Too much coach journeys to and from places and to and from stations
Very enjoyable and interesting 4 night break. Harrogate an excellent base. Hotel couldn't be faulted, food very good and plentiful. Ample free parking, which made for a stress free break. Friendly, helpful staff. Very skilled, knowledgeable and experienced coach driver and courier. Excellent value.
I really enjoyed this tour. The destinations very interesting in this lovely county. Slightly long coach journey on one day , although I am not sure how this could be avoided. The hotel was extremely good. Very comfortable, excellent food and very helpful staff.
Wish there was more train travel, only had 2 short train journeys on the trip. Disappointed with Whitby, the open-top bus ride was cancelled, so went on a later one which meant we couldn't look around the Abbey, we had to be back to catch a train. Also, some museums were closed on a Monday. Just an idea, swop the itinerary around to accommodate this.
Great guide. The accommodation was very comfortable although the vegan food in the evening was disappointing Perhaps more info before the trip would have been beneficial

An excellent tour.
Very well organised and interesting trip
Good organisation, helpful staff, great locations. Really interesting.
Due to changes in the itinerary it didn’t quite turn out to be the holiday we had booked. The replacement day was not very well planned with quite a lot of hanging around and the train journey was just on a two carriage regular service, not a heritage line. The hotel was comfortable and the staff were friendly and efficient, but the set menu for the group was rather uninspiring given the menu available to other guests. It was also annoying to think that because we booked early, we had paid more than many other people for a holiday which was not exactly the one we booked.

Harrogate was a wonderful base to visit Whitby, and great train ride to Pickering. Bolton Abbey was also a good train ride, with visit to Haworth. Francesca was a very good guide. The Hotel was also excellent.
Hotel evening meals were very disappointing. Nowhere near 4-star quality. Adequate but that's all
Enjoyed every minute. Yorkshire is beautiful.
