We have been using GreenThumb for about twenty years and over the last year, our lawn is the worst we have ever seen it. There are more weeds, especially thistles than grass and despite speaking to someone over a week ago and discussing our concerns, no one has been in touch. I have used Green Thumb for about 15 plus years and my lawn has no weeds which is great . Price continues to increase so now have less treatments per year . I would however recommend Green Thumb.

Used Greenthumb for couple of years and was very happy and satisfied with their service. However in past 6 months service levels have declined. They are very difficult to communicate with, messages via their portal, emails and phone calls to the local branch (Barnet) remain unanswered. My last treatment with in January, current treatment overdue and they still take the monthly direct debit without providing the service. I understand the company was sold and decline in service has coincided with this change.

I am usually out when you come but the job is always done well.
The only problem was the occasion when the boundary wire for my Robo mower was cut by mistake but GreenThumb paid for it to be fixed.

My scheduled treatment for Friday 15th May was notified in advance and also confirmation sent by e mail and text on the morning advising that the operative would arrive between 12.37 to 2.37pm to carry out the work.
I had made arrangements to go out in the afternoon in line with the timing schedule but wanted to speak to the operative about some weeds so I stayed in to see him until he arrived
By 3.30pm no one had turned up and no one had contacted me of the no show, so I called Greenthumb offices. After a long delay I spoke to Will who didn’t know why no one had been, and he put me on hold whilst he tried to contact the operative. He told me that he had left messages on two phones as there was no answer, and he had asked the operative to either contact me direct or respond to Will so he could get back to me.
At 15.40pm Will called me back to tell me that apparently the Greenthumb van had broken down and he wasn’t coming out to do the treatment. My response was that if this is the case why had no one contacted me well in advance that day because I had stayed at home all day and was also now late for my arranged meeting. If I had not called Greenthumb I wouldn’t have known, as it was clear nobody at Greenthumb was going to bother.
In light of the no show and me being inconvenienced all day, I told Will I expect the visit to be made on the Monday 18th May, but Will said that might not be possible because of other work programmes. I stated that as I had been inconvenienced all day with no idea they weren’t coming, then Greenthumb should inconvenience themselves and fit me into their work schedule on Monday, even if it meant coming out first thing before doing their other work. Will couldn’t guarantee this but I stressed it was what I expected and Greenthumb should adapt to rectify their mistake and poor service.
The least I expected was a phone call first thing Monday from Will or the operative to inform me they were coming or if not when would it be convenient for me (not them), and an apology for not just the no show but the no contact to let me know when I had stayed in all day.
It is now Tuesday 19th May at 11am and still no contact from anyone.
I have engaged Greenthumb for over 20 years now (and with some hefty price increases) and had quite a number of issues and problems over this period, and probably 4 similar instances where scheduled appointments had no shows without any notifications until I called them late in the day to be told no one was coming for whatever reason.
Greenthumb treatments are not cheap, treatments are “routine” to a degree and carried out rapidly, so the least one should expect is a beautiful lawn like the ones featured in their promotional photos, but good customer service should be a prerequisite from any company, particularly a market leader like Greenthumb
I await someone getting round to contacting me when it works for them

Signed up to Green Thumb to treat the moss on my lawn. A month after signing up no one had contacted me. Phoned twice and was told someone would contact me to book it in. No one did. On third call I was told the moss treatment wouldn't be until next year as we are now in the Summer programme. Wasn't told this at sign up. Cancelled my treatment and was told I'd be given a refund for what was paid so far and have still not received it.

They did a good job although they were late due to one of the machines breaking down apart from that no problems.
