This was a wonderful roast for the crockpot. Tender, juicy and very flavorful!

I cut this roast in half so it will fit into my Instant pot to sous vide. 34 hours later it comes out perfectly tender and ready to be browned on the grill. Better than restaurant quality texture and flavor.

We defrosted it and cut in half. Froze the portion we didn’t use. Both sections were tender with great taste. Made beef stew in crockpot. The other was chopped up to make Philly cheese steak sandwiches.

ends to be a bit tough and somewhat dry. One more important thing. a 3-lb package is just too big. 1.5 lbs packaging would be better for four serving-roast for example. For this, a thin slab of fat would provide better flavor and moisture.

I never use any other kind of grass fed beef roast. Wellness Meats chuck roast are perfect every time and always have excellent flavor. Also they are great value compared to other organic grass fed beef and they’re shipping is very reasonable.
