Great trip, good company, excellent guide, hotels more than adequate and the Glacier Express was awesome in the sunshine.

It was a great experience apart from the hotel which was very basic, no choice of food, though what there was was plentiful. The mattress yin my room was so saggy that I had the most awful back. ache (never suffered before) Must be nice setting in summer when things are open and there is an area to sit in Sian was absolutely brilliant as Tour Manager and the train journeys were spectacular.

There were three excursions included. The Bernina express was everything I expected, the visit to Arosa (even though by luxury minibus due to line maintenance) was a delight. The Glacier express was even better than I expected. The diversions on the return journey due to line maintenance were well handled and only caused a few hours delay in the end. The only reason for 4 stars not 5 was the amount of walking, complete with all own luggage, between stations in Paris, and the extremely steep hill between the hotel and the station, which was not fully advised in advance and was a strain for my partner.

Brilliant apart from journey home when French trains were a problem
This trip exceeded our expectations. We wanted a holiday in the Swiss Alps when it was not too cold but there would be plenty of snow and this fully met that requirement. We also wanted to explore various areas and also ride the Glacier Express and the Bernina Express but without frequent changes of hotel. Again this met that requirement. Neil, our tour manager, was just great.
Was a brilliant and excellently organised tour. Neill the guide was unbelievable . Nothing was a trouble, he was there every step of the way and was a credit to the company. Will definitely recommend to friends and family.
I would give our tour guide, Stephen, ten stars. He was well organised, informative and got to know every individual. However, I think that travellers should be warned about the very steep, long path between the hotel and the station, and that some trains were double-deckers and luggage had to be carried up the narrow stairs. I selected this holiday as I prefer to travel with a smaller group. The brochure said that numbers would be about 20 but there were 38 in our tour. This was a once-in-a-lifetime holiday for me, travelling solo, and I have wonderful memories of the spectacular scenery, the towns we visited, and the brilliant train rides. The hotel, packed lunches and meals were wonderful.
From day 1 everything was superb. Lovely hotels, spectacular scenery, and an excellent group of fellow travellers. The Bernina express a joy. Didn't think this could be beaten, until we got on the Glacier Express, the scenery on this was stunning. All of this would not have been possible without our fantastic Tour Manager Neill.
Excellent trip. Lots of train journeys. Had a fabulous tour manager. Need to be relatively fit as you have to carry your own luggage on and off trains. Expect some steep hills.
Good trip mainly due to Neil west the guide who did all that could be asked to make the trip memorable
It was the trip of a lifetime! Good itinerary and pacing for the week. A free day once we had arrived in Switzerland after multiple delays (no fault of GRJ) so having a Tour Manager was really helpful. Bernina and Glacier Express were a day apart. We were there late March/early April and so lucky with the weather!
