HairPalace Hair Transplant Clinic Reviews 

I might be in a useful position to offer a review as, about 5 years ago, I had a transplant procedure here in the UK and so can offer a comparison between the procedure and experience here (which was excellent, by the way) and that I experienced with HairPalace. In short, the overall experience, treatment and care, from the HairPalace were, in my opinion, at least as good, if not slightly better, than the UK experience. I selected HairPalace on the basis of extensive internet research and the experience of a relative who had been for two procedures with them and I could see the results for myself. From booking the first consultation here in the UK, to pre-travel advice, the experience and procedure in Hungary and the subsequent after-care, the experience was first class. The accommodation in which you stay is very new and clean, if functional. The clinic itself is modern, impressive and spotlessly clean. The staff ratio is at least on a par with UK standards and may have been slightly better. The treatment and procedure itself was identical to the UK. For those concerned about pain, the injections are uncomfortable for a fraction of a second - and then you don't feel anything for the remainder of the procedure. And for those with a needle phobia, it is actually the lidnocaine, rather than the needle, which causes the sensation of discomfort. I had been assessed as needing 4,000 grafts during consultation. When the procedure commenced the Dr advised me that she would try to achieve 4,000, but had to ensure that the donor sites could support this number and I would end up with the most natural and positive result. In the end, she advised me that she could only harvest 3,000. Whilst this was a little disappointing - the key point here is that rather than "over-promise" and "over-harvest", the Dr was focused on the best and most natural outcome. I think this is a very positive hallmark of their approach. All the staff (and people I met elsewhere in Budapest) were extremely friendly and helpful. Two weeks on, the results look very good - time will tell, but so far, so good. As many others comment - "I just wish I'd had it done a few years earlier". And in terms of cost? About 20% of the cost of the earlier UK procedure. And although the procedure took virtually the same time as for 3,000 v 4,000 gratfs, so the staff were there all day and clinic in use all day for me - they refunded the cost difference for the 1,000 grafts without the issue even being raised. Overall, extremely professional set-up and people, for a fraction of the price you'd pay here. If I had enough donor-hair left for a third procedure(!) - I'd be going back to HairPalace without a doubt.

I had my hair transplant on the 14th of March 2020, and couldn't be happier so far! I've been having a receding hairline for a few years, and I've been on the fence with this decision for a while.

Ultimately, I became increasingly more concerned about my receding hairline and loss of density, so I did a lot of research before deciding on having a transplant.

I stumbled upon Hair Palace due to the great reviews and affordable price, and I'm sure happy that I did!

Everything I've been reading about their clinic has been true, and I'm truly impressed by the procedure so far. The staff was informative, always available, and make you feel comfortable with your decision to get a transplant.

The intervention took about 6 hours in total, which includes a lunch break, talking to a doctor about what you want to accomplish with the transplant, deciding on a hairline, and preparing for the transplant.

The doctor Csilla Kelemen and the interpreter Barbara were both very welcoming and extremely professional, and I couldn't recommend them more. Thank you both!

I was due to have 3000 hairs transplanted, but ended up having 3144 hairs and hadn't had to pay anything extra for the 144 hairs.

The food options were really good (hungarian food, italian, burgers, etc) and they have a great selection of movies to choose from while you're having the transplant. It definitely felt quicker than it actually was, and they take such a good care of you!

I've just finished my transplant, so it's too early to talk about the final result. But the density and direction of hair look natural and if everything goes well, I'm hopeful that the results will be great.

I'll post another update once I'm 6 months or so into it.

I went to hair palace last January after hearing great reviews from people who had positive experiences there and great results. My experience was no different . There were professionals and we'll organise and very nice people !!. I had great results from transplant and that's why I went back there for my second one. Very happy and I would definitely recommend !!.

It is a proper run hair institute. I liked the entire staff of the clinic, they were helpful in any possible way and very attentive the patients asks. The entire treatment was thoroughly guided and explained. The doctor in charge of the treatment was professional and empathetic. The support stuff did an amazing job as well. Well done!

These guys are amazing! Just had my 2nd hair transplant with these guys (this time was the crown, I got my front done at my 1st op). The results I got from my 1st op were amazing. The pick up from the airport is easy, the flat you stay in is great, loads of choices for food and movies during the operation. Ive done a lot of research on FUE , and you wont find a cheaper clinic that provides such amazing results.

After thinking about having a Hair Transplant for a while I can safely Say Hairpalace have been so professional and always willing to answer any quires I had. I’ve just returned home from Budapest after having my surgery and Where all of the Hairpalace staff and surgeons were amazing from start to finish, i would highly recommend them to anyone who is thinking about having a Hair transplant.

Great experience from start to the finish. Doctor was very helpful and it was 99% pain free, apart from first few injections after a few seconds they you feel nothing. I would recommend to anyone interested. I was sceptical at first but there was no need to be from start to finish is was very smooth. I just can’t wait to see the results in 6 month. I’ll definitely return next few year to have more treatment..

