Too many bits and pieces coming from…

Too many bits and pieces coming from different suppliers…..Since writing this review, being a small family business I have received a swift response and explanation. Feel a bit better now ! Thank you

GUSTATORY is an online marketplace in which we offer our customers the convenient ability to shop from 350+ independent brands all in a single location and checkout with a single GUSTATORY account, or as a guest. As such, our customers do not need seperate online accounts with each of the brands they purchase from.

The two primary reasons why GUSTATORY does not hold stock ourselves and that we facilitate direct to consumer deliveries is because it enables those who order food and drink items to benefit from receiving as fresh produce as possible (i.e freshly roasted coffee), and those who order home and kitchen equipment (or similar) to enjoy the most competitive of prices that are available anywhere.

In regards to your order, as a family-owned small-team company, we thank you for ordering 8 items from 6 different brands in your one checkout, with a range of brewing equipment and coffee included. We hope that you enjoy all of these, and if any are Christmas gifts, that their receivers enjoy them too! FANTASTIC and personable customer service.

I ordered for the first time from Gustatory as they had an item cheaper than it'd seen it anywhere else, including Amazon (first bonus) and (second bonus) also had a discount code for the order, making it even better value for money. The item shipped quickly and I soon got a delivery notification.

I had an issue with a delay on the order from Royal Mail. This wasn't Gustatory's fault, but I contacted them via email and their live chat to see if they were able to help me look into it. I sent the email before spotting the chat, but the reply on the chat was instant and said they'd just received my email as well, which was wonderful to know the it was being so closely monitored. Michael and Chris on their customer service team are very quick to respond. Michael quickly looked into my order via the live chat and I really appreciated his friendly, straightforward manner and the fact that he clearly wasn't following a script, and although he reassured me it was probably just a postal delay, he was still very happy to look into it for me and didn't make me feel bad for contacting them 'too soon' with my concerns. I was also promised a replacement if the package did turn out to be lost. As it happened, the delivery arrived whilst we were chatting but he was still incredibly lovely and didn't make me feel as if I'd wasted his time. All in all, great prices and absolutely fantastic and personable customer service, which was really appreciated. I will definitely be using Gustatory in the future.

The same shipping costs apply on the GUSTATORY marketplace as if shopping direct, with each brand having their own shipping costs, free delivery thresholds and accepted purchase destinations. As such, the shipping costs you've paid at checkout are that which the brand charges. Hope this clarifies how the marketplace works, and hope to see you again!

The packaging is very poor

The packaging is very poor - Item arrived in an unsealed box which could be opened by anyone. It also had a picture of the product on the front which was annoying as it cost nearly £300 and was a surprise xmas gift for my husband and he took receipt of the delivery so now he knows what he is getting !

Deliver came promptly and the product…

Deliver came promptly and the product is really good. I wish I would have bought the size up on my fellow flask. It really keeps my drinks hott, for a very long time. It's too good at holding heat in fact, you can't enjoy your drink unless you keep the lid off.

The experience was good

The experience was good. I thought I would receive the coffee from the subscription the first day of the month but it arrived few days after. The coffee was gorgeous, and since it was the first month they sent an extra bag as a gift! If you are into specialty coffee and you want to try some of the best European roasters I definitely recommend a Gustatory subscription!

I was referred to Gustatory through a friend and have found the experience to be really great! The coffee sent was of a great quality and the interactions with Gustatory as a whole was really personal and friendly! The hand written welcome note was a really great touch!

Cannot recommend MORE!!

I have been receiving coffee (their 87+ subscription) from Gustatory for nearly 2 years now, genuinely impressed with the quality and variety as they source from the best roasters from all over Europe. Always delivered fresh with roast date seldomly more than 2 weeks prior. Their customer service is also top notch, very approachable with the online chat service whenever I needed to adjust my subscription for intermittent increase in consumption with family and friends around. Price is very reasonable it is similar, if not cheaper than getting speciality coffee from well established cafes, but again you get the amazing variety. What more can a coffee enthusiast ask for?

Excellent coffee subscription service

All the coffee I've received to date has been excellent and it's clear that Gustatory spends a great deal of time and effort sourcing its products. Through their monthly subscription service, I've been introduced to some fabulous roasters from around the world, many of whom I would not have discovered otherwise. First class.
