Replacement wheel
Having broken a wheel on a small filing cabinet I contacted the company for a replacement and was delighted to receive one, plus screws, promptly and at no charge - excellent customer service.
EXTREMELY UNRELIABLE & UNPROFESSIONAL
This has been the most appalling and unprofessional service we have ever experienced with a furniture company. Our company paid for next delivery. Initially (on the next day) there was no contact from the company. By 12.30pm, as we had not heard anything from them, we contacted them. They said they would need to look into it and would call back in 5 minutes. We waited patiently for over 1 hour. Having heard nothing from them despite their assurance to the contrary, and it now approaching 2pm and the close of business looming, we called them again - only to be told that they were 'on hold' and trying to reach the courier. We then tried to call the courier and, after repeated attempts, we were told that the delivery was going to take place between 2pm and 4pm. So we waited. Nothing was delivered. So we called back just after 4pm. They said they would call the courier and we would receive a call back. By 4.30pm we had received no call backs so we called again. Eventually we were advised that the courier refused to deliver the furniture due to them feeling uncomfortable about the access restrictions on the surrounding roads.
We assured them that we had checked with the City Council and they still would not listen. We offered for the item to be delivered to another local address with easier access. They refused. Then they said they were going to be late for their next delivery so the delivery would not happen that day (Thursday).
The next day (Friday) we called Hallways (no-one had taken the time to call us...again). We were advised that the item could not be delivered that day but would be guaranteed to happen by 10am on Monday of the following week (so much for having paid a premium for 'next day delivery'). We waited patiently until 1pm on Monday. When nothing had turned up, we called Hallways again. They said they would look into it and call back. We received no call back so called again and was told to expect the delivery between 3pm and 4pm on the Monday. Nothing came that afternoon either. When we called back, we were advised that the courier would call us - they did not. So Monday came and went. We were finally advised that the delivery would be rescheduled to Tuesday morning before 10am.
At a few minutes to 10am on Tuesday, we received a call from Hallways to say they could not trace the furniture (it was lost!). By this stage we said 'enough is enough'. If we could not be given a clear answer by 10.30am, please refund us in full by the close of business that day. They agreed. At 10.28am we received a call back to say they still could not trace the item so agreed to refund us in full.
We now wait with trepidation to see whether they would honour the refund by the close of business.
Frankly, we have never seen such a lack of professionalism, poor communication and terrible co-ordination.
Hallways use 'Chase Freight' to manage their deliveries. Chase Freight, in turn, use 'Burns Express' to DO the delivery. What an utter shambles.
Our advice? DO NOT GO NEAR THEM. We certainly won't be going back to them.

Shockingly Poor Customer Service.
Shockingly Poor Customer Service.
I ordered my desk for a particular shaped room so I specifically required a right hand desk, not left. A left handed desk was delivered by mistake. I'm a reasonable man, mistakes happen. I asked if the correct desk could be redelivered before 8am as I had meetings in central london all week, which they obliged. This is where the service went drastically downhill. The first delivery man was polite and friendly and offered to help me carry the desk to the room it was to be put in. The second delivery driver turned up at the crack of dawn and was SHOUTING in my house. He did not offer to help with my desk so I asked if he would mind, still shouting in my house at 7 in the morning, "we aint supposed to, if there's any damage it aint my fault" and he carried on shouting all the way up the stairs. I then said "mate, this is a shared house and people are still asleep, would you mind keeping your voice down please?" to which he responded "that aint my problem mate, you asked me to help you." as if that was justification for shouting?! After proceeding back down the stairs, he threw the receipt in my face and said "thats yours" then slammed the front door behind him. I opened the door to call after him and said "you need to check your attitude mate" to which he responded "I aint the one with a problem, dont take you s**t out on me, I'm just a delivery driver."
I have never in my life experienced such naive and appalling treatment AS A PAYING CUSTOMER having just spent £800 on a desk! This individual has really done the company a disservice. When I phone up to complain, the same individual had put in a complaint against ME to cover himself, saying I assaulted him! I have honestly never been so angry. Nothing will come of this and the moron will keep his job, I can only advise you DON'T make any purchases from this company, as you're at risk of false accusations when they provide poor service.

National Office Furniture Supplies
I ordered and paid for an executive desk, filing cabinet and mobile 3 drawer cabinet and was quoted a date for delivery. Low and behold I had a telephone call the day before asking if I would like it delivered early.
The driver was very happy in his work and very helpful and carried the units in for us without hesitation, more than other companies will do,
When we opened the furniture we found the desk easy to assemble and the quality of the product excellent. Would recommend this company and will use them again. First class service.
