Really unhelpful company who just told…

Really unhelpful company who just told me to buy another printer. As if I would buy from HP again. Had a deskjet 2630, which has just started jamming up every time I try to print, and I've not had this issue before. I tried resetting, tried cleaning the rollers with a little isopropyl alcohol, but this seemed the excuse to not receive any service or help from the customer service operator. Been paying for HP instant ink too so what a waste. Think twice about buying a HP printer in the future. Perhaps the scanning feature is the only thing that remains working, but photocopying and printing just causes paper jams for no reason. The HP website is horrible and doesn't lead to any solutions. HP on facebook at least they respond quickly, but then again it's just the same run around, although the last guy was helpful in getting me a black cartridge sent out that should have been sent out when I inserted my last, but was not. He sorted out, so I am grateful.

I think I owed a HP printer many years ago which faced in ink blur problems and I was using compatible cartridges at the time and they STILL helped, and I paid £10 to HP and they replaced it even when it was out of warranty. Something must have changed. Customers must not account anymore and it's a shame. Has put me off now.

So far so good

This year, after a disastrous experience with another brand, I bought an HP laptop online.
I recieved it next morning, very fast delivery. Some minor problems with invoicing, solved quickly and smoothly.
I did not have any problems with the laptop so far I decided to write this feedback, although it seems that there is nothing special, with another company these could turn into big problems.

Very poor experience

My recent experience with HP UK has been delivery delays, products that failed (one within 2 hours) and awful customer support. I’m utterly fed up with having to engage with them. Shop elsewhere.

Bought a 17.3" laptop some 8 years ago

Bought a 17.3" laptop some 8 years ago, screen went awol after 7 months and they wouldn't accept a warrenty claim...
Swore i'd never use them again but last year i got talked into spending £800 on another laptop... 15 months on some letters on the keyboard are now failing to print on screen...
I'm out of their so called warranty period but with spending that kind of money i'd expect lifespan of at lest 5-8 years!
If you are looking for good customer service or an item that is fit for purpose and will last, look elsewhere!

Purchased a new printer that has proven to be faulty it seems HP have a service support system that makes it impossible to contact or speak with anyone. The virtual agent is a con, seems incapable of recognising the problem and sole purpose just to frustrate customer. They bare the worst service support I've ever come across. Even one star or bad is to good for this company, avoid where possible

HP green? ... don't make me laugh

I have an old business laptop (8470p) which I have lost the bios password for. HP always would support people who this had happened to, until apparently a year a go they had a change of policy (not communicated) and decided they just wouldn't any more. The policy means that a perfectly serviceable machine might in effect become a door stop. I am not sure how this is aligned with EU and UK policies about not wasting and throwing away electronics.

What has happened to Hp, crooks and scammers

What has happened to Hp. gone down the good old USA of sell and forget it seems.
They have no customer service at all, I have a regular printer fault, it gives me an error code but there si no one to contact about it.
Virtual agent? please dont make me laugh , no virtual agent ever solved anything.

Also their instant ink is a criminal scam , they can disable cartridges so you cannot drop out the plan and run down supplies, everything you have bought is disabled over night and cannot be 'run down'. You get the impression that Donald trump is on their board such is their total indifference to poor reports on customer service

HP Deskjet 3760 - Possibly the most infuriating printer in the world, or close

A tiny printer that is so over-clever that it requires the user to engage in constant research of online faqs, help manuals, etc just to get it to print a single document - day after day. Have it hard wired and available for wi-fi, but neither approaches seem to work for an hour or so, then all of a sudden, it starts to print. Oh, for the days when you simply clicked "print" to get the job done. I always look for the best in everything, but this is a truly awful piece of uber-technical junk. Why did we have to lose so much of what was good about the old days????

Bought a PC for over £1,000 and after 3…

Bought a PC for over £1,000 and after 3 months, the PC would would crash and restart when trying to play any graphics intensive games. I immediately suspected the NVIDIA graphics card was failing (not HP's fault!). Even though it was Sunday, I was able to us their WhatsApp chat funtion to raise a case, and they arranged to pick up the PC via the delivery company DPD. 48 hours after collection, they delivered the PC back by DPD, with a note to say they had replaced the graphics card. Works perfectly again. No fuss, no hassle, super quick turn around. Can't ask for more than that. Superb job guys. I will only buy PCs from HP going forward as you have earned my trust.

