Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers expressed dissatisfaction with the products, citing issues such as missing items, short expiry dates on fresh goods, and poor quality or substitutions for ordered items. The delivery service also received frequent criticism for being late, incomplete, or having problems with the new bagless policy, which made sorting groceries difficult. Reviewers often found the customer service unhelpful, difficult to reach, and unresponsive to complaints, with some reporting rude staff interactions and unresolved refund issues. Some people were dissatisfied with the order process, experiencing difficulties with online ordering, expired delivery slots, and incorrect refunds for out-of-stock items. However, some customers also noted positive experiences with friendly and helpful delivery drivers, good food quality and freshness, and effective cleaning products.

Placed my order of 4x cans of tango and 4x vimto cans last week for delivery today but my order had 3trays of vimto missing was told out of stock ,but in stock when ordering was placed,so didn't get the discount for 4trays as only received 1also still charged for picking order when only half supplied, surly Iceland should be able to put aside orders when placed on line or at least give the option to chose a different type of cans so could still get the offer ,rang customer service and was fined off won't purchase again! Anyone else have this problem?

Lovely staff member - New Cross Gate

I recently shopped at Iceland in New Cross Gate and was genuinely impressed by Eucharia at the till which never went unnoticed. She was incredibly helpful and attentive, even with a large queue. In a world where staff often seem to just be performing a job, Eucharia’s caring approach made my evening. Thank you for going above and beyond.

As a regular customer of iceland in avonmeads I'm very happy with the store itself apart from some occasions when I go to the check out with one in particular staff member who's a small Asian guy who never seems to speak of smile, I'm sure you don't train your staff not to speak to customers not even a hello or a smile, I was served by this young guy at the checkout and no hello just scanned the items didn't even ask if I wanted a receipt got up and walked away like it wasn't even there, not even a Thank you or have a good evening, as I work in retail if find this terrible to treat customers like that, not all staff are bad there's just some, I think you need to retrain your staff on customer service.

I ordered a on line shopping to be…

I ordered a on line shopping to be delivered on Saturday 11th April between 10am - 12pm, I waited in for my shopping, my time slot came and went, so i contacted the store and after what seems ages it was about 5 minutes they answered the phone, only to tell me my time slot had been changed to 7pm - 9pm even tho i had not been told. I told them that time was not good for me as i go to bed early as i get up at 2am for work, so i asked them to deliver the shopping on Sunday 12th April between 8am - 10am, and ask the driver to come to my address about 8.30am, so i came home from work on sunday morning waited in for my shopping, It didnt come sobi phoned the help line and they said the store was not answering the phone, so she emailed them and told me i would have to wait til Monday to see if they delivered the shopping. Again i waited in all day Monday and still no shopping, so once again i phone the help line only to be told they can not send another email. I tried phone the store again and i eventually got through, the girl on the phone said she didnt know anything about it, so i explained, she told me it would be delivered Tuesday between 5pm - 7pm. I then received a text to say it was running late and they would get the shopping as quick as possible. I eventually got my shopping at 20 pass 5, the driver was amazing and kept apologising to me, i told him all the drivers are brilliant and i dont blame them at all. The management need to care about there customers and get their instrutions right before handing it over to the driver. I have had no compensation just an apology. Iceland wake up and listen to your customers because you need them to keep your stores open.

A very disappointing Online Shopping

my recent delivery experience, was extremely disappointing and unacceptable, particularly as this was my first order with Iceland supermarket.
My delivery was scheduled between 7pm and 9pm. At 7pm, I received a message stating that delivery had been attempted but access to my premises was not possible. This information was incorrect, as there were no road closures or access issues at my address.
I immediately contacted the driver, who initially claimed the road was closed by police. When I informed him this was not the case, he said he could not hear me and would call back, but he never did.
When I called again, another staff member informed me that multiple calls had been made to me. However, the numbers they quoted were not mine, despite confirming my correct postcode. This indicates a serious issue with how my contact details were handled.
I was then told that the order had been returned and would be delivered the next day, without any consideration for the inconvenience caused. When I requested a refund, I was abruptly told to contact customer care and the call was ended.
This entire experience has been frustrating, misleading, and handled with a lack of professionalism.

I am very disappointed.

If you have a hidden disability, don’t go to Iceland Newton Heath

Visited an Iceland store with my Chihuahua in a sling around my neck they refused me enter for hygiene purposes apparently when you look online.

I kicked up a bit of a fuss when the security guard I don’t know who he thinks he is, but he decided he was going to ban me. I’ve never been so humiliated being banned from an Iceland store. It’s worse than being banned from Poundland.

The lovely manager Natalie also called me a weirdo lovely people lovely atmosphere don’t bother trying to contact Iceland. They don’t give a damn even they’re managing director who is on X.

So if you have a hidden disability or you are disabled to the people Iceland you are a weirdo. It just so happened. She happened to say to my face so God knows what else you thinking when you walk in and the staff decide to profile you as you walk in

Zero stars review unprofessional behaviour

Zero stars review regarding Woodhall BRADFORD store, Head office and recruitment incuding the unprofessional behaviour of Natalie Roberts snd Katelyn Henry in the legal department

I've had issues at Woodhall BRADFORD store as an Asian foreign male secuity guard falsely accused me of Shop Lifting. There wasn't any evidence instore confirmed by Natalie Roberts on CCTV DPO for Iceland but he attacked me. Pulled open my shopping bag to look instead. The Alarm had gone off while I was inside but I was far away from it. He followed me outside stated he can do that. Morrisons confirmed he can't do that the secruity guard there that I already know but I went back he refused to get the Branch Manager at Iceland therefore put a complaint in however Natalie Roberts was trying to get hold of my image to put on a data base instead she stated she wasn't however since then. The recruitment for Iceland are telling candidates to put inappropriate personal information on application forms. That shouldn't be on. Then received incorrect emails regarding transparency from both Natalie Roberts and then Katelyn Henry with a wrong telephone number on that's invalid. Not only that the call centre is in South Africa with email's for customer service been boused back. I've only bought a shopping bag since at Merrion Centre in Leeds store. As there are better offers now elsewhere.

18/03/26. i received delivery to my door, at the selective time, the kind driver infomed me that the orders no longer are deliverd in bags, as per web site, the problem is moving the order contents from the create to to my kitchen to unload, iam unstable on my feet and unloading at the front door is not an option, the driver did state that the removal of the bag service is stated on thier website, as i can not tranfer goods though my living room one item at a time, i rejected the delivery. My son bought some fresh chicken…

My son bought some fresh chicken breast/fillets and cooked them the same day, the texture was abnormal, chewy sponge like abomination, I’ve been a chef for more than 30 years and never had anything like this, will never buy anything from there again, was this lab grown??? Definitely something sinister for sure.

What on earth is this new bagless…

What on earth is this new bagless delivery policy?
We have used online shopping for many years with no complaints or problems apart from the occasional missing item. We are both in our 70's and suffer from mobility issues which is why we shop online. Now we are having to unload the groceries on the doorstep, not easy with out conditions!! we try to be as quick as we can and put it all in carrier bags to take to kitchen where we then have to unpack it all and put it away again.by which time we are struggling. This new system is penalising old and infirm people who are struggling! Must also delay drivers who have to wait while people gather there goods. The driver today told us that it's a government ruling that they can no longer supply carrier bags?? So all the other supermarkets are breaking the law then?
We shall be shopping with one of the law breakers in future and saving ourselves some aches and pains !
