Extraordinarily good consultation

Friendly greeting, nice environment. Clean. Pleasant nurse. Consultant, Mr Guy Morris, was extraordinary. Patience, compassion, preparation, a considered response to a complicated situation, approachable, thoughful. Kind and patient-centred, so often lacking but abundent. Wow!

The booking and appointment system is a shambles. In their own words following a query re appointments , was told ‘ the left hand doesn’t often know what the right hand is doing !’ Think this sums HCA up exactly!

Outstanding Care

Here’s a polished rewording of your message:
I recently had a consultation with Professor Kefah Mokbel at HCA Healthcare UK, Harley Street. During a period of uncertainty and stress, he provided exceptional care and clear, comprehensive information, which made me feel reassured and in very safe hands throughout.
All investigations were carried out on the same day, with imaging arranged immediately and the results reviewed during the same appointment. I am truly grateful for the level of expertise, knowledge, and care I received during my consultation. The entire medical team was attentive, professional, and respectful.
I am also a patient at HCA Healthcare UK’s Lister Hospital, where I continue to receive the same high standard of care. I am consistently impressed by the consultants’ expertise and their genuine commitment to their patients’ wellbeing and recovery journey.
HCA Healthcare UK has provided me with the answers, treatment, and support I needed - at a level of care I have not experienced elsewhere.

I would like to share very positive…

I would like to share very positive feedback about my recent experience with Dr Sidwell and her team. From the initial consultation through to the successful operation, she was exceptionally kind, attentive, and reassuring. She took the time to listen carefully to my concerns, explained the diagnosis and procedure in clear, understandable terms, and made sure I felt involved in every decision about my care.

On the day of the operation, both Dr Sidwell and the nurse Anna were wonderful. Their calm, professional manner and genuine empathy made a real difference to what could have been a stressful experience. I felt supported, safe, and well looked after throughout, and I am very grateful for the excellent outcome and the high standard of care they provided.

I wanted to ensure that this is recognised and fed back to Dr Sidwell, nurse Anna, and the wider team.

Many thanks,
Emanuel

Catastrophically Injured by Serial Killer Doctors

I spent over £30k+ at this dangerous business before I was nearly admitted to an ICU. I had barely been sick before I saw these serial killers after being referred by their own GP. I had not been examined until it was too late to not be nearly dying. I saw several surgeons who might be butchers and killers who need be put in the news as murders and imprisoned. Less than one month after I had been seen I dropped completely dead in ICU with no refund given still! I am absolutely disgusted every time I bother to see the British medical professionals. And received endless misdiagnosis for such high bills that’s it’s not worth seeing! Particularly so low demand at hospital like setting.

This dangerous business has significantly reduced my earnings through permanent disability acquired as a result of this worthless care. I feel frightened that my illness can’t be recovered from, and may affect me my whole life. I have no idea how this dangerous doctor has injured me for so much money in treatment to recover.

I wish I’d just seen another hospital - where I could have been seen safely. Safety is still not paramount to this dangerous business for so much money!

The booked consultant simply didn’t show up.

The consultant radiologist, DR. AJAY ARORA, simply didn’t show up for the booked (and urgent) appointment.
Not only that, but his failure to appear that day must have been noticed early in the day by the London Bridge Hospital, and yet nobody thought to let me know before my booked appointment, which was late in the day on a Friday.

I had an Inguinal Hernia repair…

I had an Inguinal Hernia repair recently at The Harbourne Hospital with Mr Simon Radley. Him and his team were outstanding.
The hospital itself is extremely clean, the staff are all very friendly, welcoming, friendly and reassuring, from the reception team to the ward nurses, the anesthetist, surgeon and after care nurses.
The food is also not like you expect 'hospital food' to be you actually get a menu in your room with choices. This is even just in the day case wards! The room, toilets and showers are very clean also.
I had to self fund as its something I didnt want to be waiting months for but I definitely feel like it was money well spent, especially for your health.
Would recommend to anyone.

Shambolic billing

Like many others on this platform, I’ve had a torrid time with HCA accounts and billing. I have received numerous demands for payment which are duplicated or erroneous. It’s been hugely stressful in a period I should be focussed on recovering from cancer treatment. If I’d blindly paid the duplicate invoices I would have overpaid in excess of £10,000. The only way to get action is to submit a formal complaint. The billing process is clearly a shambles and there seem to be systemic issues which appear to be impacting many patients (based on similar reviews). I would advise all previous, current and future patients to keep clear records and closely scrutinise all payment demands. Patients shouldn’t have to do this, especially when they are going through treatment and recovery. But, if you don’t keep a close eye you could easily end up paying considerably more than appropriate for treatment.

I went to the 5th floor for a Barium swallowing test, but didn’t end up having as it looked like I was having a heart attack.
I’d like to thank all the nurses and staff who helped me before the ambulance arrived, everyone was so kind sympathetic and caring, I wished I knew their names to thank them personally!
