I wanted a customised itinerary to India. Shivjit of Harjis India made the whole process incredibly easy. I regularly tweaked a few things on the way and nothing was too much trouble.

On getting there everything from the moment I landed at Delhi until the return flight required no thinking on my part whatsoever. Guides and drivers were all first class.

If I am lucky enough to visit again I wouldn’t have any hesitation in using Harjis India.

Shivjit at Harji's organised a fabulous trip for us covering the golden triangle, Dharamshala for cricket, Palampur, Amritsar, and Kerala. Quite a combination! Great attention to detail. The trip ran like clockwork. Excellent drivers and guides.
Plenty of options on places to stay.
Cannot recommend Harji's enough. In fact our son booked too and had a great trip, and friends are off there next year.

We cannot recommend Harji’s India enough. We were first time travellers to India researching some family history. When planning the trip, I spoke to several agents but Shivjit was the only one that really listened to what we wanted and worked with our budget. The result was a fabulous holiday staying in smaller, centrally located hotels or home stays all of which were friendly, clean and wonderful. We ate mostly in the hotels as the food was delicious. We had an odd itinerary but all of the internal flights and transfers worked perfectly and were stress free. The communication with the team was prompt and easy.

The team in India were faultless as well. As we were travelling, we had several drivers and guides. All of the were great and easily accommodated our family history requests taking us to obscure churches, cemeteries or buildings. They also took us sightseeing - so many fabulous things to see. We visited Delhi, Agra, Kolkata and Darjeeling and found family history (and loads of amazing other places to see) in all.

Thank you to Harji’s for organising truly a trip of a lifetime.

Harji's made sure our holiday was perfect!

Our driver was exceptional and the whole trip was very well organised. Shiv (from the UK office) went also above and beyond: she was always very responsive and provided with great tips/suggestions.

The Kabini River safari trips were amazing seeing such wonderful wildlife in a natural habitat.
The toy train journey from Coonoor to Coimbatore was fascinating.

Brilliant trip: first class organisation,every detail checked, excellent driver and guides

Our three-week trip to South India in January 2024 went brilliantly. Harji’s were very easy to deal with and organised things extremely well, choosing interesting places and excellent hotels. Their comms and organization struck us as very thorough, with everything arranged in-country, guides on hand and local reps to call in case of need. And all for a surprisingly reasonable price. We would recommend Harji’s to anyone and intend to use them again.

I signed up for a two-week beach yoga retreat in beautiful Kerala and decided on a further five-week journey which was organised expertly with Harji's company. As a solo woman traveller, and one who frankly can get lost with a sat nav, I wanted to ensure I was in safe hands. I emailed and talked to Harji about what I liked and he put together an itinerary. It was absolutely wonderful, taking me from one end of India's west coast to the other. I travelled on the dreamy backwaters of Kerala in a historic boat, walked through a topiary tea plantation and up a mountain in Munnar. I spent six days with one driver who was kind, polite and got used of me getting used to India roads (I came to absolutely love them). Then I went on to historic Fort Kochi, the serene beauty of lakes in Udaipur, floating palaces, the silver and silks in Jaipur, tiger-spotting on mountainous reserves in Ranthambore, a pearlescent Taj Mahal at dawn in Agra, teaming, yet elegant, calm and hidden oasis' of Delhi and finally, the spiritual tranquility and wild singing and dancing in Varanasi at the mouth of the Ganges. At every place I was put on planes, trains and met off them, taken to beautiful hotels, small guest houses and had exceptionally experienced, erudite guides. Harji even organised an evening meal with two of his good friends. India has been an embrace of the senses; from chanting in sandlewood-scented temples, the smiling, polite, joyful people I met, steaming sweet masala chai, monkeys swiping food off meandering cows in streets, well-fed dogs felled by the sun's heat as tuc-tuc taxis veer around them. I loved every minute. I miss it all, especially the warmth, light and colour. I would not have contemplated this without Harji and his exceptional team, who were on hand in India 24/7. Instead of worrying about accommodation and transport, I relaxed completely and had the absolute time of my life. I can't recommend his company enough.

