Don't buy a Hayubike
I bought the Haybike Citrun. When I put it together I noticed that the forks were extremely loose. I bought the bike the middle of November it has now been a month since I purchased it and I still can't ride it. Bad customer service, they don't seem to stock any parts in the US everything comes for China

Heybike EC1 - great lightweight e-bike for commuting and leisure trips
I recently purchased a medium Heybike EC1 after a lot of research and following the demise of my previous 30 year old mountain bike to which I'd added an electric front hub kit about 6 years ago.
Due to taking our bikes on holiday on our campervan, weight and a removable battery were big factors and the Heybike EC1 certainly delivers on that score.
Its looks/aesthetics are also a big plus point for me. The slimline battery and frame, hidden cabling and hybrid style don't scream electric bike which gives some added reassurance from a security point of view. I have also invested in Litelok X1 and alarmed Oxford D-locks to physically protect my new pride and joy.
Whilst I have only been out on it a couple of times, my first impression is that the EC1 rides well and it's certainly a step-up in quality from my previous, much heavier bike. We live at the top of a sizeable hill which poses no problem at all, although I did need the maximum power setting (3/3) and the lowest gear. The medium size is just right for me at 5 foot 10 inches tall. I've not encountered any toe-overlap at the front or caught my feet on my rear pannier bags, but if you are much taller I'd look at the large size.
So far, I've only needed to contact customer services with one minor query which they sorted out very promptly.
All in all, whilst it's obviously early days, I am very pleased with my purchase, which was good value, including mudguards, lights and a rear rack and basket.
My only slight reservation is the paint finish, which looks great in matt black but could be thicker. Despite me being careful in these first few days, it has already picked up a few dinks and scratches. However, it's not enough to alter my high opinion of the bike overall and it's possible that these scratches wouldn't show so much on the other colours of the EC1.

Had a couple of issues with a scratch and with programming LCD display but contacted Heybike support and they assisted me in a very quick, professional way and I am happy to say issues resolved within 2 days. Bike great, very happy customer
On off button broke
On off button broke, can see other customers have had the same issue. Looks like I’ll need to wait an age for a new part from China and weirdly pay customs fees. :(
Regretting purchase.
My Heybike Experience
After doing a lot of research on electric bikes, I decided to go for Heybike down to value for money and a good travel range. A lot I had looked at in this price bracket were only giving up to 50km whereas Heybike were listing up to 100km.
Was really impressed with the bike when it arrived, superfast delivery. However mine had slight cosmetic damage. Build quality looks great and having the wires hidden definitely helps the look of the bike.
The cosmetic damage issue was resolved to my satisfaction by Jane at Customer Services.
Would totally recommend purchasing a Heybike.
Catastophic Fork Failure
Whilst cycling behind slow moving traffic approx 3 mph, my bike went from under me causing me to fall. Luckily I was not run over. Took bike to cycle shop, where it was found the fork stem had snapped, causing catastrophic failure. I emailed support at Heybike with documentary photos etc asking them to repair bike under Guarantee as only received bike April 2024. The bike shop from whom I purchased bike from also emailed & phoned Heybike to honour guarantee, but thus far they are refusing to & expect me to pay £150 for new set of forks. I don't know where else to turn now as after several more emails they are steadfast in their decision

Fantastic E-Bike Purchase Experience and Outstanding Support!
In June I purchased an EC-1 and couldn’t be happier with the entire experience. The quality of the e-bike is very good and fantastic value for money. It exceeded my expectations for an e-bike in terms of performance and design. I have many road and mountain bike and this is first e-bike. The support team and especially Jane was incredibly helpful answering all my questions. I did however have a couple of issues which have been quickly sorted by Jane and so will not detract from my 5 star review. I highly recommend a Heybike e-bike and having a removable battery is essential! Thank you for all the support.

Excellent Heybikes
After doing alot of research on electric bikes my husband and i both decided to order heybikes. It was a very easy ordering process on their website and the bikes were delievered promptly. Both bikes were very well packaged when they arrived however some damage had been caused whilst in transit. A quick email to customer services who quickly rectified all the issues and sent replacement parts for both bikes. A big thank you to Jane for all your help to solving our issues quickly. The bikes are fantastic and we are confident we made a good choice. They are lightweight and really comfortable to ride.
