Always someone here, with a sympathetic ear. Often intelligent, well considered answers that support people world-wide who are experiencing the unusual difficulties that accompany, in my case Polymyalgia Rheumatica.

Maybe it is just me but find this website is difficult to get around in. For example, I can't even submit the date of this remark!!!!!!!

I would, absolutely , recommend HealthUnlocked to anybody who needs support, information and care and I don't know how I would have got through the past few year's since I had a horrendous cancer misdiagnosis. The advice is helpful and speaking to other people who are in the same or similar situation, is invaluable. I am SO pleased to have found this site. They cover so many different health issues and it is incognito so you can pour your heart out, frequently, without fear of retribution! If you are struggling with physical or mental health issues then please go to HealthUnlocked and get the help, support and advice that you need. Highly recommended.

My experience has been great. Most of the people contributing are knowledeable & willing to share their experience & information. It's not so much a "support" or commiseration site as it is sharing what one knows.

I love HealthUnlocked, it has made our My MSAA Community possible! For 6yrs, l have been a volunteer C.A. and any time l have had trouble with the site, they get back to us quick with answers!
I do have to say, not a big fan of the latest update, wheras you can no longer use google keyboard.
Other than that... way to go!

I realy appreciate finding out about healthunlocked as there seems to be no help at all from my doctors,its a couple of years since i found you i add as it asks for the date of experiance, i thank you for making me feel there is hope

I LOVE that I came acrossed thus website. Its so comforting to read about things and problems I experience on a daily basis. This website is like a warm blanket cuz nobody understands me...but this website and the people do.

Informative cheerfully supportive helpful

This site has multiple threads for different diseases. It can be a useful source of shared experiences. One of the main problems is that some threads are dominated by frustrated pseudo medics who can give bad advice to vulnerable people and encourage antagonistic relationships with the medical profession on which people are dependent. The overall site is owned by an American business (which uses small charities to operate the subject threads). The American company are looking to monetise the massive amount of personal medical information on the site, they are not a charity. Many site users are unaware of this fact. The site should be utilised with these points in mind.

Too many questions just To Find out an answer to a
health question!

I joined the CLL support group of HealthUnlocked shortly after diagnosis with a cancer of the immune system during the height of Covid in a world of uncertainty.

It is an excellent resource for reliable factual information on a highly individualised disease, whose strength is built on being a truly welcoming, caring and supportive community, through all the highs, lows and every day concerns of all its members. A true life & sanity saver.

I find I am both inspired by peoples stories and appreciate the information that participants so thoughtfully share. The administrators in particular are really on the ball in curating a range of information and gently guiding informed and respectful discussion.

Provides the support that the so-called “national” health service does not! It may also have signposted a route to the rehab for which I have been searching for four years.

I have reviewed HealthUnlocked before. However, it's such a brilliant forum I'm going to do it again!

My name is Paul (AKA Paulbounce on the atrial fibrillation forum). The support and knowledge there are second to none. Fire a question or concern and you'll get answers within minutes. I think I have learnt more about my condition than I have from my cardiologist or doctor. This is from people who are not medically qualified but have been there and got the tee shirt. The forum has many dedicated sections for many medical conditions. It's totally free to join and I highly recommend it. The old saying everything to gain and nothing to lose applies here. People from all over the world post so whether you are from the UK or Australia there will be an answer or suggestion to try and address your question. 5 Stars all round from me.

Heath Unlocked is very well run site. It covers a wide range of health problems, making it particularly useful for people with multiple or cross over conditions.
The administrators are from prominent health care charities, each condition has its own forum run by a charity for that condition.
The boards are very supportive and offer a lot of help. They are equally useful to someone who has just been diagnosed and those have have had a condition for many years.

I use Health Unlocked as I have glaucoma. I have always found it a helpful, supportive resource, not simply because there are representatives from the Glaucoma Society on here, but also because it has a good number of other subscribers, all of whom make up a great community. I can recommend the page to anyone with the condition, or caring for a sufferer.
