Not delivered and refusing refund.

Company website on posting states to expect delays due to postal strikes...there are no postal strikes. Tracking number not recognised by royal mail. No attempts at delivery. Company is refusing to provide a refund. Or any details about the "attempted delivery". Now claiming I need to submit a claim with royal mail which contradicts consumer rights law. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Now thats not exactly true is it? I believe that you took your case to the bank, and submitted a charge back request, we submitted our evidence to the bank, You lost and the bank refused a refund too.

Have purchased from them 3 times and every time the service was good! products as described and received within a few days. I am happy with my all purchases. they are a reliable company :)

No Product Received. No Customer Service.

Over a month has passed and the product was not delivered. I called their customer service number 4 times, no one picked up. I emailed their customer service email 4 times and no one has responded. And their website is still up and running!

Excellent service and quality

Ordered my kefir milk grains Tuesday night, received them by Thursday morning, had my first brew by Friday evening and I'm not even throwing the first batch away as it is delicious! Very healthy, quality grains. An excellent company

Brilliant Customer Service & Products

I'm so glad that I started my fermenting journey with Happy Kombucha. Everything arrived well packaged and all the ferments I tried worked as instructed. When unsure, I simply gave them a call and a friendly and knowledgeable person answered my fermentation questions in a reassuring manner. Repeat customer already and definitely recommend.

I won’t buy from these again

I won’t buy from these again, unless they contact me. I sent an email and it’s been 11 days and no answer, I sent another one and still they didn’t reply back to me. I bought white tea and I got black tea, not what their picture shows isn’t what I got. I asked some questions on home brewing and bought from them and they still didn’t reply. I think it’s disgusting that in this day of age they haven’t replied back to my email and not what you want to be doing with customers that would have come back time after time but I won’t now unless they contact me this Thursdays. I will try to ring them again but I am always working, you don’t treat people like this. Come on I have followed you guys and read all your info and got excited about Kombucha and then you ignore me for 11 days. Yeah I understood 3 to 4 days but taking the pi&& out of me now!

The only saving grace is your scobys are amazing 🙏 but 1 star for ignoring your customer and also for showing white tea image and then what you get looks like black tea. Emailed a second time asking questions and you have ignored me on both occasions. I understand if you extremely busy but at least communicate with the people that are keeping you in business.

Despite the travails with our postal…

Despite the travails with our postal service, I received my fresh Kefir grains much quicker than expected.
They were securely packaged, and the detailed instructions included were invaluable.
Within 48 hours I had my first batch of Kefir, and as promised, it has improved with each subsequent fermentation.
I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this company, and will be more than happy to buy their products in the future.

Excellent customer service

Excellent customer service. The kefir grains were easy to use thanks to the instructions that came with them. I had started off with dried kefir grains but the difference with the fresh grains is amazing. So much smoother and creamier.

Repeat satisfied customer

I really don't get these bad reviews. I have used happy kombucha several times over 2 years. I have always found both the quality of their products and customer service to be excellent. Yet again I placed an order, and yet again I had lots of questions beforehand, the member of staff who answered my call yesterday was polite, courteous and very knowledgeable. I have so many products I want to try so I'll definitely be ordering again in the future. Thank you for all your help.

Thank you for your review, we have reviewed our records and the owner does not seem to have been taking phone calls for several months (they have had an operation on their mouth) and no one on our phone team has any recollection of your call. We were also curious as to how you knew that you were talking to the owner as after reviewing an awful lot of phone calls we cant find any that were negative or where the person on the phone refers to themselves as the owner (and we have gone back quite a while) We also can't find any emails from you or a recent order? You also do not seem to have left a review of us on our official review site feefo even though we would have sent you emails asking for one but have taken the trouble to search us out here (which allows anyone to review)
We have asked truspilot to provide us with your order details as we cannot find any details of a purchase or any form of contact in fact we cannot find any evidence that you have contacted us or purchased from us ever. Are you sure you are not a friend (or related account) to the reviewer below? Seems a bit strange that you have left the review the day the bank took the money they obtained fraudulently back from them? They did threaten to get anyone they knew to leave a negative review on here.

