Ever look for an item and see that Hero shows it in stock? We'll they may or MAY NOT. Here is my experience.
April 10 - $799 CAD transaction accepted as soon as order is submitted. Order #108XXX, 2 items were listed in stock.
April 15 - received email that items shipped/completed
April 24 - received email that items shipped/completed only this time the 2 items were listed
April 24 - received Canada post email stating that they received the parcel from Hero Outdoors, tracking #XXXXXXXXXXXXX, delivery date is April 30
May 1 - tried calling Hero Outdoors but just has voice mail
May 5 - since I have not received the item and now concerned about all the bad reviews, I opened a ticket with Canada Post
May 11 - Canada Post says item was never scanned, check with sender
May 12 - tried calling Hero Outdoors again (1-855-464-4376) but just has a recording. No way to contact since emails are ignored as well.
May 12 - submitted a MC dispute
May 28 - MC credited me full amount ($799 CAD)
Read the BBB reviews as well.
How can this business operate in this country? The online ordering appears to be a SCAM. Very interesting how it appears Canada Post will deliver the item but Canada Post never did receive the item. Pretty shady stuff.
AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!!

I purchased a pair of Troy sights unforgetable before googling Hero Outdoors. Fde is all that is in stock but I need irons. Paypal 377.42 and get confirmation. Instantly notice Hero sells Fake Troy. Send an email asking about this with on reply. Send an email to cancel order because Troys are highly faked. No response. send 20x emails. call x20 times. Send countless product enquiries. Send order status enquiries. Nothing!

LGW//May 20..the second order...arrived today,,,

Ordered rubberized hand guard grips and the ones that shipped were a completely different style contrary to their provided image - which SHOULD match the product you're ordering, right? This is a middle man company who offer a convenient catalogue, but with most products sourced-on-demand out of house. Its been 6 months since I ordered a foregrip and judging how its not in stock on Evike I wont hold my breath and may never receive it.

Ordered multiple items and like everyone here, my order hasn't even been fulfilled after 5 weeks. I ordered only what they said was in stock, and they responded to one of my emails saying the my order was going to be shipped that week. However that was over 2 weeks ago and still nothing. I opened a dispute with paypal to which Hero has ignored communicating with to date and just updated my order page yesterday saying "awaiting fulfillment". They really are the pri*ks everyone is stating here.

UPDATE: As of May 25, 2020, Hero Outdoors has failed to reply to PayPal. Nor have they contacted me.

Don’t shop here , they will rip you off . No hero’s here , just thieves that steal hardworking people’s money .

ORDERED A FOLDER KNIFE they said on the website it was in stock after 3 weeks nothing came, I called and called finally some 1 answered and said it was back ordered, I said it was a gift for my dads birthday which passed, and id like my $ back as they said it was in stock they said they don't do that, finally a used knife came not the 1 I ordered this was a 277$ knife, I work for 18,64 per hr this is a lot of $ for me. it was a TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TRANSACTION TERRIBLE COMPANY THEY SHOULD BE SHIUT DOWN, THE OWNER CHARGED. they plan on operating like this. BEWARE

Total scam please do not purchase from website. I ordered products on April 17th 2020, on April 20th 2020 my credit card was charged, and on April 21st I was contacted by my credit card company reporting that my card had been compromised. I believe I have narrowed it down to this company as being the compromise. I have emailed them twice requesting updates on my orders and no reply and from reading other reviews it seems that this company is a total scam. If you read any of the 4/5 star reviews you can tell from broken English that they are fake reviews. Total BS.

Good selection of products, but extremely poor customer service. They do not respond to emails or phone calls. The web site and order accounts are not updated. Many products advertised ARE NOT IN STOCK, and that means very long order processing times. Better Business Bureau rating is F for SNAFU. Buyers beware if you want your items in a timely fashion; you may end up in a Visa or PayPal charge back dispute.

Charged my card then said product was out of stock. Said 5 days for refund. Week later still waiting. Their "Hero Brand" is mis sized chinese surplus and when they send you the wrong size they don' fix it. Do not order from these guys!

Herooutdoors sent me a defective product. I wrote to the company to describe the defect., but did not receive a response. i followed up with another email after three weeks. I have got no response from the company.

Deal with this company with caution.

I have purchased a Marbles Outdoor Axe from them because they are the only Canadian company to have the item in stock (or so they say).

All that has happened since I put my order through is me getting a confirmation of my order and an "awaiting fulfillment" tag. So they sold me an item that was not in stock.

Then they do not answer. Ever. Phone goes straight to voicemail, forget about e-mail replies. They do not even answer Paypal disputes, which is going to be your only way of getting any refund from this criminal company.

