Lack of response broken 40kg DB
No issues on delivery timeframe, although I didn’t receive the text and email updates as promised merely a text the day delivery was due. The 2x 40kg dumbells arrived in x3 boxes, the final one contained a number of the weight plates perhaps due to cost of posting but this box had been resealed by DPD and was falling apart still The weights were merely enclosed in a small bubble wrap in a thin cardboard box barely giving any protection. Furthermore one of the dumbells had white chalk marks all over it which was a total mess and I had to clean it. The next issue was the scratches on the handle on both dumbells which makes them look as if they’ve been used before many times. I was prepared to accept this and not say anything but in my second workout whilst literally holding a dumbell in one arm the heaviest plate dropped onto the floor and I later realised that the plastic slot had snapped meaning the weight cannot reattach and I can’t change to use the lower settings as I have seen happened with another customer. I have emailed twice and no reply leading me to warn people on here. I noticed the website is closed also recently claiming to reopen in Feb, then 3rd March both of which haven’t happened so I have no contact number to call. I hope I can come back and post of a resolution but currently I feel I’m being ignored and have been sold next to useless equipment. If anyone has a number for Zymzo please share it in here. Thanks
Nervously watching until a pleasant surprise
Having been nervously watching the posts come in on TrustPilot since ordering in late December, it would be remiss of me not to add my experience to the mix.
I ordered 2 x 24kg Dumbells back on the 28th December, and immediately received a confirmation email, followed by a shipping update from DPD on 5th January. Accepting the 35-45 day economy shipping, I first reached out for an update from Harry @ Gymzo on 17th January, and again on the 15th February. Both times I received a response on the same day, and in the latter being informed that the delivery times would now be at around the 60 day mark.
Whilst not ideal, I accepted this for what looked to be a good product, supporting a small vendor starting their journey in the midst of an extremely challenging climate (Covid, Brexit etc).
On 1st March, having now surpassed the 60 day window and getting very anxious, I emailed again though this time received no response. There had also been no update to the DPD tracking number given in the entire time (having been checking on a daily basis).
I was preparing to give it until the end of this week before reaching out again, resigning myself to the fact that it might be a case of querying the charge on my credit card if no response was forthcoming.
However, to my surprise my dumbells arrived this morning, and I'm absolutely thrilled with the quality of the product thus far..
Having seen some posts about cracked weights, having to put them together etc, they were packaged extremely well, and came already complete and ready to go.
Whilst there is undeniably some work to be done on the communications and logistics front, for the price and supporting a small enterprise, whilst my hopes of a New Year fitness resolution are starting a couple of months late, I really am pleased with the set and will look to use Gymzo again in the future (albeit accepting a 3 month wait time!)
Great product, painfully slow delivery
Further update - very prompt response from Gymzo with clear instructions on how to fix the problem. Ideally the dumbells would have come with this so that it could have been fixed straight away. Updated to 5 stars.
UPDATE TO THE BELOW
After waiting over 3 months my dumbells were delivered. From what seemed to be fairly good quality, both dumbells have now broken after very careful use. I can no longer select weights from the stack and am stuck with two useless dumbells that have odd amonts of weigth on each end of the dumbell.
Currently awaiting an aswer from Harry on this ...
Previous message below -
Like many people I am waiting over 2 months for my order with little or no communication from Gymzo.
Reading some of these reviews suggests that products have been arriving, but i've not seen a single photo of them on social media etc to know if these dumbells actually exist, or if the positive reviews are just fake to entice people to buy.
Can anyone share a photo on social meida of the products?
Good product - worth the wait
I ordered the 2x40kg and it is definitely a really great product. I ordered on December 22nd and 2 of the 3 boxes arrived yesterday (March 2nd) so yeah a long wait but should eventually be worth that wait. Edit 3rd parcel has now arrived and am definitely happy with my purchase.
I know many of you reading this will be…
I know many of you reading this will be nervous that your products haven't arrived so wanted to share my experience.
I ordered x2 24KG dumbbells on 22nd December. I knew it would take a while to deliver based on the estimate at time of order - with my order due for delivery in early February. I emailed Gymzo and got a response from Harry who said there was a COVID delay and the delivery will be delayed by a further 3-4 weeks.
Three weeks went by and still no delivery. I emailed Harry for an update but didn't hear anything back, which made me nervous. Three more emails and I finally got a response saying the order would be with me within 60 days (which had elapsed). The day after this latest communication, the dumbbells finally arrived.