I had a 5000 follicle hair transplant at the Hair Palace in Budapest in January 2019 and couldn't be happier with the results. The entire process from start to finish was highly professional, informative, and exceeded my expectations. The results started to show after about 6 months, as I had been told to expect, and now 13 months after the procedure my hairline is noticeably much fuller. I would highly recommend Hair Palace to anyone thinking about getting a hair transplant.

Excellent service from Hair Palace from my first consultation to coming home after surgery. Doctors were brilliant and made me feel very welcome and comfortable during my stay. Food provided at Hair Palace was lovely. Apartment they provide was of a very high standard. Procedure was pretty much pain free apart from the numbing injections but was just like the dentist local anaesthetic. I arrived yesterday in Budapest airport and was picked up immediately by their taxi driver who was very friendly and drove me directly to their premium apartment, which was very clean and comfortable.

The staff was very friendly, especially the dedicated translator and doctor, who guided me towards determining the final hairline. I was given a meal of my own choice during the lunch break of superb quality.

Overall I can only recommend HairPalace to anyone thinking about getting a hair transplant. They really made the process smooth and without pain. I am looking forward to see the final result in 6-12 months!

A very welcoming and professional experience was had at Hair Palace.
Everything ran smoothly. We were met at the airport by a driver, as transfers were provided and then taken to the apartment where my wife and I stayed. I must add that this was very clean and very comfortable.
The transplant went very well, with no pain except for the initial injections which were slightly uncomfortable. The staff were very professional and very honest, giving a good clear understanding of what they expected to achieve for my individual self. In otherwords, I didnt feel I was misled in anyway. Good clear detailed instructions for after care were given on leaving.
You are very relax while they extract from the donor area and whilst they implant the hair follicles, you are able to watch a film of your choice.
A good substantial two course meal was also provided on both days.
I would highly recommend Hair Palace and look forward to the seeing the results that they have achieved.

Excellent Clinic, I just had my transplant completed a day ago. Very early stages but my experience was excellent from the collection at airport, the clean apparment, to the procedure it's self.
Dr Erika Gucsi was my surgeon and was very professional could not recommend her highly enough. She was able to provide the best advise for the most natural hair line. I had no pain really during the surgery at all. The needles for the anaesthetic were a little uncomfortable for the first few injections and then as your head begins to numb you can't really feel anything. I fell asleep a few times I was so relaxed. The instructions to follow post op were clearly explained and are provided to you to take home. I will definitely be recommending this clinic to my friends...

I have just come back from my first hair transplant at Hair Palace. This review will be regarding the experience and process, i'll provide another update on the success of the transplant in 12 months.

I started thinking about a hair transplant about a year ago now. I have a bald patch on my crown (which I had treated on this particular visit) and am also receding. I reached out to HP based on a lot of research and reading through a lot of reviews on various platforms. I took some photos of my head and was provided with two quotes, one for the crown area and the other for my receding areas, only one area could be treated on my first visit due to the number of hairs taken from the donor area, so I selected the crown first and was given a quote for 4000 hairs. I then booked the flights which you are required to do in order to confirm your commitment to the intervention and waited for the date to come around. The communication during this initial process is excellent, HP are so prompt and helpful with their emails and call you to see if you have questions and to support you prior to heading out.

On arrival at Budapest Airport you are met by one of the HP drivers, they have a couple of them and both are very friendly and helpful. I was driven to my apartment, the accommodation is part of the package cost and is very clean and suitable for a comfortable short stay. You have a microwave, fridge, oven and electric cooker as well as cutlery and utensils. They provide fresh towels as well and the bathroom and toilet are very modern and clean. They provide food services to order from online and there is a shopping centre around the corner which is a 5-10 minute walk, plus a small convenience store literally 30 seconds around the corner. It is also about an hour's walk to the main area for restaurants, shops and bars etc or a 10-15 minute taxi.

The duration of my stay was 3 days, day one I had to myself to explore Budapest, day 2 was the day of my blood test which I opted to have done in Budapest at one of the HP partner clinics. The driver collected me and took me to the clinic which was about 20 minutes away and then drove me back to the apartment. I then spent another day out and about in Budapest. Day 3 was the day of my intervention. It's about a 15 minute walk to Hair Palace from the apartment and on arrival was greeted by a delightful young lady called Maya who was my co-ordinator/interpreter for the day. She was very friendly and put me at ease straight away answering any questions that I had but also explaining the process step by step. I started by getting changed into surgical attire in my little privacy cubicle, a HP t shirt, scrubs like trousers and some slippers and was lead into the surgical room for the first part of the process which is taking the hairs from the donor area. This procedure took around 2 and a half hours and during it I was lying face down on a massage type table. There are several injections into the back of the donor area to numb the pain, this is a little unpleasant but from there the process is painless. Afterwards I had lunch, they provide 5 different menus and I found the food to be very nice. It was then time for my hairs to be implanted into the recipient area. During this part of the procedure you are sitting in a chair and are given a list of movies to choose from and watch whilst being treated. More injections were required into the top of the head, again a little unpleasant but not a big issue and then again the process is relatively painless. I say relatively as towards the end I think the anaesthetic was wearing off a little and I started to feel a little more, again not a big issue though, the pain was the equivalent of a tattoo. This part took about 3 hours and then I was done.

