Less than one star 🌟 if I could

Less than one star 🌟 if I could . I’ve been calling for days with wait times over an hour each day . Still have not get the through . I’ve been denied medication coverage that was prescribed by my physician. I have emailed numerous times with no response. Pathetic customer support.
If I ran my company this way … I wouldn’t have a company left to run .

Is it possible to rate this company less than one star?

Is it possible to rate this company less than one star?
I have been denied coverage for a service even though I have coverage available
Trying to deal with it, and the only way of contacting by phone (no email or chat line options). Currently have been on a wait time of 45 minutes, with a highly irritating wait-line loop (can't call it music), that will prompt me to need mental health counselling services. My suggestion is that the executives of this company should be made to sit through an hour of it, which might prompt them to change it. Or perhaps create another way for customers to deal with issues like not being covered for services even when the coverage is evidently available! For example a normal way other companies deal with these issues - allow customers the option of email contact, or a call back option.
Bottom line is that customer service for Greenshield is evidently not a priority
If customer service is important to you, chose another insurance company. I am going to start looking for one, as of today

Greenshield is discriminatory and unethical

Greenshield is a very unethical and discriminatory insurance company. I would suggest choosing any company besides greenshield as well as not working for a business that uses greenshield as their benefits. Greenshield will deny coverage because of the date you picked up your insured device, rather then the date you had your apt, even though your apt was approved for coverage. It is not a trusted company and greenshield discriminates towards people that work long hours and are not in the 9-5 work day. Their benefit packages aren't worth it, and there are far better companies out there that aren't criminal like this one.

If I could give negative stars I would. I have been denied drug coverage because it is not 'part of my plan'

When boiled down the reason it is not on my plan is money. Greenshield's bottom line. They are a shield protecting my company from providing good coverage

I was on hold for so long

I was on hold for so long, my phone battery died. They've made multiple mistakes with regard to my benefits claims, it's actually causing issues regarding the claims. Lack of service is terrible!

Travel insurance

I called the insurance company for an emergency hospital visit from outside of Canada. They told me to go to the "General Hospital" to see the "General Dr.", because that's how the "Canadian way" is.
But in that country, anyone could visit a specialist without a referral. Since the General Hospital was far from my hotel, it was 2 hours away, and I couldn't walk, I asked if I could visit a specialist beside my hotel.
They said "NO", they don't accept any other doctor except the General hospital, that they told me to go...

I was on the phone for 4 hours middle of the night.
I went to the doctor next door in the morning, and I paid from my pocket.

They shouldn't force the "Canadian way" in other countries. It's not helping the member at all. The agents are not there to help you, they are there to save their money.

Union passed our medical and dental on…

Union passed our medical and dental on to greenshield.I did not fill forms out correctly and did not put my spouse on as i thought everything would just transfer as it had been. She went to use it and they said she was not covered, called pention company and they said just apply and tell them what happened and should be no problem. Nope, denied. Shes been on my benifits for 40 years and now these clowns play god and ruined my life.Today i use my dentist and they deny a mouth piece.Hope karma gets this company

Cancelling Is Frustrating

I’ve had Zone 2 Health/Dental coverage since 2014, starting at $56.80/month. Looking back five years, it already increased seven times and now costs $95/month, offering less value as services and drug/supply prices rise. Some items like root canals and fluoride—listed on the Schedule Of Benefits—weren’t reimbursed.

When I called to cancel, I was on hold for 52 minutes before being transferred, even though I clearly stated my call was regarding a cancellation. Four minutes later, the representative I spoke with was dismissive and told me they had closed three minutes ago, advising me to call back tomorrow.

Always give me trouble

I always have a problem with making a claim even though I've been with them for years. I think their mission statement is to deny all claims at first and see how long people will put up with it. I am doing everything I can to get away from them but to no avail so far. Hate them.

Find another benefit company

I pay a monthly fee for benefit coverage with Greenshield. I am a diabetic and have been for 10 years. My blood tests have progressively gotten higher over the years and I have been treating it with a Metformin Prescription from my doctor. She has tried to bring the count down with doubling the Metformin without success. So she prescribed Mounjaro for me. I have submitted my doctors forms to Greenshield 5 times and am still not approved. I have been paying out of my pocket because this medication is finally working to take me down from 7.3 to 5.2 successfully! Meanwhile I pay Greenshield obviously for nothing! I will be looking at other benefit companies for better coverage of my healthcare, and a company that doesn’t make you wait for a month for approval! How unprofessional this company is!!!

Worst therapy ever

Worst therapy ever. Before i begin this was my first therapy experience ever and let me tell you how bad the experience was. Ive had 5 sessions with my therapist which was a great therapist, but almost every single time i would try to access my appointment it wouldnt work, or the other party was having issues joining. We had to use a completely different Platform just so that we could continue doing therapy but now i cant even do that because she doesnt get paid for that and now i dont have any time left for therapy that was taken from me even though the sessions either didnt happen or were completed on a different platform. Im so over trying ti use this for therapy and put me off from the idea of using it again. Terrible

Very disappointed with Greenshield

Very disappointed with Greenshield, my union recently changed to greenshield for health benefits and pension plan. Painfully slow on getting reimbursed for claims and info on my pension, their website is no help at all as well as the help line. My union was with DA Townley and they are so much better than Greenshield. I would strongly recommend avoiding Greenshield for anything related to health benefits or pension plan management.

For the money they charge horrid and…

For the money they charge horrid and get involved with my health care dictate to physicians which medications and demand reduction in opioid management reduction completely in line with government guide lines. Refuse to pay unless pain specialist Dr. Complys and burdens Dr's office with paperwork. Need to be sued.they won't even the $ 6.11 cents gov. won't cover demand forms be filled out by specialists. Top line blue cross blue shield in usa that covers everything very small Co pay cheaper than greenshiel Canada they don't cover physical therapy or any important items very well..people you don't need to take them or their rip off services get blue cross blue shield get union leaders employers to drop green shield when your older you will be sorry you didn't.youre not getting whst you overpay for 6 other insurance companies are cheaper 10 times better. Owner out of North York Onntario S Salsman sheister. Gm had monumental law suit against greenshield customer service of green shield rude, deceptive. I would only give 1/2 star if possible.

The worst experience

Benefits have been in place since May 1 and over 2 months later, they are not able to provide us with a summary of benefits or booklet. We have no idea what our coverage is. Had 1 massage ($130) and they only paid out $20 and told me we had maxed out our massage benefits. Yet they won't tell us what the maximum is...certainly it can't be $20. Horrible service, horrible app, horrible phone system. If I could give 0 stars I would.
