Literally $9.99 if you don’t use phone, but you can use unlimited text. I usually use text and don’t call or receive cellphone to talk. Occasionally, I use cellphone; it costs 0.27/min. Excellent Customer Care. Japan SIM card just arrived yesterday and installed it, President Ms.Yoshida emailed me often times to up date a progress, and make sure if I received SIM card. I have not used it yet, but I am sure it works well. Thank you Hanacell!

It's cheap and stable.

Hanacell is a great service for Japanese people. It’s easy to contract and Japanese staff is very kind even if you have a trouble. It’s also a good point that we can use this service no extra fee in Japan and a lot of countries.

The explaination on their website is easy to undrestand. Very convinient since I received SIM at home in Japan and was able to start using SIM at the airport.

I used to use Softbank’s アメリカ放題, but I had problems with Sprint carrier and with going back and forth Japan and the U.S.
Also, I travel a lot, so I wanted a carrier that covers wide range of countries.
Then I found HanaCell. My Japanese friends in the U.S. were using this and found it really convenient.
I will be going to several countries this year and will be moving to Ghana next year, so I think HanaCell really covers my service needs.

It's so cheap compared to other services provided both in Japan and in the U.S.
I'm also happy by getting enough support in Japanese.

It will be my 1 year anniversary using Hana Cell this year. First I used $49 plan and most recently upgraded to their new plan $59. X3 times more capacity so, I hope I don't see memory issues that I had before. Need more phone variation for Android would nice!
