Amazing training with the wonderful Sammie at Happy Hearts First Aid. We're first time parents and wanted to learn some basic first aid training in case of a medical emergency with our little one - and we couldn't have picked a better trainer to do it with.

Sammie covered so much in the space of two hours - but without the information being overwhelming or difficult to digest. Everything was succinct, engaging and delivered in bite sized chunks.

From a logistics point of view, Sammie was incredibly supportive and accommodating when we caught COVID and had to reschedule. We were then able to take our son with us to the session when we rebooked after he was born.

I would very much recommend any parent take this course if you want to feel confident about basic first aid training that ultimately one day might help save a life.

Sammy provides such valuable training on child first aid and we have completed two sessions with her just before the birth of each of our sons. She is friendly, personable, professional and really knows her stuff. I would recommend her services to anyone wanting to brush up on the skills, especially as a parent when accidents seem to happen quite frequently.

As a somewhat 'older person' I was a bit apprehensive about having to use my brain seriously in the evening and having to recall facts during the session or pass some sort of 'test', but the session was not like that at all as Sammy did most of the talking and never put anyone on the spot! So, as a new grandparent, I'm really glad I made the effort to go to this course.

This was my first infant first aid class, and I thought it was very informative and engaging! Sammy was able to pack in a lot of important information in just two hours. This course was very appealing to me as well since she covered febrile seizures. My son unfortunately has had a couple in the past, so this course will be great for his grandparents and babysitters to take as well.

Sammy was so engaging and made learning such important methods easier to understand and also being able to practice on Bruce & Sheila (the dummy’s) too was so helpful 😊
Great fun and reassuring to have some knowledge in the case of an awful situation which we all hope never happens!

Sammy was fantastic. She was very clear, gentle and concise in her delivery. Walking us through the use of defoliators was very confidence building for me personally. Using a defoliator had really worried me previously. Sammy took her time to answer all the questions we had and was very sensitive to any past emergencies experienced. I would highly recommend Sammy to anyone looking to learn CPR and basic but vital first aid.

Sammy is amazing and guides you through these serious scenarios in a gentle but clear and precise way. I highly recommend this course.

Perfect in every way. My son and I were the only men in the room that evening for the child and baby first aid course. SO pleased we joined and now feel better equipped to deal with the unexpected for young and adults. Sammy is exceptional in the way she engaged us all.

Sammy recently delivered a Baby & Child First Aid course at home. As new parents and grandparents the course equipped us with the skills and confidence to handle a whole range of scenarios and emergencies. Sammy was an excellent teacher with a whole wealth of knowledge and able to answer any questions we threw at her. I would highly recommend this course to any new parents out there.

This course is an absolute must for any new parents/soon to be parents and Sammy was an incredible facilitator. She made the session really engaging and the all content easy to digest and remember. Walking into the class I felt I would be panicked if any kind of emergency/first aid situation was to arise but leaving the course I now feel a lot calmer and able to handle it if anything was to arise. Highly recommend!

Sammy ran a private session at our home for our NCT group. The session was really informative and we covered lots of topics. It was very interactive and I think that helps to make the information memorable. Sammy definitely helped build all our confidence and provided lots of reassurance. I would highly recommend this course to any new parents.

The session about choking was so useful and very informative for the mums @cafemamaslough . Sammy is very professional, answers any questions to make sure mums are more confident now when it comes to weaning your child and risk of choking . The bonus is we could all have a go on the different mannequin. Really important life skills to learn .

A very useful session which covered all the topics we had thought of - and more. We got the impression that the session would have been more interactive and hands on if Covid wasn't around, but it was still very helpful and there was a chance to practice first aid techniques. Sammy is a friendly and engaging tutor who clearly knows her stuff.

This was a great course and has given me more confidence. Sammy covered all the important topics and kept the class engaging, even over zoom.

We had a private session at home for us and grandparents providing childcare. It was really informative and helpful. We covered cpr, burns, head injuries, choking, meningitis you hope you never need the skills but as new parents gives you peace of mind! Sammy very friendly and knowledgeable would definitely recommend.

Great session with Sammy! The first aid for newborns was priceless as we now know what we need to do which is very comforting with a 3 week old in the house. Easy to remember acronyms and covers a wide list of first aid scenarios. Highly recommend.

I fully recommend Sammy for any type of First Aid training. She ran through a number of situations with our scout troop, adapting her language and delivery for a range of students. Sammy was engaging and kept them occupied throughout, not perturbed by their questioning. The scouts all loved learning about CPR amongst other techniques and it was great seeing them fully engaged.

Sammy was very engaging and coped well with the distractions inevitable when teaching with babies present.
She was knowledgeable and provided opportunities to practice the routines she taught. She was able to capably answer adhoc questions and used her own experience to supplement the theory.