Leave a bad review and get reported to the police

I emailed this company several times querying delivery of my order. All I got was a reply from a bot telling me it could be up to 5 days before I get a response to my email. Several days later in shear frustration at only getting an automated reply from a bot I emailed them again inquiring about my delivery and telling them if I did not get a reply I would be forced to leave a poor review of their company online. The company themselves sent me a link to review them before I even got the product. As I had been so frustrated at their lack of response to my emails, I left a one star review. Now the company have stated that they have reported me to the police for blackmail and threats. Ask yourself ...do you really want to get involved with a company that behaves like this. If you look down at other unhappy reviewers you will see this company seem to regularly make charges that customers have resorted to blackmail and threats. I would think that this is extremely unlikely. It is definitely not true in my case. These are extremely serious liabelous charges to be making against customers that are not backed up by evidence and illustrate the type of people we are dealing with...a company where the customer is definitely not a priority....a company who will go to the police with bogus allegations quicker than getting your order out or replying to an email.

The response by HappyKambucha below is enough to show you to steer well clear of them...I don't have to add anything. They have done a perfect job of destroying themselves and proving everything I said was true.

P.S. Trustpilot is one of the few honest and trustworthy review sites out there prepared to publish the good reviews with the bad so the customer can see the truth. Any queried reviews are investigated. Trustpilot asked for evidence of my side of the story when HappyKambucha flagged my review. I provided same. Obviously HappyKambucha couldn't provide evidence to back up their side.

The likes of HappyKambucha is able to get bad reviews removed off other substandard poor quality review sites because they pay them a fee.

A quick read of the reply by HappyKambucha shows it to be full of inconsistencies, where they regularly contradict themselves and get caught out by their own lies. Take for example this part of the reply:

You also insulted her, told her that she had a personality disorder and should be institutionalised and threatened her. They state that the lady had no contact or communication with me whatsoever and merely contacted a review company to remove my bad review...
Simple question here HappyKambucha...if I never had any contact or communication with her and she never spoke to me as you state in your reply, how did I know who she was to aggressively abuse and intimidate her and everything else you accuse me of?

That is just one of many of their statements where their own lies catch them out.

Here is another quote from their reply

Threatening to sue somebody over removing a review would only be something like HappyKambucha would do because it is insane....you wouldn't have a hope in hell and only somebody missing a few marbles would come up with such a threat...unless of course..wait for it....it's another one of their crazy nonsensical lies.

Imagine this whole situation would never have arisen if HappyKambucha just read and answered their emails, had a bit of respect for their paying customers, showed a little bit of diplomacy and stopped taking everything so personal.

P.S. Transaction was 160.42 sterling not 300 ..more lies

HappyKambucha ... some basic maths. If I get something costing 160.42 and pay for it..then I get a refund while still having the product you would only be down 160.42. I had asked you to cancel the product when you told me you had gone to the police with crazy allegations well before I received it. At that time I looked for a refund from the bank. You don't read emails, so I still got it and you have been paid in full..you have a good product but are the most horrible, insane company I ever dealt with. I threatened to sue you..yes..only for your lies.

The first thing i would like to say is that all of the negative reviews posted on this site are from customers who's reviews have been removed from other sites for being fake or abusive.
Trustpilot will let anyone post a review they do not even need to have purchased anything and quite incredibly criminal behaviour and blackmail are not actually a valid reason to have a fake review removed here.
Just like all other review sites trust pilot do also charge a fee to get access to their "premium service" . We do not pay Trustpilot in any way shape or form.
We also do not use trustpilot to collect reviews from customers as we have had issues with fake reviews being lefty on this site previously. Trust pilot refuse to remove any reviews for any reason (unless its a hate crime) they instead suggest that we pay them money to allow them to collect more reviews from our customers that will drown out the bad ones. We do not think that is honest or fair and have therefore refused to use them since 2013.

We have been trading since 2009 and have 4.8 stars on feefo and have won their service award yearly since 2018. We have 4.9 stars on Amazon and 5 stars on ebay.

This customers reviews have been removed from other sites as they are false and untrue and can be proven to be so.

This customer sent one email asking where his order was. We sent an auto reply (pretty standard in business, it helps customers to know you have received their email) stating that we would reply as quickly as we could (it was the weekend).

The customer then sent a message that stated "I need a reply soon or I will be forced to leave bad reviews all over the internet regarding your company and get my friends to do the same" this is a direct quote from the email.

He followed through on his threats in less than 24 hours.

This customer has been reported to the police (although the customer is not based in the UK) as they sent very aggressive and abusive emails threatening a female member of staff directly after pointing out to her that you had her full name and would hold her personally responsible for everything. You also insulted her, told her that she had a personality disorder and should be institutionalised and threatened her. This particular member of staff has never actually spoken to you or had any communication with you, she simply asked a review company for one of your fake reviews to be removed. You seem to have latched on to that and are now fixated with it. She was just doing her job.
The customer has questioned the truth of this statement as he questions how he could know the member of staff's name if they had not correspondent with them. The customer gained the member of staff's name via the review site as when she appealed the review her name is shown as the person appealing it (the customer sent us an email showing us this!). The customer has sent several emails directly addressed to this member of staff, the member of staff however has never replied to any of them. All communication with this customer has been with the company owner directly.

