It took longer to arrive than expected. But they kept me updated via emails and were apologetic about the delay. Understandable with everything going on. Product is fantastic!! Very pleased

Pair 40kg dumbbells

I order a pair of 40kg adjustable dumbells at the start of December. They are great and really help my workout.

Only downside is the long delivery time. I ordered in December and just received now in February.

I chased a few times and they were responsive, but more communication would be good. Also, the items came as 3 packages and they all came on different days. It would be useful if they had explained that upfront, so as not to cause a panic.

Overall, great product, but expect a long wait for them.

The replacement plate I requested back in March 2021 never materialised despite me sending several follow-up emails.

Also, as another reviewer has mentioned, one of the plates has fallen out on a couple of occasions. As a result I no longer have faith in these dumbbells and, in the main, they sit on the garage floor gathering dust.

More good news(ish), after 73 days from my initial order, the final bits of my order arrived... in a banged up box.

One of the weight plates arrived damaged though so I've emailed Gymzo again to ask for a replacement.

Should that turn up then I'll provide another update.

Happy to report that, after 59 days of waiting, I've received part of what I ordered. Both dumbbells have arrived but several plates are missing. Also the condition, whilst good, isn't as good as I was hoping or led to believe.

Will provide another update if/when the remainder of my order shows up.

I've tried holding off for as long as possible before resorting to this but figured it could help other potential buyers.

I ordered the 40KG dumbbells on Dec 21st, 2020 and some 51 days later (day of writing this review is Feb 10th, 2021) I've still not received my order.

Like others, I've had my DPD tracking number that isn't recognised by DPD and, also like others, I've contacted Gymzo Support and had responses from Harry at the Customer Care Team.

First email got a reply asking me to wait the full 35-50 day delivery period. Second email (after I got my DPD tracking number) said that the tracking information only shows about 3 days before delivery. Also suggested that they had contacted their forwarder for an update and will let me know what they say once they get a response, and to allow 48 hours for them to respond - that update was never received. Third email has yet to get any response.

Seeing the positive reviews on Trust Pilot gave me hope but the lack of response and still no item, the cynic in me is suspecting some dodgy is afoot.

That said, I see one "review" said they waited 90 days so maybe there is hope or maybe it's just another bogus review that's meant to throw people off and have them believe they'll need to wait that extended period of time.

Should my items eventually turn up then I'll amend this review accordingly with accurate details of my wait time.

In the meantime I'll be in touch with my credit card company to monitor the situation and issue a chargeback if necessary.

Ordered on 15 Dec - dumbbells still haven't arrived (57 days later) and getting no response from the vendor to my emails

UPDATE. So the dumbbells finally arrived today. Unfortunately damaged thanks to DPD. Awaiting an email from Gymzo about a replacement. They seems very good otherwise.

Ordered 40kg pair of dumbbells on 19th December. Now been waiting 53 days. Prior to order I was told 'guranteed delivery in 35-45 days, but usually sooner'
I’ve emailed - apprently they were lost in spam. Took a poor review to get a response and some minor compensation. Told to expect delivery in 2-3 weeks on 1st Feb. That would have been 64 days. Just been told it will be another 2-3 weeks from now.

The 40kg dumbells are very good quality. The price was very reasonable. I was a bit uncomfortable when I brought these dumbells because it took 90 days to come and the tracking number given to me by gymzo didn't work. Also gymzo stopped replying to my emails when i kept complaining about not getting my dumbells in time. I even contacted my bank in order to get my money back. But now after receiving my dumbells I can proudly say that the gymzo is a not a scam its a legitimate company.
Despite the long delay it was definitely worth the wait. The delay could have been due to covid and brexit. I immediately told the bank to release the funds after I received my dumbells. To the people who have given gymzo a low review. you guys just need to be patient. The dumbells will definitely come

My order arrived today in 4 packages 5 days late. Would give 4 stars but quality is way better than even expected so 5 stars it is!! The stand is made of very thick metal and easily holds my 40 Kg set.

