The community I found within Health Unlocked is a sanctuary online where I have met amazing and remarkable resilient people like myself struggling with a variety of mental health issues and finding comfort among its members and the freedom to share at whatever level they are comfortable - I have spent years in this community and the support I have found has given me the support I need to branch out and try new things

So many thoughtful, helpful answers based on long personal experience. Feels like my hand is being held on a daily basis

I was able to get advice from other in my situation and also I'm able to help others based on my life experiences! Thank you for a great place were everyone can get advice and help others !

I have cancer and it's terminal. Health Unlocked is a life line for me. Genuine supportive people who give me hope and strength. Don't know what I'd do without it. Some negative reviews on here but everyone entitled to an opinion.

It's a great site for those who don't unknowingly break their stringent rules but often posts are deleted without any explanation. There is no kindness shown when a person has revealed their vulnerabilities in a post and moderators later decide to remove it as they deem it as inappropriate. It is very confusing especially when a person doesn't know what they have done wrong. Some have been left feeling anxious and lacking in confidence because of this treatment. The communication between admin and users is poor at best or virtually non existent.

My experince with HeathUnlocked with having a learning disabties . i got cyberbullying by two users on the on Anxiety and Depression Support and they always never nice to me and always were very mean . that I did nothing wrong toThatm . yet they say stuff that i wYet't being nice but i wIs being nice . lying . I even got cyberbullying by senting PM to one user. i all gotthe person alwayIblame for not being nice and saying that i was being mean but is that uIers that didn't listen to what i was trying to ask for help .Ithe user didn't help one bit , made me very upset .

I recently wrote 3 negative reviews about HU which were not justified.

HU is a source of information and support for a number of health conditions. As on any online forum there will be disagreements but HU and Form admin try their best to be fair and even handed while doing a difficult job.

I would urge people to use this resource.

Absolutely brilliant site for would be runners, Couch to 5K and beyond. I couldn’t have achieved what I have without my forum buddies sharing every step of the way. Can’t recommend this site highly enough.

Really enjoying this group. Excellent support. I’ve just lost 3lb this week after input from group regarding LCHF and it’s working for me thankfully. Was very upset about not losing anything previously. So good advice taken on board. Well worth chatting on here. Very nice people. Thankyou so much for your support and advice.

Absolutely brilliant. I’m a runner and use the HU forums daily. So inspirational and supportive, and I’ve made some firm friends through our sport.

I have not used the website for myself but appreciate how lucky I am with my COPD compared with others. I can still do some housework and attend a Pilates class once a week. When I start to feel sorry for myself I read how other people suffer and tell myself off!

A useful forum to exchange experiences with others who have the same medical condition.
Friendly and supportive posts, with pointers to useful (trustworthy) sources of information.

Very good forum for advice on RA, lots of people with knowledge of medications and general all round experience. Only problem is conversations do sometimes tend to go off topic, but all of the people on the forum are well meaning and helpful.

I find Health Unlocked to be an invaluable tool in the fight against chronic illness. It is a friendly community platform full of helpful advice and support.

I am a member of the running communities. Over the last 3 years it has been the source of amazing expertise and support which has helped me progress from a 66 year old non runner to someone who has run a half marathon and is now running 4 times per week. It has helped to transform the lives of many people.

Health Unlocked is a great platform for those of us with various conditions to share our experiences and learn from each other. I share on three different auto immune pages and the help from others is kind and caring. A great place to find others with similar problems.

Not only have I learnt a great deal about my heart failure,I have received so much kindness and support from those with much worse conditions than mine.It has been a wonderful incentive to keep doing my utmost to retain a level of fitness and also put my problems in perspective.So glad I found the site.

I joined Health Unlocked as I had been diagnosed with SS and didn't know anything about the syndrome. It helped me find others who have the same illness. The advice given is measured and detailed. Thankyou Health Unlocked and all the "Sweeties"

I am a member of the British Lung foundation Site which in many ways is a family. Mostly it is highly supportive when dealing with the day to day problems of having a lung disease. There is a real mixture of subjects discussed and the site just does not limit posts to the more clinical areas. The admin use a light touch and basically the members regulate content themselves. Obviously like most families there is the odd disagreement but happily these are very few.
