A great experience spoiled by lack of free time in places of interest and poor scheduling of train journeys. Taking four trains to Tirano instead of just two was a waste of time that could have been better spent in Tirano itself - we had only 1.5 hours there!
To intense & full on holiday & to many people in the group for the holiday,we had 41 on ours & keeping up daily was an issue,this needs to be addressed in the brochure
Amazing tour with beautiful scenery.Fantastic tour manager.
Lovely landscape, well organised, great leader and very nice travelling companions . But 40 is really too many for a trip like this. The info we had to base our trip on was inaccurate because it was far from a relaxing holiday. I wouldn't recommend this trip to anyone elderly or even slightly disabled.
This was an EXPERIENCE rather than a holiday, so quite hectic. The scenery was stunning, hotels and facilities good. The enjoyment came from meeting all the lovely people that made up our group of 41 travellers.
We loved this holiday, the stunning scenery was even better in the late Summer sunshine.It surpassed all expectations and we want to return when it snows.
An amazing adventure that was extremely good value for money. Myself and my mother-in-law were very pleased with the facilities in all 3 hotels particularly in Switzerland where the family run hotel excelled in customer service. Stephen, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable, organised & patient..it seemed he was never off duty! The trains were extremely clean, comfortable & efficient. If i had to find something to be negative about it would be the use of single use plastic bottles in one of the hotels but apart from this there is absolutely nothing to fault!

I can certainly relay your feedback on the hotel's use of single use plastic bottles but it is likely that this is out of our control. However, we are an environmentally conscious business and will continue to use the environmentally friendly option of travelling by rail wherever possible.

Enjoyable trip but rather hectic. Hotels very comfortable but evening meals at Tiefencastle and especially at Basel quite poor. Walk up to train station at Tiefencastle very challenging. Overall a lovely holiday with great company and our tour manager Yvonne loked after us very well.

If you read the review we've already completed, you will why we say two stars. Certainly wouldn't book another holiday with your company. The hotel you put us in,and its location, for five nights was close to being insulting.

As a single traveler I found to be a very enjoyable holiday. Trevor our tour manager, went out of his way to ensure we were all well informed & gently ensured we were all in the right place at the right time.

Good first experience of train journeys across Switzerland. Enjoyed the trains. Just wish we could have had longer in each town. Trevor was an excellent tour manager, ensured travel was smooth and well organised. The downside was taking 2 days to just get to our base in Tiefencastel. It was exhausting and we will take a flight if we next plan a visit to Basel. Food in Tiefencastel was ok, wine was really not good at all. Staff were very nice in the hotel, very attentive and helpful.
