Very surprising first lesson on better preparing your mind to start the (long) and scary path of cybersecurity

My Experience with Hack The Box.
I believe HTB has focused a lot on how to make the content relatable and that's why we see a lot of examples which we can relate to in day to day life. It makes things not just easier to understand but also helps in remembering them. I am subscribed to the silver annual and I don't regret it one bit. It will be exciting to see how HTB evolves in the future especially since it's acquiring other companies and integrating them in the experience.
The support is active and quick, I found a typo and raised a ticket, it was fixed within 2 days. Other than that, the community is active and helping, especially on discord.

This and thm are the only resources I fully trust about cybersecurity online. The explanations are amazing and detailed and the labs are fun. It's a bit expensive but totally worth it! If you're into cybersec definitely check this out. Thanks guys!

Hello, i just started the hack the box journey recently from last week and the experience was the best the labs are designed in the way of the real world scenario and gain so much knowledge form the labs. I had also used THM but the labs from them did not allow us to think out of the box and do anything but at HTB, have the best labs.

Hack The Box is hands down one of the best platforms I've ever used. As someone who’s always striving to grow in cybersecurity, it has been a game-changer for me. First of all, I'm happy to be on the platform and spend some free time learning more. I recall the early days when it was launched with high-quality content. Looking at it now, you guys improved it a lot. Can't skip and not to mention growing community - it's incredible. And yes, support - it's beautiful and simply amazing. Keep going, you rock.

Best of the best, one of the things I am going take to the grave is that hack the box engineered my brain to think outside the box like a hacker. It is underestimated to make your student relearn how they used to learn and get them in the right mindset.

I was curious to see which kind of things this site offers. However, I am stucked at the tutorial for the sole reason that I need to use a command on bash with the instance, but because I didn't see the question first, I already closed the instance. Having only the ability to open one instance a day, I can't go on in this tutorial. This website does not even allow you to see what it has to offer. The pricing is demential. Filthy.

Great platform for practicing in cybersecurity for both offensive and defensive, challenging labs are the fun part here.

A very comprehensive, detailed, and instructive experience.

The main problem is that the answers to the test questions are so inflexible that some questions becomes very confusing. An example could be:

"Both IDS and IPS solutions analyze network packets and compare them to known attack signatures or typical traffic patterns. This process involves" - the question here may be "What analyze a network packet and compare them to known attack signatures?" Your answer may be IDS and IPS, but the answer may be IDS & IPS or IDS, IPS or IPS and IDS but non of those will be accepted although all correct.

The problem then becomes that you move away from the correct answer because you think its wrong and by the time you get the right answer its guess work because you got sniped by a missing comma hence no learning is really sticking.

So many questions in their tests requires very specific answers that obviously can be answered in variation. Often you will find yourself wasting time finding the 1-1 correct wording because it lacks flexibility.
