instead crammed into 1 day… and the lack of care shows!
Was told empty boxes would be brought over for charity items. Never arrived.
Was told someone would be over to check on the packing process - no one showed up or even a phone call.
Almost every piece of furniture was damaged - broken, scratched or chipped.
Boxes marked fragile, had items damaged - boxes placed on side, others had heavier boxes placed in top of them. 1 box appears to have been dropped.
Would never recommend their services.
