My family and I really enjoyed our time with Chip. He was thorough in his teaching, patient when we were slow, was entertaining, would answer any question and just made the day very interesting and fun. He loves teaching and wants American citizens to exercise their right to bear arms by learning how to safely handle a gun. Every one of us would very highly recommend taking any class with The Gun Whisperer.

I was a novice but felt that the responsible thing to do was learn about pistols since my husband bought one. I left feeling comfortable and knowledgeable about how to handle, store, maintain and use one effectively. Plus Chip is a great guy.

The certification course that I attended far exceeded my expectations. A lot of important and helpful information from the book, from the instructor's shared personal knowledge and experiences' and from hands on classroom experience was extremely educational. Visiting the shooting range with the instructor and getting real time practice was the icing on the cake. I would strongly recommend the certification course and the instructor, Mr. Howard Hall. .

My wife and I went to the Gun Whisperer for pistol training and he wildly exceeded our expectations. The 9-hour course went by quickly and he made the course very engaging. Howard Hall is a USMC Lt. Col. and firearms expert...why would you want instruction from anyone else? Professional, personable, passionate. We'll be booking with the Gun Whisperer again for shotgun/rifle training!

I am taking more classes with them in the future. Already registered for the 2nd class in May. I will recommend them to my circle of friends in a heartbeat!

Great course, very educational and hands-on. I appreciate the small class, the open dialogue and comfortable setting. I would definitely recommend and would take additional courses.

I recently took a class with Gun Whisperer, and it was hands down one of the best things I could have ever done for myself. The level of experience and professionalism the instructor has is top notch. With the way the world is going these days, you can never be too safe. This class taught me the safety and responsibility behind gun ownership, as well as the power behind the firearm. Leaving the class that afternoon from the range, my heart was pumping and my adrenaline was flowing like never before. I was truly satisfied, to say the least! The way the classroom instruction was set up, and the patience of the Instructor shows the true pride behind this company and behind the services they offer. I would recommend this a million times over to anybody who is looking to gain some knowledge in a fun, laid-back yet professional environment. 5 stars is an understatement, I would give it 100 if I could! If you are are serious about gun ownership, and serious about learning the safety behind doing so, give them a call or shoot them an email and they will answer any questions you may have. What are you waiting for?!

Highly recommended for beginners and all levels. Howard is extremely knowledgeable and his passion to teach makes him a great instructor. The class is small (4 max) and he tailors the class to everyone's interests. Just finished my 1st shooting with a coach and will definitely continue my training with him.

Howard went over and beyond at the end of the training.He asked us if we had the extra time to stick around after the gun range training so that he could impart us with more knowledge and training. He loves this. His passion when talking shows.

First time learning how to handle a fire arm, learning all the NRA safety material, taking the test, practice shooting and going to the range. All in one day, never got tired, never got bored, never lost interest. The Gun Whisperer makes it fun and takes so much care and patience that anyone can do it. And most of all: he does it with the highest standards of safety as he was trained by the Marine Corps. A highly decorated Marine Corps Officer, he is very qualified while at the same time enjoys his gift of teaching what he has mastered. Would highly recommend his classes.

The Gun Whisperer really knows his stuff. Howard brought years of real world experience and practical knowledge to the course. In addition, he provided outstanding feedback and guidance on the range, and never seem to get rattled with us novice shooters. I have already recommended this course to three of my friends and family members. Looking forward to taking the "shooting with a coach" course from the Gun Whisperer in the future.

This class was just perfect for me. Before the class, Howard emailed all the students asking why they were taking the class and if there was any area they were especially interested in. He then tailored the class to our needs. The class was small so there was the opportunity for lots of one on one instruction. I highly recommend it.

Howard Hall of Gun Whisperer presented both a highly informative and enjoyable 'Refuse to be a Victim' course. It was time well spent. From personal security to security on-line, while traveling and at home, he provided both tips to implement immediately as well as things to think about for the future. Some were obvious, common sense things perhaps I had forgotten or had taken for granted, others were things I never had thought of previously. All were worth considering. You will look at your world differently after this course. Highly recommended.

A fantastic teacher gives hours of recommendations on all aspects of a person's security concerns, including mental preparedness, home security, physical security travel security, cyber security, and automobile security.

This was a very personalized instruction for my wife and I this past Sat. I have some formal military training, but it has been a lot of years in the past and this was great to familiar again and for my wife it was a first time experience and Chip really took his time with her and made her feel comfortable enough to get over the anxiety to be able to feel comfortable with the weapon and hit the target.

This was not just about shooting a pistol, it was about proper safety protocols and what to do and not to do in certain situations--very practical and very defensive in outlook and I was pleasantly surprised with this. For example the wepon is your last line of defense as I understood it and it is best to escape if possible, but if you cannot then barricade and dial 911, give verbal warnings and let the police to their job, unless someone is absolutely intent on getting you, then you have the wepon as the last resort. Very good advice/instruction. I would highly recommend this course and specifically this instructor to anyone considering to take this course--it gives you plenty of time for questions and answers and is not too fast paced that you cannot "get it". It is a small group and ideal to lean. Looking forward to my next more advanced class.

I found the Gun Whisperer while searching online for firearms training. I live in Wash DC so I was looking for something closer than the NRA facility. So I decided to try the Gun Whisperer that holds training classes in the Mount Vernon area. I signed up for the basic pistol shooting class as I am a total novice.

The class is all day including class room time and range time. But I felt this time was very well spent. If you don't know much about guns in general, there are many things to learn. One full day is just barely enough time to get the basics. Our instructor, Chip, was extremely patient and took the time to answer each and every question. The small classroom format of 4 students is perfect for learning. I would strongly recommend this class to people who want to learn about pistols. The time on the range was interesting and fun. You get to try 5 different pistols to help you decide what's best for you. I look forward to my next class!

I have limited proficiency with firearms and this class was exactly what I was looking for. Howard is obviously very skilled in this area but provides the information in a way that is easy to absorb. His use of the laser machine to practice prior to the live fire was great and gave me more confidence to move on to the range portion. We also had an opportunity to try different types of handguns on the range which was helpful. Highly recommend this course!

This is one of the best courses I have taken and I have taken probably four safety courses over the past 10 years. It was very interactive and Ltcol Hall was sensitive to each of the students needs. I would highly recommend this course to anyone from the novice to the experienced shooter.

I must confess I was slightly apprehensive at undertaking firearms training. My previous encounters with individuals at several gun counters had left me thinking that firearms instructors were in general rude and arrogant. I had handled and used firearms throughout my former service in the United Kingdom Armed forces. However, this is a perishable skill and I wanted to start handgun ownership and use with a back to basics approach. The training from Howard Hall, both classroom and practical (firing range) not only met this requirement but exceeded my expectations. Howard Hall put me at ease straight away with his friendly and professional demeanor. At no time did I feel that I was out of my depth or uncomfortable handling a handgun in a safe manner. I cannot recommend Howard Hall highly enough for anyone looking to undertake firearms training.

Mr Howard Hall is an amazing teacher who will take your unlimited questions to make sure you get the material and all concepts are clear. Thank you so much for taking our never ending questions and your positive attitude allowed us to learn effectively and ask questions without any hesitation. I absolutely loved the experience but the credit goes to him and the efforts he put in designing and structuring this course. Thank you for simplifying it in a few words through great practical examples. My husband and I will never forget meeting you and we sincerely thank you for spending so much time with us.