Recieved 2 24Kg packages few days ago and after using I can say I am totally satisfied. Just like to thank the customer care team for answering all my worries. Ordering from a new company such as yours can sometimes be a risk but I'm glad I did. I've placed a preorder for the stand as they are heavier than I expected plus they look a bit lonely on the floor! Thanks again.

Updating my rather negative review after the weights finally arrived. I ordered 2 x 40kg on the 13th of December. The weights arrived yesterday, 26th February. I must admit, I really thought this must be a scam; a DPD reference that doesn't work until a few days before arrival is useless and unsettling. Guidance of 35-45 days delivery is misleading. The communications, whilst reasonably responsive, are vague and seem evasive. Much more transparent communications would help.

Anyway the dumbells arrived and they are great. Good quality, exactly as described, but I'm as relieved as I am pleased.

Do yourselves a favour Gymzo, get the logistics and tracking information sorted out. You're really onto a good thing product-wise!

Gr8 product well worth the wait, my 40kg dumbbell are an gr8 addition to my personal training gym, also Harry from the gymzo support team was brilliant.

UPDATE - BALANCE RECEIVED!

Finally the missing plates have been delivered, although the packaging they arrived in was absolutely battered and one of the larger plates is damaged. I would usually raise this with CS but seeing how this company has no CS department it's probably not worth bothering with at all. Product is good and for the money paid much cheaper than it's competitors. It's just a shame that it is let down by poor aftersales service and way overdue delivery.
This had the potential to be a good review but serious lack of attention and care to its customers has let this business down... Maximum 2 stars!

UPDATE - Back to 1 star rating
Back to being a 1 star review as fed up of emails being unanswered. Partial delivery received but I only have the one DB complete and a 3rd package of plates missing. Was advised that this would be looked in to and chased up but this was last week and no responses to emails since. Chased DPD myself and advised only the sender can raise a case. Was hoping they'd be back up and running by now but yet again their website is still closed. Originally 1st, then 15th, 22nd and 25th... Zero confidence whether this company is still operating and will have to instruct my bank to reclaim my funds.
Sick of this company now!
Already advised one friend to steer clear!

Hallelujah, It's not a scam!

Pleased to advise that 2 boxes received an hour ago, one box of plates still to be delivered though!... Total LT 64 days, so these are 19 days later than originally quoted.

If this review was purely based on price and quality of the product, I'd give this a 5 star rating... However, delivery and communication have to be taken in to consideration which in my case was poor and needs working on.
Yes I know there are mitigating circumstances with Covid and Brexit, but this is the responsibility of the vendor to keep on top of this and inform their customers. It should not take the customer to chase first. It was good that this was acknowledged by Harry and a GOGW was offered in form of compensation.

Would I recommend Gymzo to any friends or family?... If it was based purely on price then yes, but with a degree of caution. If price was of no issue, then I'd probably tell them to save themselves the unwanted stress and buy elsewhere.

Product is taking a little longer than it should
Because of this pandemic which is understandable but they are keeping me updated

Received my 40Kg Dumbells today. Ordered at the end of November. So they were a little delayed, but this is understandable considering the delays at the courier because of Brexit. However they are certainly worth the wait! Quality product!

Got my order today. Ordered 40Kg with the stand and really pleased with the overall quality and service. Understood delays were inevitable and was assured through the process so overall very happy and will return again.

I ordered 40 KG dumbbells on 28/11/20 paid in full. I chased several times eventually arrived with no explanation as to extensive delay on 30/01/21. They are incomplete. 6 plates missing.

I ordered the 40kg dumbbells and they're fantastic! Having to not worry about tedious spin locks and changing weight plates is liberating. Saves so much space as well, all for such an affordable price :)

Have to say that the delivery takes a proper long time ( around 55 days for me). It makes all the more worth it when they do arrive!
