Health Tech Academy Reviews 

1. I enrolled for Pharmacy Technician Program. This program was very sufficient and diligent. I give the program a 7/10 since it is a go at your own pace program.
2. Payment Plan is absolutely absurd. I recommend paying in full or do not enroll at all. I took the payment plan route, every month I receive 2 invoices. One for the program I am enrolled in, and the other for a program I am NOT enrolled in.
3. Communication and hearing back from almost ALL the departments are ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. I’ve been contacting the finance department since I started in October of 2025. It is now January 2026 and I’m still receiving double the invoices. They did reach out before the holidays to confirm I would no longer receive the additional invoices but it was fruitless. I STILL receive them for a program I AM NOT ENROLLED IN.
4. I can’t put frustration into words strong enough to describe how infuriating the coaches are. I can say, Miss. Lakeisha is THE BEST lady to have on your team. She’s active, attentive and constructs dilligent meetings EVERY TIME. Now, the career coaches who help build your LinkedIn accounts, resume and career prospects and preparation are TERRIBLE. THE WORST PEOPLE. I’ve had TWO who has consistently showed up late10-15mins for our 30 minute sessions without communication. I’ve had one completely not show up. The other lady, Miss Nayab, had one completed session with me, the second session connection was terrible, she had absolutely NO recollection of our FIRST meeting. It seemed she had NO NOTES or even remembrance of our first career meet. The Second Lady, Miss Malika completely ghosted me and never contacted me to reschedule our meeting AFTER expressing to her my poor experience with Miss Nayab prior.

My advice, stay disciplined and focused with your work. YouTube and peers will be your best friend to prepare you for interviews, professional growth, practicing how you speak and annunciate, learning studying habits and giving yourself 3-4 hours daily to work on the chapters and study. The career coaches are not reliable. Miss Lakeisha was hands down the BEST coach I could ever ask for. She gave me amazing feedback and advice on how to advance my career and prepare me for the PTCB exam at the end of the pharmacy technician program.

This school becomes no responsive after they receive the tuition. I have two students enrolled into the surgical tech program. The school called constantly to get them enrolled. Once they received the tuition they stopped answering calls only emails at an average of 5 days of waiting on a response. The students completed the program but there are no clinical sites. It's been 6 mths since the Studenta finished and still don't have a clinical sites. Malika Heider, Career Service advisor is working with the students now to try and obtain a clinical site but it takes a minimum of 5 days for a response back which continues to delay the process of the students completing their clinicals. I don't know who to speak to and get help regarding these two students.

So far not good at all in trying to get customer service. The business turns ghost and at first I thought I.C.E. officers took the staff down, when anyone working at that business, Health Tech Academy, did not respond to any of my calls or text or emails. But now I figure I had been scammed out of hard earned money. LETS COME TOGETHER WITH A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT, TO GET OUR MONEY BACK. And for those of you who gave a 1 star review, face it, you will have to retake the Surgical technician program with an accredited school, to secure your investment and secure your future.

I had problems since the day I started this program.... I signed up and paid for the CCMA program. For starters the website kept crashing and I was not able to complete assignments until a month after I signed up and paid for the class. I was annoyed but happy once I was able to complete all my modules. I completed said modules back in NOVEMBER 25 we are currently in JANUARY 26 and I have emailed several people asking for my exam code and they all give me the run around. I call and no answer. This company is a BIG FAT SCAM. DO NOT USE THEM WHATSOEVER. They are delaying my process to becoming a medical assistant and finding work. I repeat DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They just want to steal your money and go ghost on you. No one in this company is helpful at all. I'm seriously considering suing because the product I paid for has not been given in full.

So my story! I did the program 2025 started in April finish in August and still no help with getting my case studies started. I have had two student advisors. Now it is 2026 (5 months later ) still no case studies started. They are not affiliated as they said. Research them a bit more before spending money.

If I can do a zero star I would.
I signed up for surgical tech program. I was promised clinical training and how they’d place me in a clinical site and I’d get all the support. After I paid the tuition in full. They disappeared. No one answers phone calls. It’s been a year since I signed up for the program and I’m yet to be placed in a clinical site. They never answer phone calls and they have done nothing to help me get into a clinical site for training.
They won’t refund my money either. Just a bunch of scammers. Do not waste your time or money. Go do a 2 year degree instead.
This is a fake business and only after your money.. I’m suing them for fraud and false information.
I DO NOT recommend at all.