Long and short of it is the price is great and the product is great. But the communication isn't prompt and I don't expect Gymzo know the location of the delivery, only that 'it should be within a couple of weeks', hence the vague response. I suspect Gymzo is a one man band at the start of their journey - lots of improvements to make (which I'm sure they will do), but a great product and felt Harry to be very honest, so just be patient.
Product is good, service is awful
I previously did a post on here claiming this was a scam. After 70+ days I finally received my dumbbells. I must admit the product is really good, I have had no issues with it.
For those who may be worrying if they have been scammed, rest assured the product is real. Don't expect much from a customer service side especially when chasing your order, they sporadically reply to emails if at all.
Hope this review helps a few people rest easy.
I finally received a pair of 40kg…
I finally received a pair of 40kg dumbbells on 2nd March having ordered them on 23rd December. I knew I was in for a wait but it took longer than originally quoted (35 to 45 days) and I wasn't made aware that my wait would be longer or the reasons for the delay (assume brexit which is fair enough but I still want to be advised of this). The product is excellent but sadly one of the plates is badly cracked. I wasn't aware the delivery would come in 3 boxes (assume to keep within a certain weight tolerance) and the first two boxes with the actual dumbbells in were well packaged and all was fine. The issue was with the third package containing the remaining plates which came after the first 2 boxes and was packaged and handled terribly leading to one of the plates becoming cracked in two places and I'm amazed only one plate was damaged. I've emailed Gymzo to ask for a replacement plate but sadly I don't hold out a great deal of hope that they will respond and I have no idea how to go about sourcing a replacement plate myself. All in all it is clearly not a scam but something is going on with regards to the sudden ceasing of communication which is really unfortunate for Gymzo and their reputation. I note that someone updated their website to show they will have products again today (originally it said 26th Feb) and so I hope they aren't just ignoring existing customers. I'd be willing to upgrade my review if I get a replacement plate as I don't want to harm their reputation but firstly I expect some communication and commitment to resolve my issue.
Update: after much chasing on my end I was finally contacted by Gymzo and they then agreed to send me a replacement plate. When the plate arrived it was also cracked! So obviously I contacted them again but to my surprise I was basically told that the cracked plates are safe and I got the impression they weren't going to resolve my issue and that I should ok with damaged goods. They are now ignoring me again which supports this view. At first I thought they were struggling with pressures of Brexit/Covid but now I'm just convinced they don't care about customer service. I would not purchase again or recommend anyone deal with them.
Updated based on delivery
Updating my review based on the arrival of the product today, having nor used them yet they do take some assembly, and I recommend watching 'Fixing Bowflex Select Tech Dumbbells' video on YouTube to get them in a nice working order. My initially issue still stands, the service was massively delayed and with little customer contact overall. I think if customer care was better then alot of the poor reviews on here could be avoided. In total my order took about 3 months for delivery.
Ordered 23rd November...
Ordered 23rd November...
I ordered 2x40kg dumbbells 23rd November. After chasing 2 of the packages arrived around 70 days in. Still awaiting the remining the final delivery, so with the combination of what's been delivered I can make 1 full dumbbell and another with just 5-9kg which isn't overly helpful. According to Google maps I could walk from my home in the midlands to (lets assume the worst) Wuhan, in 91 days and another 1 to fly home. I'm now on day 98. Hopefully arrives soon, I wanted these for the start of the year, then the start of Feb but still nothing Great dumbbell, would be better if the order was complete though. I don't think DPD are helping matters but nearly 100 days since ordering isn't great and had no response for a week now.
2 x 40kg barbells and stand…
Update to my earlier post - outstanding dumbbell and stand now received. All good, the quality is excellent. I have updated my rating to 4 stars because, for the money, the products are a really good deal. Unfortunately the communications from Gymzo are really bad. If they improved this side of their operation I think there would be far less negative reviews.
Previous post: I ordered 2 x 40kg barbells and stand on the 10th January. Yesterday (25th Feb) one barbell and weight plates were delivered by DPD (two boxes of 4) who like most delivery companies split consignments so you get various parts on different days. DPD tracking indicated delivery is complete, I have seen this before from other delivery companies. I have emailed Harry, no reply as yet.....the communication at first was good but now seems to have collapsed, and the companies reputation is going down the toilet. That’s a shame as the product quality is really good. I’ll be patient and hope the remaining items from my order eventually arrive and maybe Gymzo will get in contact
Be patient
Its been a miniature rollercoaster but the end result was a great product (2 40kg dumbells) for a price much better than the competition and my money went to a small entrepreneurial business in the process.