You then sent further emails justifying your blackmail and the abuse of our staff when you were told that your other reviews were being removed. It is still continuing.

You have threatened to sue us for having the fake reviews removed!

In an email you sent to the member of staff that had asked for the review to be removed you stated "I caution you to be very careful of how you proceed with this going forward as I will be seeking damages for the stress I have suffered over all this and any further stress going forward and will be holding you personally responsible" this is a direct quote from your email.
That sounds very much like you are threatening to sue the member of staff.......i agree its crazy but those are your words!

We do get it, the customer thinks that this behaviour is 100% acceptable and that as we did not reply in 24 hours we deserve everything we get.
There are still some men that think that abusing women when they don't get there way is acceptable. We do not.

Not content with abusing our staff and lying you then decided to commit chargeback fraud. This matter has also been reported to the police who are investigating.

This was the customers reply when we emailed to ask if there was a problem with the order when we received the chargeback notification "I don't want that money back at all but more grief I can cause you" again a direct quote from the email.

Don't you sound like just the gem! I bet you are every companies dream. I notice an awful lot of one star reviews on your profile. I pity those poor companies.

We are happy to provide all the many horrible emails you have sent to anyone who might like to see them showing what a really lovely man you are when after a small company does not reply to an email in 24 hours! We are a small family run company just trying our best that's is £300 down at the moment due to your fraud.
In your update you have also questioned this claim stating that the transaction was for £160.42. Yes it was and we sent you an order worth £160.42 and you then told the bank that the goods you received were unacceptable, you still have all £160.42 of goods but at the moment you also have the £160.42 refund. So the cost of the goods plus the refund (as we had to pay for those goods and then to ship them to you) is £320.84 so the total cost of the fraud is £320.84. You also state that telling the bank fibs to get your money back and keeping the goods is not fraud!
definition of fraud: wrongful deception intended to result in financial or personal gain.

Again as stated previously, your order was dispatched within the time frame quoted, it was not late and did not take longer to arrive than you agreed to when you placed your order, It was an international order to the EU which does mean ALOT of paperwork, your order was however delivered within the timeframe promised when you placed your order. I accept that we did not immediately reply to your email as we are not open over the weekend and we apologise that due to staffing issues we are taking longer than we would normally like to reply to emails.
We however do not tolerate abuse, blackmail or threats in any way shape or form.#

The customer also talks about a pattern of feedback and he is right, pretty much all disgruntled customers who have been turned away or had their reviews removed from other sites then leave a review here which is impossible to have removed.

Shame on you trust pilot, that you facilitate the abuse is disgusting and then to refuse to remove it without even asking to see the emails or take the police reference numbers!

Bad customer service. Took four weeks to ship my order.

Took four weeks to ship my order, even though at the time the website said it would be shipped within days. There was a cold snap shortly afterwards, and they revised the delivery date, but even then they delivered it a week later than the revised delivery date (which they only told me about after I phoned them).

When I contacted them I found the customer service to be abrasive and dismissive.

Pretty good overall

Fantastic customer service!

I am extremely pleased with the standard of customer service displayed by Happy Kombucha.

I ordered a medium kombucha kit, including a scoby, glass jar, and four glass bottles. Whilst this was initially delivered to the wrong address, the company was extremely helpful in solving the problem. They organised for the product to be picked up and couriered to the correct address as soon as possible and were friendly and understanding throughout. All the products arrived safely and I am excited to begin breaking kombucha!

I would strongly advise using this company. Nothing is too much trouble and the quality of information and products available is second to none. Thanks Happy Kombucha!

First Class Company - be in NO doubt!

I cannot speak highly enough of this company. I just cannot believe what I am reading in the negative reviews. Can one be certain that they are from valid customers? Happy Kombucha’s product and customer service is among the best I have ever encountered. I had reason to phone with a query and the young lady that I spoke to absolutely could not have been more helpful. She suggested that I try another product which was delivered to me by Royal Mail Free of Charge (!!!) less than 24 hours later. I suggest that people who write such scathing reviews are very suspect and sit in lockdown wondering what damage they can do next. This is a First Class Company! Thank you Happy Kombucha.
