Unfair charges
At first, everything seemed great. I rented a car for about two weeks and was even given a better model because the original one was at the mechanic. I also purchased full insurance specifically to avoid any unexpected charges.
However, the experience quickly turned disappointing after returning the car. I was charged around 1200 DKK without clear justification. After a lengthy discussion with customer support, I managed to recover nearly half of that amount—this part was for fuel, even though I had refueled the car right before returning it. Thankfully, I had photo evidence, otherwise I doubt this would have been resolved at all.
The remaining charge was for cleaning, which I strongly dispute.
I returned the car in a condition that was entirely reasonable after two weeks of normal use. More importantly, I must challenge the validity of this fee under basic consumer protection principles.
The company has confirmed that it holds no documentation showing the condition of the vehicle at the time of return. Meanwhile, the only photo referenced was taken by me the following morning (March 23 at 07:17), after the car had already been transported and left overnight in a garage. The car was not used after bringing it to the garage March 22 at around 20:18 and was not used afterward. I also have a witness who can confirm this. The company however hasn't still provided any photo evidence of how the car looked after I had returned it.
This creates a clear gap in evidence. Without documentation from the actual time of return, it is impossible to prove that the car required cleaning beyond normal use.
Additionally, placing the full burden of proof on the customer while the company itself keeps no records creates a serious imbalance. This raises concerns under EU and Danish consumer protection rules regarding fairness in contractual terms.
Overall, this experience has significantly reduced my trust in this company. Charging customers without proper evidence is not acceptable. I strongly encourage the company to review this case again and handle such matters more transparently and fairly in the future.
At this point, I expect a full reconsideration of the remaining charge.

Very poor service – no vehicle available despite booking
I had a very frustrating experience with Oscar Biludlejning.
I made a confirmed reservation for a moving truck, but when I arrived at the agreed time and location, there was no vehicle available.
After contacting customer service, I was told to go to another location to pick up a different vehicle. This caused a significant delay and disrupted my plans. On top of that, I was asked to pay extra for the replacement vehicle, even though the issue was entirely on their side.
The customer service was also not responsive or helpful, despite the urgency of the situation.
Overall, this was a very disappointing experience:
No vehicle available despite confirmed booking
Extra charges for a replacement due to their mistake
Poor and unresponsive customer service
Significant delay and inconvenience
I would not recommend this company based on this experience.

The possibility to collect and drop off keys is excellent. However I did not receive any information about where my key is and had to call customer service. The English voice that narrates the options on helpline is absolutely terrible. Please change the voice as it is useless with that voice.

DANGEROUS safety failures and fraud in…
DANGEROUS safety failures and fraud in Oscar Spain (Motril branch)
I am writing this to alert the Danish headquarters about the unacceptable and dangerous situation in the Motril branch (Spain).
We rented two cars (Reservas 1337107 & 1337122), and it has been a nightmare:
CRITICAL SAFETY FAILURES: We were given a car with a defective tyre that blew out. To our shock, the car DID NOT have the mandatory V-16 emergency light nor the wheel wrench, leaving a family with children stranded and helpless on the road. This is a violation of Spanish traffic laws.
FRAUDULENT CHARGES: We were charged for the first day of rental even though the cars were NOT provided.
Despite a verbal promise of a refund from the local manager (Tomás), they are now refusing to pay back.
POOR MAINTENANCE: The replacement vehicles were filthy (animal hair) and one had a broken indicator light.
The local branch is ignoring us and the Spanish HQ says they are just 'intermediaries'. It is shameful that a Danish brand like Oscar allows such negligence and lack of safety standards.
A formal complaint has been filed with the Spanish authorities (Junta de Andalucía). I demand an immediate full refund.
