They cant do any think right.
I asked for a referral a friend code so myself and my friend could get £50 Amazon vouchers each. My friend said the code did not work phoned up hey broadband and they reply was the code would not work because myself needs to speak to the person who referred me. I try to explain and to say that no one referred me as I took a broadband on myself. I am trying to a refer,friend can’t do nothing right

We’re sorry to hear about the confusion around our Refer a Friend scheme.

To clarify, referral codes need to be linked to an existing Hey!Broadband customer (the referrer). If a code doesn’t work at sign-up, the referrer must contact us with their account details so we can validate and apply it correctly. This must be done within 90 days of installation, as outlined in our terms.

We understand this may not have been clearly explained at the time, and we appreciate your feedback.

If there is anything further we can support with, kindly email info@heyb.co.uk with the referrer and referee's HB code so we can clearly look into your account. I did try to request more info for you so I could check and get back to you here but unfortunately I didn't hear back from you.

UPDATE: 28/4: Hi Steve, having looked at your account which our team had been able to look into, we can see your RAF voucher was sent yesterday. We can also see you have redeemed your voucher. We are not at fault here as your cooling period was ending 2/5/2026 and vouchers are paid at the end of the calendar month of your cooling period. In this case, that would've been end of May. This is all outlined in our refer a friend terms and would highly recommend you read through to avoid confusion in the future when referring. We would really appreciate you updating your review. Thanks.

4 days and still no Internet

4 days! How can you provide no Internet for 4 days? Every day your poor support team say "we're told it will be back by 5pm" and each day at 5pm I get a message about "circumstances beyond our control". I just want Internet. It can't be that hard, can it? My friends and neighbours seem to have Internet. I cannot wait for my contract to end!

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE. WOULD GIVE NO STARS IF I COULD.
This company have taken out their services at my property without my knowledge but in my neighbours name. She signed up to them at her address after pushy doorstop selling, she then cancelled within the permitted timescale, they have then made another account at my address in her name. I am now receiving debt collector letters at my home with my neighbours name. Hey Broadband have been informed numerous times by my neighbour this is incorrect but they still persist. I have sort legal advise and they do not have a leg to stand on but unfortunately they continue to hound my property.

Being hassled for unknown charge 6 months after cancelling

I am extremely shocked by the service I've had during my 2 yr contract. I had to call them out several times due to me getting no signal/interference. I wanted to cancel, but was still in my contract. So I asked for a cancellation date and sat back waiting for it. During this time I was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer of my esophagus. I've barely been home this last year spending over 8 months in total in hospital after 5 operations. I rang to cancel Heybroadband last August/September. I was told, no problem, a box would arrive for me to send back the router. Which I did. I'm now in a hospice after 5 months in hospital. Over the last 3-4 weeks I've been getting continues calls from Heybroadband saying I have an outstanding bill. I've asked them to explain where this has come from, as I've had no letters or emails telling me this. And should I received a final bill when I cancelled?
I've asked a number of times, sent emails, even to the complaints department 3 days ago. All I keep getting is text saying I am going to be past on to debt collectors.
Am I asking too much for an explanation? I am still very unwell, and this is seriously stressing me out. There are no managers or supervisors to talk to or email? I feel they've just plucked this figure out of thin air. Why wasn't I told at the time of cancelling? Why wait 5 months to stay hassling me?
I just don't know what to do! It's not a massive amount, but I'm not paying until they can provide a breakdown etc.
Any advice please?

Great internet but they play hardball at renewal

Great internet but they play hardball when the two year contract is up and you want a good price, failing to offer the current advertised packages to a continuing customer until after I'd handed in my notice.

£90 equipment return fee error

I returned my equipment early as per instructions and Hey broadband have decided to bill me regardless.

This is after they also billed me for early termination after being made homeless by the passing of a loved one.

Awful company with no compassion, now I have to contact them yet again to resolve a money issue despite no monetary loss to them and me being a customer of 3 years.
