US Wellness Meats’ Beef Tallow (sometimes known as lard) uses a propriety blend of rendered beef suet and beef fats. It is naturally pure white to light yellow in color and has omega 6:3 ratios which are similar to fish. When comparing fats for cooking and consumption, remember; all fats are not created equal. Conjugated Linoleic Acid or (CLA) is an omega-6 fatty acid (naturally occurring trans fat) found primarily in Beef and Dairy. Studies have shown these fats may provide a whole host of health benefits. These are very different from the trans fats found in manufactured hydrogenated vegetable oils which have been linked to inflammation and obesity. The reason why grass-fed is important in this regard is because the amounts of CLA present depends significantly on what the animals eat. By most estimates, grass-fed and grass-finished beef and dairy can be 300-500% richer in CLA than grain-fed animals. I like this product. I use it to fry my food. I use it in homemade cosmetics. I add some coconut oil and rub it on my eczema (and it works). I know others have a tallow but I trust this farm's products.

These buckets of beef tallow are a great and affordable purchase. Excellent nutritional value that I can trust from all US Wellness Meats products. The only suggestion I would make for shipping in the future would be to tape the plastic lids on the buckets before shipping. One of the lids arrived cracked. Other than this, purchase was excellent and will definitely buy again.

It's Tallow! I use it for cooking and it adds a nice hearty flavor to my dishes. One of my kids favorite uses is warm it till just liquid then brush it on frozen or fresh slice potato fries, season and then air-fry. The fries are amazing!