The doctor and the team of assistants are all so professional, so friendly and very patient. After the procedure I was taken back to my cubicle and had a consultation with the doctor where forms are signed and instructions for aftercare clearly explained. Any questions that I have had since have been promptly answered by email, they really are excellent with their communications and I am now healing well 4 days later.

I look forward to seeing the progress of my procedure over the next few months and then the final results in about 12 months time.

I first considered a hair transplant about a year before the surgery. With an inherent nervousness about any type of invasive surgery I was unsure if it was the route I wanted to take. I began to do a lot of research and discovered that there were all sorts of forums and discussions and Hair Palace came up frequently, so I decided to further research Hair Palace and one or two others. I was pleased to see that free consultations were offered in London so I booked one and went along. At that time I was using Regaine which had shown some improvement but didn’t feel like a permanent solution. The consultation was in central London, easy to get to and well organised. I felt like I was given the necessary time to ask questions and explore it further as an option with no obligation. I went away and 5 or 6 months later, having stopped using Regaine and noticed an escalation in the thinning, I booked a second free consultation. This one was even better. As before there was a co-ordinator and a doctor there and they assessed my hair loss. This time though, they brought an electronic microscope which was plugged into a screen that I could see to show the different areas around my head. They also explained more about the science behind hair loss and the success of the treatment. Again I felt no obligation to book with them, but I instantly made up my mind that I would. They offer incentives if you book within a certain amount of time after your consultation so I decided to make the most of those.

I contacted my co-ordinator with a strict time frame and he explained that they would be able to find dates to suit me and so they did and it was booked. The booking process was easy and there was constant assistance available at every step of the way. No money changes hands until you are at the clinic on the first day of the procedure. They organised transfers from the airport to the hotel and I also chose to have my blood test done in Budapest too, so the necessary extra days were tagged on and accommodated. Transfers to the blood test lab were arranged and that whole process from leaving the hotel to returning was just an hour leaving the whole day to explore the city. The next day I had the first day of my two day procedure. I believe that they will transplant up to 6000 follicles and the assessment was that I needed around 5000. Any more than 4000 tips you from a one day procedure to two days.

I was met at the clinic with a bright and professional co-ordinator called Marianna who was there throughout my two days. She was clear, warm and very supportive. I disclosed that I was nervous and she did all she could to reassure me. I noticed that the clinic is clean and tidy and I’m given a cordoned off area with seats and a locker to get changed, go through paperwork, have a pre-surgical consultation with the doctor and take the necessary medication. My head was shaved leaving my hair at about 1-2mm in length and then I was guided to the surgery room where the procedure began. First it’s anesthetic shots to numb the donor area, there are quite a few of these and I was lying facedown in a massage-style bed. My doctor, Erika Gucsi was excellent explained everything to me as it was happening and was extremely swift with the anesthetic shots. Once the area is numbed the extraction begins and the medication had set in to relax me, so I actually found myself falling asleep during the procedure. After a few hours we broke for lunch. I was invited to look at my hair follicles if I wanted to. They were each being cleaned and counted individually. I headed off back to my cordoned off area for lunch. The selection is wide and the quality of the food is ok. Fairly basic. Then we were off to the afternoon session and again I was guided through very professionally and with any questions I had being answered in full as we went.

The accommodation was comfortable enough, although the room could have been slightly larger, as there were other larger rooms available on the same floor of the hotel. It was clean and tidy and close to decent food options and round the corner from the clinic.

The second day was much the same. I had a different doctor (which I’d been told would be the case the day before), Ljuba Zsolnai who’s process was slightly different but equally as efficient and informative. Both days the procedure is over by about 4pm. Very clear instructions are given about what not to eat/drink before each day and then all the aftercare is explained and handed over in charts. There is a requirement to take and send photos throughout the recovery process but the option to have free consultations with a doctor to check progress in London is also available at various junctures which is a great option. I felt supported and that everything was exactly I had been explained and described to me beforehand. The staff are exceptionally patient and I even met people who were going back for a second time to service a different area of their head, which was the best example of customer satisfaction that I could have imagined. I’m now looking forward to the results which should begin to be noticeable by month 4 but should be fully visible from months 12-15. I couldn’t recommend Hair Palace more highly.