We used Harji's India to help us plan our honeymoon. Our Agent (Shivjit) designed the perfect trip based on our requirements and interests. Communication and the details of our trip was clear from the outset and the UK based team were a pleasure to deal with. Once on the trip all of our guides, drivers and hotels were incredibly well organised and informed meaning we had to plan and think very little, leaving us to enjoy the sites and experiences of India!

My tour of southern Rajasthan was a complete success and all arrangements worked perfectly. My driver and hotels were excellent and I was contacted three times to check all was well which I appreciated. An amazing holiday from start to finish....and all arranged and booked within a week of departure! A professional, helpful and friendly service from all involved. Accommodation was excellent, a great mix of styles with a heritage theme, we particularly enjoyed the homestay. Drivers soon became friends, our guides were always there when arranged and enthusiastic to show you the real India...even the car was spotless every morning! Overall...if you want to see India just have a chat with Harji's!

I came across Harji’s India whilst searching online for a solo adventure to India.
I didn’t want something run of the mill and the Kerala and South India looked perfect. It offered a great variety of locations plus the chance to travel by train to Ooty.
From the minute I spoke to Shivjit I felt in safe hands. I was reassured that as a woman travelling alone I would be well looked after and totally safe.
Everything was booked for me - flights, accommodation, tours, guides, meet and greet and a driver.
Excellent guides in Kochin, Munnar, Madurai and Periyar. A wonderful home stay in Pallakad. The visit to Kolukkumalai, the highest Organic Tea Garden & Factory was probably the highlight for me. I lost my fear of heights and my bones were well and truly shaken up! I won’t give anymore away…
Accommodation was excellent, either in older, traditional houses or in modern hotels. (The Heritage in Madurai was in need of some updating however).
I spent quite some time in the company of my driver, Rejeesh, who brought India to life for with his general knowledge of politics, education and the natural world. Always on time and with a fresh bottle of water every day and endless good humour and patience (especially when I was shopping). My trip would not have been so easy without him! 🙏🏻 Rejeesh!
The backwaters of Kerala were a change of pace ending at the Marari Beach Resort for a couple of days to rest before going home. All in all an amazing trip and I met some wonderful, interesting and kind people along the way.
I never once felt like a tourist although I stuck out like a sore thumb no doubt!
I will return to India again for sure.

Very good organisation, the whole planned trip went through seamlessly, and smooth.

The Driver Rakesh, and his assistant Sagar who were with us throughout the whole time were superb, in addition to the local guides.

We specified local experts or guides who knew about the history of each fort and palace, so in every city this was organised, but it felt like we got best guides in town, as we skipped queues and went straight in.

A real VIP tour was organised in every fort or Palace we visited. In addition, as I was reading 3 books and the history of Mogul India and the Rajputs, they spent quite a lot of time explaining and discussing historical facts.

The Hotels selected were the best in any class, with food and levels of accommodation first class in every aspect.

One tour / itinerary was the Rathanbore Tiger Safari, which I was against selecting, but Shivjit from Harji's was persuasive. This ended up being one the highlights of the trip. I am so glad this was recommended to us. Magic.

We've travelled all over the world, and being 4th Generation non-resident Indian (UK born, bit like Rishy) , this trip very much answered questions I had about India, my heritage and the history of India prior to the British Raj.

First time visitor to India. I needed to arrange a weeks sightseeing for a myself and 5 others after a wedding we were attending in Northern India, all at quite short notice.

I am so happy I stumbled across Harji’s India, from the moment I first spoke to them things felt right.

They organised our drivers, guides and accommodation. We visited Haridwar, Jaipur, Agra and Delhi. I would really like to thank the Harji’s staff and all people on the ground in India who help make it a trip of a lifetime. The service we received was exceptional throughout.

I would not hesitate to recommend them and should I ever venture eastwards again they would be my first port of call.