Everyone has been so kind and understanding when I had a major health issue and needed more time. There were many who had reached out to offer kind and positive words, and to be supportive and encouraging. My experience has been over all very positive. Everyone is always eager to hear from me and to know whether there is any way they can help. It truly feels to me like they want me to get the most out of my own self paced boot camp as much as I do, and they want me, ultimately, to be able to take the test and pass my first time and gain certification as much as I do, too. Also, with my extenuating circumstances, they have been so lenient, and continue to go above and beyond to make the program work around my needs, each time something has gone wrong or has turned out to not work for me as it should, and even allowed me to make a major change last minute. I think maybe because I have realistic expectations, as well, that maybe partially lending to my positive experience, with them, also. As I am aware that they can't do things that are outside of reason, or within everyone's perfect timeframe. The things we correspond about take a reasonable amount of time to get a response for, and when I've needed something, it's taken seriously, and done so promptly. Once I'm in touch with the right person, which isn't difficult either, things usually go this way. I am also aware, with what I consider pretty realistic and obvious expectations, that I will not always get the answer I want to any question or request that I might have. But it's the fact that that still happens so very little for me, plus the genuine, and sweet nature to the way in which I've been shown kindness, and guidance, seemingly from basically everyone with whom I get the opportunity to communicate with, that counts so much , and that I appreciate so much, and is why I can fully deem it a very good overall experience. Especially for price of the program, and with how much I have to gain from it. The reason I wanted to take the time to write out such a long, somewhat detailed, but honest review, is because of how much it means to me. Plus, if this is a public review, which, I'm not even sure, to possibly help someone who may need this exact info to help them make the decisions they need to make. I would like to know all this stuff, I think. I want to give, I a sort of, shout out, so to speak, to Rameen Raheel. She has been the most recent I've gotten the opportunity to be in touch with, and who had worked so hard to help me regarding my most recent needs, changes, and challenges. And she also not only made it work out for me, but she made it happen so fast. I am ever grateful, sincerely. You have been so awesome. Thank you so much. I don't know what I would do without this program, or without you being incredible as you have been.

My overall experience with Health Tech Academy had been a great one. The curriculum was well put together and easy to access and engage with. My career coach, Ms. Lakeisha Palmer, has been a big help throughout the whole process as well. I appreciate the time and effort on her part.

I had a great experience with the Sterile Processing Tech course at Health Tech Academy. What I like the most about the program is it being self paced so there's no overload of material rather you work a full time job, part time job or not working at all. You are given quizzes after each lesson to make sure you retaining the information. The instructors were very knowledgeable and supportive and the lessons were clear and practical. The career support team are also very helpful with externship and job preparation. I am in the process for preparation of the exam and reaching out to facilities for externships and job opportunities.

I am writing to share my experience with Health Tech Academy, which has been extremely disappointing and concerning. In my opinion, this program has been poorly managed and does not provide the support it advertises — especially when it comes to externship placement.

Throughout my time enrolled, I was unable to get reliable communication from anyone at the school. Calls go unanswered, there is no voicemail, and all communication is pushed through WhatsApp, which makes the program feel unprofessional and difficult to trust. I consistently received responses only when I was enrolling or making payments, not when I needed help or support.

The coursework itself was also problematic. Several of the videos did not work, and many appeared to be pulled directly from YouTube rather than being original instructional content. This made it difficult to learn effectively or feel confident in the material. Communication was also challenging, as it was often difficult to find anyone who spoke fluent English, which added more frustration to an already unorganized process.

The lack of externship assistance — one of the major reasons I enrolled — was the final issue for me. Based on my experience, I do not believe this program provides the externship support it advertises.

Because of these issues, I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau so that other students are aware of my experience before enrolling.

They are scammers, such of waste of money, they don’t care about your education they just want easy money. I been calling them but they don’t answer, and the few times Maria answered she was rude to me. I also been sending messages to them because I want a refund and they don’t answer. I want a refund as soon as possible

Signed up for their free zoom to learn more about the surgical tech program. All of us joined on-time to wait for over 25 minutes to see their logo and nobody from their end ever joined, wouldn't even respond via chat when they actually started the meeting. Hard pass for me.

This course was a complete waste of time and money. The curriculum was based off of YouTube videos, the quizzes and tests are meaningless and you can just skip past them, and the "hosts" are worthless. The one reason this program even gets a star, is the coaches are attentive and come with real experience. If you choose to complete your clinicals at a facility not within their liking, they refuse to send curriculum or syllabus... which is understandable considering it literally consists of OTHER creators' YouTube videos. Nothing is original. This is a scam. If you want to learn, go to YouTube and look up Surgical Tech Tips. HTA loves that guy.

Right now I'm in limbo with health Tech Academy. Don't get me wrong they're wonderful online school they are very encouraging and stuff like that but I don't know if there's a missing I don't know if there's anything missing really but I'm hoping that I can do clinicals after when I'm done with my courses so therefore I could pursue my career in surgical tech but since I live in a rural country of Texas or rural part of Texas I don't know if they can do that for me and I'm hoping that they can so we shall see but other than that they're awesome

I enrolled with HealthTech Academy early this year. My academic advisor was Lakeisha. She was great to work with, and she answered as many questions as I needed answered. She was kind and professional. I definitely recommend this institution if you’re looking to do something self-paced or online.

My experience so far has been great. The only downfall is that I am a visual person so I like to have things in my hand that I study so I need a book. LaKeisha Palmer is a great coach when I have questions if she doesn't know the answer she gets back with me even on vacation. Thanks for making this a great experience for us older learners
