Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 183 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Customers frequently experienced frustrating issues with missing items, severe delivery delays, and orders arriving completely incomplete or damaged. Additionally, people struggled to get support, as customer service representatives were often unhelpful, dismissive, or completely unreachable when problems arose. Consumers also reported receiving poor quality or spoiled food products featuring very short expiry dates. Some reviewers were happy with the friendly delivery drivers who provided great assistance during drop-offs. Shoppers also mentioned that general grocery items were satisfactory and staff members were occasionally very supportive. Shocking service

Did an on line shop was an hour late and a crate of my items missing been trying to get my refund since the 10th July that they agreed to give me and I've had nothing.

Sent so many emails and keep getting an apology but still nothing.

Taking money and not supplying the good it's not ok and should not happen to anyone absolutely shocking customer service.

Don't shop at Iceland if you value your money and time not worth it other shops just as good and don't give you run around for what is yours

Treated like a scammer

Been a customer for over 15 years. No mega issues until Sunday. I did my online order, 11 pot noodles were substituted, I sent them back with the driver. The store said they didnt receive them so I will not be refunded. Absolutely flabbergasted. Alot of back and forth with them, been treated like a scammer. Jokes on them as they have a thief in their company. I'm done with Iceland. Nettleham Fields, Lincoln

Driver Called in Sick... AGAIN?!" How Iceland Cost Myprotein a Loyal Customer

Extremely disappointed with the service. My Friday delivery on MYPROTEIN products failed because the driver called in sick, and the rescheduled Monday morning delivery failed for the exact same reason. As a result, I won't be buying from Iceland again. MYPROTEIN has made a mistake giving exclusive retail rights to a company that can't fulfil basic deliveries, they are misrepresenting your brand and driving away loyal customers.

Always chase up your missing item refunds.

Always make sure you chase up a refund for a missing item if it’s below £5. If it’s £5 or over - you’ll see in your confirmation email that the missing item has been refunded & it will be. But if it’s below £5 make sure you chase it up because although the confirmation email will tell you the refund has been processed…it hasn’t. When your due a refund of £1/£2/£3…you tend to forget about it & expect the refund to be paid back.
When this happens over the course of a year to every customer who gets a low value item missed off their delivery …think about how much extra revenue a company would make from this.
Now scroll down & you might read a read a generic customer service response about “customer feedback is appreciated” & “we strive for excellence “ then a scripted statement about how they always adhere to consumer law regarding refunds.

Then…
The next time an item is missing off your delivery & the email confirmation says it’s been processed…after 5 days when you check your bank account & see your £1/£2/£3 missing item hasn’t been refunded…remember what you read here today.

ICELAND NEW CROSS GATE

ICELAND NEW CROSS GATE, LONDON – THIS IS HOW YOU TREAT AN ELDERLY CUSTOMER?

The staff and management at Iceland New Cross Gate should be held accountable for their rude, dismissive and incompetent behaviour. It is stores like this that damage Iceland's reputation. They all deserve to be sacked from their job.

Seven days ago, I placed an in-store delivery order for eight crates of water, with delivery scheduled for the following day. I am in my 80s and physically unable to carry that amount of water home, which is exactly why I paid for a delivery service.

I received a text message confirming that my order was on its way. It never arrived.

Since then, I have:

Spent over 5 hours on the phone.
Sent more than 15 emails.
Contacted customer services every single day.
Visited the store in person over 12 times.

Every time, customer services say they are "contacting the store." The store either ignores the issue completely or refuses to respond. When I visit, the Store Manager reportedly avoids speaking to customers instead of resolving the problem. Staff / Manager are rude over the phone, and says I should contact the uber driver. The sheer incompetence in that..

It appears the New Cross Gate store is using Uber drivers for deliveries, yet somewhere along the line my order has simply disappeared. No one accepts responsibility. No one communicates. No one seems to care.

This is not just about eight crates of water. It is about how an elderly customer has been treated with complete disregard. After seven days, there has been no delivery, no meaningful update, no apology, and no resolution.

A company is judged not by how it treats customers when everything goes well, but by how it responds when something goes wrong. In this case, Iceland New Cross Gate has failed spectacularly.

