I had a very frustrating experience with Gurugo and would strongly advise others to be cautious.
The service uses misleading pricing and subscription practices. What appears to be a low-cost or trial offer quickly turns into significantly higher charges, with the subscription terms not clearly or prominently communicated during the purchase process.
The checkout flow itself is also confusing, requiring multiple steps and add-ons, which makes it difficult to clearly understand what you are agreeing to.
When I noticed the charge and contacted support, I clearly requested a refund multiple times. Instead of addressing the request, they repeatedly tried to offer alternative perks or “free access” that I did not ask for. It felt like my request was being deliberately avoided rather than resolved.
The customer support experience was especially disappointing — responses often felt automated and did not directly address my refund request.
Due to the lack of resolution, I have escalated the issue through my bank and also submitted complaints to consumer protection authorities.
Overall, this comes across as a subscription trap with poor transparency and ineffective customer support.
Fraud, fraud, fraud! Stay away! After offering me a one-euro course deal, three days later they charged me $89, activating a subscription I hadn't requested. The subscription was monthly and automatic. When I reported it, they told me they'd offer me lifetime access to their platform and services as an excuse, but they didn't refund me the amount. Scammers.
Total scam of a company. Advertises $1 “course” that you never receive access to but then charges your card for an $89 monthly subscription you did not authorize. They make it impossible to get a refund and the customer service is likely an AI bot. Your bank will likely not approve a chargeback either. Avoid them at all costs.
Don't like the cost. I made a mistake & didn't cancel before the 3 days so was charged $89.99. I tried to cancel and get a refund but was told I had to show I used it for $14 days with no results for a refund, I hadn't used it at all so no refund. Sofia was very nice and gave me access to all the classes which is cool & it was my mistake but that is a lot of $. Kim
I acccidentaly bought a premium account, wanted to delete it an get a refund, but instead they gave me lifetime granted to the app
Absolute scam. Took money, didn’t deliver anything, refused to cancel future payments!
subscribed for free $1 trial ,,,, 3 days later, now been debited $89 for a 1 year subscription without authorisation - small print indicates you cannot cancel and get a refund despite FAQ saying you can in 14 days - contacted support and I am being quoted section 6 and that I have to follow the programme for 14 consecutive days - why did I not look on here first - I am sure I won't be the last to be scammed - have now cancelled credit card to be sure they won't debit me again
Paid $0.99 for one course and within 2 days had over $150.00 charged to my credit card. Apparently somewhere in the volume of rules they send you is a clause that says if you don’t cancel in 3 days it will automatically renew at $89,99 US per month. Plus, there was another charge the day I paid my $0.99 for over $32.00 but they haven’t told me what for.
In order to cancel the payment I’m told I
Must complete 14 classes, consult with a fitness trainer and I’m sure that will cost extra as well
Added to that is the fact that one exercise session has aggravated the issue I was hoping this would fix
Stay far away
I had the pleasure of interacting with an amazing lady named Sonia Bennett. I was amazed with the care, time, patience, and knowledge she showed me. Her kind words, being so helpful and caring is something that is rare these days in Customer Support.
As a lady who used to be in charge of a Customer Support centre, I know when you have been dealing with someone who is very caring, kind, helpful knowledgeable and taking the time to address your concerns. Her company is very lucky to have her. Even though sometimes it may not go the way a client wants, she made sure that I felt heard, cared for and happy with the outcome. I would give her a 10/10 for her Customer Support skills, honestly, caring, and professional support. It was such a please dealing with her and I hope that she is acknowledged for her amazing service she gave me. If I was still working I would definitely would want her on my team. She made my dealing with my issue a pleasure and I would recommend Gurugo through my experience with her.
I signed up through an Instagram ad offering a $1 course with a 99% discount. The offer looked like a one-time payment.
However, just 3 days later, I was charged $89 without any clear or obvious warning about a recurring subscription.
The key issue is that the subscription terms are hidden in small print at the bottom of the page and not clearly disclosed before payment. The checkout even suggests a “one-time payment,” which is misleading.
When I contacted support, they refused to issue a refund and instead tried to offer “lifetime access” and other bonuses instead of returning my money.
This feels like a deceptive billing practice designed to trick users into unintended subscriptions.
Be very careful before entering your card details. This is not transparent and not user-friendly.
Total scam!
Hiding info about subscription in terms and conditions, and then charge $89 and refuse to do a refund
Avoid them!
I signed up for a €1 course, but during the checkout process I was presented with multiple additional offers. By clicking through the steps, I unintentionally ended up being charged for three extra bundles (€34.90 each) without fully realizing it.
I contacted customer support immediately and clearly explained that the purchases were not intentional and that I had not used any of the courses. Instead of offering a refund, they repeatedly referred to their terms and conditions and proposed “free access” as an alternative.
The refund policy requires completing 14 days of usage, which is unreasonable in cases of accidental purchases.
This kind of checkout flow is misleading and designed to push users into unintended charges. I would strongly advise others to be extremely careful.
Complete scammers, please don’t purchase any course from them, they will lie to you with a $1 offer, but then charge you a big amount of money you don’t agree with, with the excuse of having that hidden in their terms and conditions. They are scammers, their false advertising is completely illegal. Their strategy is to steal from people and then try to justify it and offer a bunch of courses, but they are not willing to give any refund for the money charged.
It's a dishonest company, it's similar to a scam; they offer courses for $1, but they force you into a $69 monthly subscription.
They hide in their terms of use that they will charge you 60 dollars after 3 days of the initial purchase for something that you didn't even show any interest in at the beginning
I liked all the Sophia's advice and help and their website has some very interesting programs (for training glutes, core, back, activation of kundalini, etc)
The courses are several and diverse which is great. A voting function on the site of what content to upload more would be a great idea for all the clients. For example ( i would like more ballet classes for advanced). Moreover, I got immediat costumer support care when i had concerns about my subscription. The support team is so nicely spoked, they understoond my case and try to come up with the best solution possible, so that its a win-win for the clients and their company.
scam! They advertise a course for $1—literally just one lesson—which I bought, but then it turned out they charged me extra! And they won’t issue a refund, claiming that I supposedly agreed to it myself! Where else can I file a complaint to get this site shut down for scamming people?
I’ve really enjoyed my experience with this program so far! The structure, guidance, and workouts are all very well designed, and I’ve felt more motivated and energized with each session. The process is clear, organized, and truly helps you stay consistent.
I would especially like to mention Sofia, who has been incredibly helpful throughout my journey — always kind, attentive, and very supportive. Her messages and detailed explanations make the experience even smoother and more personal.
I sincerely appreciate the effort the entire team puts into helping participants progress. I know that sharing and processing feedback involves several stages of moderation, so thank you for taking the time to go through it. 🩵
Overall, I’m very satisfied and grateful for this positive and motivating experience!
Absolute SCAM!!
Bought a $1 course, and have been charged 69 dollars, did not sign up, apparently agreed to this when I paid the $1, bank won’t do anything!! I am telling you if I knew that I was signing up to a subscription I definitely would not have, despite them saying it’s clearly written it definitely IS NOT!!
I have written email after email and get the same message, I signed up and if I want my money back I need to complete the course with proof that I didn’t make progress… absolute BS, I’m not completing a course that I didn’t sign up for.
And don’t get me started on the cancellation period… which doesn’t exist, even though they say it’s three days, you have to jump through hoops and meet all of the ridiculous criteria! AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!!