These guys (or maybe just one guy as its a small start up I believe?) are not great on communication as you may well have read here. They've seemingly lost track of one or two of my emails meaning I had to chase but they did then respond / apologise eventually following a chaser.
My order was late - it was placed on the 14th December and the window for delivery was 30-45 days but it ended up taking more like 60 days to arrive.
- They use a rubbish delivery service in DPD who didn't handle my goods properly resulting in cracked plates.
But you have to have some perspective here.... This is not a large company with a huge operations department. This is the very reason why the prices are able to be so much lower than the competition.
Yes my order being late did frustrate / worry me but even well established companies are seeing similar delays on the border due to brexit. Despite these issues out of their control Gymzo refunded me a small discount and that small gesture of goodwill meant a lot and is the main reason I'm now bothering to write this review.
Yes DPD let one of the 3 boxes get wet and then dropped the weights resulting in cracks. I emailed Gymzo and they have promised to send replacement plates. Another bit of bad luck / hassle for all involved but not their fault.
If you need that peace of mind and the uncertainty reflected in the bad reviews is too much then be prepared to pay double the price or order an inferior product elsewhere.
If you are still waiting for your weights, overdue a response to your email from Gymzo and are generally pissed off I get it & hope this review and others gives you some reassurance.
Product received and very good
Update: products received and very good quality. Understand the delays however the radio silence was cincerning and has reduced the rating. The product is a 5 star item hence updating my review, the service is the other end for the ratings which is unfortunate.

Ordered set of 40kg dumbells December 10th 2020 still not received them. Have sent numerous emails to which I do not get a response to. The last response I got was when I posted on here and was told 'roughly 2 weeks'. We are now pushing on 3 weeks and still no sight or update on when the order will be with me. Gymzo/Harry please get in touch with me.
Need to wait a while
Ordered mine on the 27th of December as a late Christmas present. There not replying to me at all now, I’ve emailed them about cancelling twice now an nothing. Even if it isn’t a scam the poor customer service I’ve received means I will never use this website again. I’m hoping my bank will be able to get the money back for me if they fail do get in touch with me
I have now received my dumbbells, it took almost 70 days. It’s not a scam it just took a lot longer then expected. I’m going to change my 1 star to a 3 star. The 3 star just because of the customer service I received wasn’t great with delayed reply’s
Be patient good product
Update 04March -i today received delivery of two 24 kg adjustable dumbells. The delivery was some 20 days later than originally advised but the product quality is very good . The wait would have been more tolerable if the communication was better but clearly a small company starting out . Relieved and pleased in equal measure .
Poor experience
Edit from my original review -
My order has finally arrived after nearly 90 days after purchase. Ridiculous time to wait but I understand it's been the same for many.
Product wise, it's a good piece of kit. Very easy to set up and works as expected. Although it can be a bit tedious at times attempting to re rack the weight, but that's probably common with adjustable dumbbells. Overall I can't fault the product, hopefully it holds up over time.
Warning on the actual condition of the items on delivery. The dumbell it's self comes in a huge box and is proteced fairly well but the box of plates that accompanies it comes in a small box in some bubble wrap. I've seen multiple people write on their reviews their plates were cracked on delivery and I'm baffled mine weren't too. It looked like the box had been dropped from the top of a building (good old DPD). Think I got lucky in that regard.
Overall a frustrating experience. Regardless of how good the piece of kit is, the communication was very poor on Gymzo's part. Poor Harry may be a one man band and has been taking all the crap from frustrated customers. The delivery time can be understood with Covid and the Brexit delays at the border, but it may have been a good idea to give customers a realistic delivery time and actually explain on the website/product page why a delay is expected.
I received mine today after 65 days I…
I received mine today after 65 days I would have given 5 stars for the product unfortunately its 4 because of the lack of communication otherwise its a great product
No product - Delivery timeline keeps changing
Customer service responded after I left a review here so this is an update.
Ordered x2 40kg dumbbells on the 27th Dec, it’s now Feb 18th, way past the delivery window initially quoted.
Due to the current global circumstances there are delays. I can 100% accept this but it's the fact Gymzo doesn't reach out and expects us to just believe the product will turn up one day that's frustrating. Gymzo should be proactive about informing customers with order updates if the delivery timeline changes otherwise it all feels like a scam.
Hopefully I'll actually receive the products.
Product arrived in 42 days
Product arrived in 42 days, before my 45-60 day period so very happy. Have sent an email about loose cap so will look for your timely response.