If this is how elderly customers are treated, people deserve to know.

Iceland: Do better. Or loose many more customers and you should be taken to court with this behaviour.

On a Tuesdays pensioners get 10% off…sometimes ?

On a Tuesdays pensioners get 10% off shop
I spent £50 today got home looked at my receipt nothing off, it’s getting delivered within the next 2 hours. I rang the shop and they basically said hard luck, I’m 71 this October I use a walking stick I showed them my Iceland card for delivery they knew I was a pensioner. And in any case it should be on record by my Iceland id card, Very poor management in the Gateshead 119 Store. Will never ever shop at any Iceland again - girl on phone was clueless and never intended to even try to help me.
It is a very overpriced shop anyway?

I ordered some products from them in a value of £68 on 28th May and I don't received anything. They have just one phone number for everything, complaints, refund or other stuff. The people which answer the phone barely speak English. Any way they refuse refund, even I am single parent with a little girl. I rise a dispute with my bank and nothing happens. SO BE AWARE ABOUT SCUM ICELAND.

Spent £120 got £20 worth!!!

Absolutely appalling experience with Iceland.

I paid £120 for a full grocery delivery and received barely one-sixth of what I ordered. To make matters worse, despite providing the details of the missing items, Iceland has refused to issue a refund for goods that were never delivered.

It's unacceptable to take payment for products you don't supply and then expect customers to fight for their money back. The whole experience has been frustrating, stressful, and a complete waste of time. Customer service has been dismissive rather than helpful, leaving me feeling like they simply don't care once they've taken your money.

I trusted Iceland to deliver my shopping, but instead I was left without the majority of my order and out of pocket. I won't be using their delivery service again, and I certainly wouldn't recommend it to anyone who expects reliable service or fair treatment when things go wrong.

Avoid if you value your time, your money, and decent customer service.

Home delivery

Home delivery - frozen was defrosted fresh was warm all went in the bin. I got refunded for damaged items. I've tried and tried to contact someone other than customer services to get an explanation of why my delivery was so bad and not safe to eat but haven't been able to. The store that made the delivery the phone just rings and rings then cuts off the head office number is not recognised so you have to go through customer service they said the complaint will be passed on but i won't get a reply so in other words nothing will be done which is disgraceful to treat customers like that. I would give zero stars if i could.

Listen to these reviews and avoid this…

Listen to these reviews and avoid this place like the plague.

Sent me out of date chicken one week, then canceled an order 1 hour before it's due the next. Only now I've got to wait 10 days for a refund, when they only took the payment 2 hours before they cancelled it. Customer service is pretty much none existent.

On line Shoppjng. Cornflakes advert says BUY two Get One free I bought two. I never got a free one
Local Driffield shop not very helpful. Says I should have BOUGHT three and then price deducted at till. That is NOT how it was worded. Rang head office very unhelpful. When I asked to speak to manager was told ALL in a meeting. I am still awaiting a call back

After an Iceland delivery yesterday

After an Iceland delivery yesterday. Missing quite a few items.
Ringing the local store Cwmbran for the past two days and eventually just rings out.
So frustrating trying to then call the customer service and as the delivery was for my mother in law who is 82 and we order her food, they would not speak to us as we were not her 😡😡😡

Where do I start?

Where do I start?! The fact they do bagless deliveries now is so bad. You have to handball everything and if its a big shop there is nowhere to put it all and be able to close your door afterwards. I have pets that I can't let out so can't put it in another room. I also had to lift a very heavy pack of water and was struggling, the delivery driver did nothing just stood there and waited for me to finish. There's also the issue if something isn't in stock. They either give you something else or dont give you a choice. There should be a substitute option. Think I will be shopping elsewhere in future, today was the final straw!!!

SERIOUSLY A 3 YR OLD BANNED

Where do I start, well the security moron has actually banned my 3 Yr old grandson from the store. All over a toothbrush for which my son and daughter in law had a receipt for. The same security moron accused my husband yrs ago of stealing and hiding something under his top, it's was his STOMA BAG. Next the same security moron allows adults to walk out with bags of security tagged meat and never challengs them but he does a genuine family with a 3 ye old child.. So iceland would you care to explain to me WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON.