NEVER ORDER FROM THEM.

Avoid at all costs. They don't update their website and when you email them to confirm that product is in stock they tell you that it is in their inventory. You place the order and they call telling you that they're sold out. They offer alternative which they describe to you and when you agree they send the wrong item. Atrocious customer service. Owner should be brought up on charges. Can't believe they are still allowed to operate with numerous bad reviews with the BBB. Never will I do business with these bottom feeding scammers again, nor should you. BEWARE!!!!

I placed an order with this store for an Eberlestock pack that showed to be "in-stock". The total came to $338,23 with shipping. I completed the payment, then the waiting began. After a few days of seeing "awaiting fulfillment" I tried calling them, and calling them, and calling them. I finally got a person on the line and they were of no help and said it was coming from their overstock warehouse. I asked for a refund and was told no. Needless to say, 31 days later PayPal had to give me a full refund. There are so many reviews just like this one. Read them, believe them, do NOT shop here. They also scam Canada Post, so if you have had dealings with these guys and have had issues, report them. There is an on-line petition at Change.org to ask Consumer Protection to come down on unethical businesses like this one. Jeff Schwartz the owner needs to be held accountable for taking people's money.

My name is Shawn from Calgary and I ordered a product from this so called company and wow, what can I say, they say they have this product in stock and I ordered it on my Mastercard but they dont have the product and have not shipped the product. I ordered this on Jan 23rd and today is Feb 10th and still nothing. This company is a waste of time so if you want to spend your money wisely, DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE GUYS AS YOU WILL BE WAITING A LONG TIME TO RECIEVE YOUR PRODUCT. Ordering from this company was a complete waste of time and now I have to enter a credit card dispute process with these guys just to get my money back. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this company because if you dont, DONT SAY I NEVER WARNED YOU! I actually feel really sorry for all the people that are ordering product(s) from this company as they are in for a shock. I will never bother with them again and its my guess that it will be just a matter of time before these buffoon's run this company into the ground and will have to close their doors due to competence issues and a lack of business sense. This Hero Outdoors Company is a joke. Honestly folks, I have no idea how these guys have been in business as long as they have!

I bought (8) items on line at Hero Outdoor without checking any reviews prior to, I should have!!

About the 10 of December 2020 I put in my order. After 2 weeks and receiving noting I wrote a first message as requested on their site to find out more about the status of my order and 6 weeks later still no answer. Same with a second message 2 weeks ago still no answer.

Also after 2 weeks I phone once to find out that NONE of the 8 items were in stock all BO. I been asked to give it another 2 weeks. The 8th Jan, I phone again and a week later and finally, I got a box with 4 out of 8 of the items. 4 items were Back Order! I phone to inquire to be told that (2) of the items they were not going to get them (all from China anyway). Mike told me I was going to get a refund... I end up phoning every 2nd day until I spoke to John. I end up phoning at least 15 times!! On the second call to John he give me an In-Store credit and started to look into my case. I finally reach him again after 4 more calls and then he call me back from their warehouse to tell me that he had found two similar items as I wanted (8) weeks ago. John was very helpful and got my order out that day with my items.

Amazon, I order and 48 hours after maybe less I get my stuff.

Mike seems like he wants to help but seems limited from what he can do. John was receptive and helpful, Thanks John

They are selling online all kinds of gear that hunters, shooters are looking for BUT, they have nothing in stock!! (They order their items from Asia/ China and you have to wait 6-8 weeks to get it. May as well order myself from Aliexpress and Ebay and save some money

Finally you receive your box with loose item and NO bill.

They must have been better before years ago but they are now overwhelmed.

1- Sell less items but have them in stock
2- If people write to you, answer to their request!!

Good luck you are going to need it to survive!!

Took $550, could not produce the part ordered....would not refund the amount....DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM.

It's simple: Don't do business with them. They are crooks.

What a joke this place is, ordered a "blowout special" that was listed as a new item, shows up with an open box and broken to the point it was not usable at all. When I tried to contact them they would not respond to any emails or phone calls.

I would NEVER suggest anyone to buy from this place due to their horrible customer service. The only way I could get my money back is by filing a PayPal dispute and paying out of my own pocket to ship it back.

I order a paintball gun, waited 3 week nothing, than I called . They told me the gun I order isn't being made anymore. So I had to pick it out. I needed it for the following Friday, so they switch the gun to another one. Got it two days shipping from the us to there store. They told me they shipped it . 3 days go later I get a email and Canada Post will deliver . Now I missed my tornament. They told me it would be here by Thursday and they shipped it thursday. What a bunch of a**hole
