I had the most wonderful and positive experience at Graystone referral centre. Aj and his highly skilled team provided the upmost care and attention whilst I had treatment for a root canal and dental implant. The process from the initial consultation to the treatment itself was seamless. Aj explained everything involved and patiently answered any questions/concerns I had. A full examination and thorough treatment plan was provided. At every stage I was well looked after, and was provided with brilliant after care. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this excellent dental practice.

The treatment and care I received at Graystone Referral centre was outstanding. AJ is exceptional, he fixed my teeth to a standard that I didn't think was possible, I am so impressed with his knowledge, professionalism and expert skill. I feel so confident in my smile since my treatment has been completed.

I was referred by my dentist to Graystone Referral Centre in Hassocks for their specialist expertise, as a precaution to a potential difficultly with possible complications of a tooth that required root canal treatment.

Right from the outset of my journey with GRC, I received a call from Sarah who explained everything in such clear detail about the next step, also answered all of my questions with great care and patience so that I was totally at ease.I can honestly say that I have received exceptional care and service during my three visits to GRC and I was always made to feel most welcome and kept fully informed by Sarah.

From my initial consultation and assessment with the very professional A J Ray-Chaudhuri specialists consultant and his caring support team, I was then in the care of Chetan Morjaria and his caring support team who did a truly amazing work on a difficult positioned tooth with a very deep root canal, so very special thanks for their high level of care and expert work.

As well as being very impressed with all the treatment and care I received from the Graytsone team I’m truly grateful to them for saving my tooth which without their high level of expertise and amazing hi tech equipment I fear I may have had the tooth removed.

The professionalism and friendliness of all the staff at Graystone is outstanding and the whole experience from the beginning has been excellent. During my first appointment AJ thoroughly explained every step of my upcoming procedures, making sure I had a clear understanding about the treatment and he was happy to answer any questions that I had. Throughout the treatment AJ and the team are very professional and extremely friendly and I didn’t feel any pain.

Gravestone Referral Centre provided a positive experience that has eliminated my anxiety of visiting a Dental Clinic, while also educating and reenergising me to follow better dental practices that will have improved aesthetics and health.

My last dental visit was many many years ago and I now cannot wait to go back and start the course of proposed treatment!

My experience:
- clinic was very new, spacious and relaxing; nothing like a dental waiting room
- receptionist was very personal and engaging, making me feel welcomed as opposed to 'just another' patient.
- The Director and lead clinician (AJ) was immediately available and started by introducing the team that would be engaging on my assessment and showing me around the facility and explaining the various equipment that would be used.
- The assessment started with a general conversation that doubled to complete a medical history and align on what I wanted to change; it then progressed with visual inspection, x-rays, scans and some cleaning.
- AJ, the Assistant and Nurse were engaging enough to get the job done and make me feel comfortable without being overpowering or making me feel uncomfortable for not engaging in more conversation
Overall I had an incredibly positive experience and I would highly recommend the practice.

Very very caring and considerate team of people

Following a series of operations, friends suggested I approach AJ for advice on post operative care and replacement teeth. Over many months, I have benefited from his excellent oral health advice, patient explanations and the most skilled dentistry imaginable. My teeth, my smile and sense of humour have all now been restored and my gratitude to AJ and all the staff at the practice is immeasurable.

AJ and his team removed one of my molars and inserted the foundations for an implant. Throughout the process, the while team did everything they could to understand where I was coming from (I often faint with injections and at the sight of blood) and to explain the process to me so that I understood but these explanations did not make things worse. While the procedure was not pleasant, it was significantly better that I had imagined (and it was a complete success). In addition, he has helped me to significantly reduce my gum disease, which gives my teeth a fighting chance for longer. My dentist and I put that down to AJ's brilliance and the wonderful team that he has built around him. I am very grateful for the individual care they gave me, pre, during and post the operation. I would thoroughly recommend them to anyone.

I would recommend this practice for their amazing professionalism, quality of care and their outstanding premises. The support provided by the Dentist was exemplary.

A great all round service from AJ, Sarah and team I am very happy with the end result.
The service was excellent, well explained and executed.
I didn't feel pressured in any way to go for more expensive options although these would have been available to me if required.
I felt very secure that AJ knows exactly what he is doing and his team were very professional and friendly and I felt well looked after at all times.
It's a lengthy process with around six or seven appointments in total and communication was great at all times throughout.
The new surgery in Hassocks is very easy to get to from Hove where I live with plenty of free parking nearby.
If dental implants are an option you are considering I will definitely recommend Greystone!

My 6 year old saw Emma and she was fabulous. Very kind and professional and built a good rapport with Benjamin straight away. The surgery is amazing, complete with tv on the ceiling and Sarah her nurse and the reception staff made the whole journey a smooth one. We highly recommend the practice.

I am 81 years old and have a cleft lip and palate and have had to wear a metal plate with denture attached since I was young. I have had three in all over the years all provided by the NHS. It was during the pandemic that my existing plate snapped. My local dentist explained that due to the current situation a long waiting list existed for treatment on the NHS. He also explained that due to the complexity of my palate and cross over bite it would need expert and specialist treatment so he firstly sent me to a local technician who temporary repaired my existing plate. My Dentist then suggested referral to the Graystone Referral Centre in Hassocks, Sussex, to have a new plate and denture made by Mr .A.J. Ray Chaudhuri.
Following a consultation A.J. agreed to the treatment, explaining that it would be necessary to refill two molars and crown them with milled crowns to give sufficient stability for the new metal fixture. There then followed a series of treatments over a nine month period culminating in the making and fitting of the new plate with denture attached which is
fantastic and fits so well. I personally marvel at the expertise and skill people like A.J. possess and I know his work in this field is greatly admired.
During my treatment A.J. and his wonderful assistant dental nurse were kindness personified and I will forever be most grateful to them both for the work they undertook at such difficult times. It goes without saying that I would recommend A.J. and his Clinic to anyone. A truly wonderful Practice.

Although I was not looking forward to the process of having an implant it went really well because AJ and Sarah are not only incredibly professional but also showed 100% concern about my wellbeing throughout. Each stage was clearly explained and all my queries dealt with either in person or by email. At every stage of procedures I felt completely happy that both AJ and Sarah were checking that I was not experiencing discomfort or anxiety. Now the work is complete I am really pleased with the result and know that if I were ever to need a similar process I would choose the Graystone Centre to have it carried out.

I wanted to improve my anterior aesthetics and in a short 60 minute appointment I received some priceless advice, some composite mock-ups and a set of brilliant photographs to help me decide what to do. I cannot praise AJ highly enough.

Mr AJ Ray-Chaudhuri is a General Dental Council (GDC) recognised specialist in all the fields of adult dentistry. He is without a doubt the most approachable clinician and despite his astounding level of expertise, he is the most down to earth person with an extremely welcoming and friendly character that instantly puts even the most dentally anxious of patients immediately at ease. His expert knowledge of the world of adult dentistry is second to none and yet he is able to present the most advanced and detailed of treatment plans tailored for the specific needs of his patients in a simple and logical manner. As a general dentist myself, I take pride in being able to refer my many patients to him for complex procedures or advanced treatment planning as well as having had the honour of being a patient of his myself. AJ’s patients also have the rare opportunity to have their children cared for by Mrs Emma Ray-Chaudhuri, who is a GDC recognised specialist in Paediatric dentistry who also shares AJ’s warm and welcoming persona as well as expertise knowledge in the world of paediatric dentistry. This dentally gifted couple are truly rare gems in the dental world and the South East region is very lucky to have them!