They were brilliant with a laptop repair, 5* customer service, I would literally buy a HP laptop again because of the service I got with 1 month warranty left.

HP printer free ink con for existing customers
Just ordered a new HP printer which states 2 months free ink. I already have a plan for ink on my existing HP printer, apparently they will not pause my payments to my current plan so as a loyal existing customer you lose out on the free ink for 2 months.

HP are awful in product and sales

HP are awful in product and sales. Faulty printer returned and they withheld refund because returned to a different depot than what they wanted which was organised by them to send to, and that was after they organised collecting it off me with a printed address label, you couldn't make it up. Had a HP Laptop that didn't last 2 and half years which wasn't used greatly. Customer online help service which is designed not to help by having someone to find and talk to to resolve their faulty products, but generic questions going round and round in circles to no conclusion. Now use ASUS and DELL and really wish never used HP. Simple solution AVOID HP.

I will never buy another HP product

I will never buy another HP product. They used to be a first class company but won’t be around much longer when you read these reviews. Bought an HP Envy 6032 printer last April and tried in vain to sign up for instant ink. I was told the printer was new to the market so I was unable to sign up. Ran out of ink and months on I can’t get ink in shops or online. Unbelievable!

Poor service from HP

I purchased a printer 2 weeks ago from Currys and tried to register for the £15 cash back and free ink cartridge service for 4 months, I had to get a code for both of these and my printer wouldn't print the code< i followed all the advise that's on the website but nothing worked. I spoke to HP for over an hour who told me there was a problem within HP and my printer wouldn't circulate the code so to call back another day, I did this and after explaining my issue the lady i spoke to hung on me. I also contacted HP promotions separately to say that my printer wasn't given me a code so I was unable to apply for the promotion, chased both departments and no one got back to me. Please please can 1 person call me back to sort both of the above things. I've been given several different numbers and emails to contact and no one replies. Thanks

Simply dreadful

I like their products but can't believe quite how bad the service has been with my order. First of all they didn't send the order, but forgot to tell me there was a delay. Then they didn't know when it would be back in stock, so I chose another product. Then they told me I couldn't change the existing order, but had to place a new order and they would cancel the original one. They did, and sent me a cancellation note, but still sent the duplicate. I have now spent the last month trying to get them to collect it, so I can get a refund. I would never by direct from them again. All a sign of a business that has outsourced its service and doesn't have the processes to manage it. The people on the phone are nice enough, but they can't really control the situation and are probably fed up with answering the phone to irate customers. Simply BAD, BAD, BAD but with 80% of reviews being 1star (and that is generous) I should have checked here first - trusted the name, which was a mistake.

I will never buy a Hewlett Packard…

I will never buy a Hewlett Packard printer or anything of theirs ever again. The printer constantly saying there is a problem with the cartridges. Check the tape covering the nozzles has been removed. I have endlessly cleaned them, cleaned in the printer, switched on and off, bought more cartridges at £15 each and they do not work either. Their instant ink plan where you pay £2 a month for a service that cannot help once the printer is giving this message.
I have spent way more money on new cartridges and the instant ink plan than the printer itself.
The glowing reviews are from people when they have first bought it and it works for a little while.
Absolutely hopeless. I will have to throw the whole printer which is so environmentally unsound.

Steer clear of HP products

I have the misfortune to own a HP Envy 55400 Printer/Scanner. It is undoubtedly the worst computer peripheral I have ever owned. I had dot matrix printers 20+ years ago which were better and more reliable.

Nothing is simple or easy for the HP Envy 5540. From the moment you switch it on, it is a constant fuss, litany of problems and constant remedial action required.

Problems with the ink cartridges, problems with the printer carriage, problems with paper jams etc. Most of the time the problems are phantom and its just that the device gets itself into a fankle which then requires constant intervention to resolve.

The problems are so common I often feel like a repair man instead of a printer owner. Succesfully printing 1 black and white sheet is a major accomplishment for the device.

When working from home, I have now resolved just to use pdf editing software to comment on and modify documents rather than print hard copies. I would recommend everyone does this to save money on ink and frustration generally.

HP Officejet Pro 8024

Purchased a HP Officejet Pro 8024 in March and nobody has had ink cartridges for them not even HP.
HP didn't want to know and as for PC World they won't take it back and refund me despite selling me an unfit for purpose printer. It is a strain being a consumer these days! I will never use HP again and i will never again go to PC World.
