I signed up not realizing that this is…
I signed up not realizing that this is a paid membership. I asked to be unsubscribed and couldn't for far too long. I got nothing out of this and was quite frankly really pissed that I had to continue. They need to fix this issue instead of getting rich off people.
HeyMama is a very supportive community…
HeyMama is a very supportive community for women who are in a constant juggle of owning or building a business and being a mother. Their in person events are my absolute favorite!
HeyMama has been an amazing positive…
HeyMama has been an amazing positive impact in my life since I joined. Connecting with other like minded hard working moms has been a crucial support system for me. My own mom did not work, and it has taken years to get her to understand that my work is my choice and my passion. Being able to connect with other women who get it, get that working is wonderful, is a lifeline!
Unethical membership practice
I "applied" to learn more about this group in August of 2021 off a Facebook ad. Again, the message was that I was applying to learn more about this group. Before I received any information I was billed. Confused, I reached out to ask for more information and a refund until I made a decision about this group being a good fit. At this time I was sent a cold, templated message that my request was not possible and that I had agreed to a yearly subscription. This felt very manipulative, and didn't leave a positive impression.
This summer I had my assistant write to you to ensure my monthly bill was canceled prior to the year mark. We received no response from your team, and now it appears I've been locked into another year and billed again.
I received a templated response which now is providing me with an option to PAY to cancel. As a business owner, I am quite surprised at the lack of personalization or concern for these membership and billing practices.
The experience was not what I expected
The experience was not what I expected. There were mostly MLM owners who tried to pass themselves off as business executives. As the CEO of a medium sized business, we are not in the same league. Also, the membership was hard to cancel and the response I received was cagey.

This was the very best gift for my sons birthday!!!! We listen to the song daily and it’s so very special!
A highly impactful community...
The HeyMama Community has hugely impacted my life in that is has connected me with some of the most amazing women! My book, A Little Less of a Hot Mess, was published by The Collective Book Studio, which is led by HeyMama member, Angela Engel. Writing the book has given me so much purpose, direction, and opportunity - and I'm not sure I would have had the courage to challenge myself in this way (in the middle of a freaking global pandemic) if I didn't know you were all right there challenging yourselves to keep showing up as the best/most authentic versions of yourselves. I remember a few years ago, when I was feeling particularly lost in early motherhood, my therapist said to me "Kaitlin, it just may be that there isn't a seat at the table for you, because it's not the right table...find your table." To which I said, "I'm looking, but I just can't seem to find it. It feels like I'm the only one who wants something different than this day-to-day survival mode thing we're all doing." My therapist then said, "well, then build it." HeyMama was my first step towards building my "table," and while we may be only connected virtually, it has been such a source of inspiration and support for me along the way!
I recently joined HeyMama a few months…
I recently joined HeyMama a few months ago. I attended an event in Seaport and wasn't sure what to expect. But it was run so well and was full of great connections! I loved how at the beginning we were free to mingle, introduce ourselves to people and shop. But then to end the night with like minded woman around a circle to discuss different challenges you may be facing or accomplishments you may have achieved was so beneficial. I look forward to the many more events they put on in the future!

I really value HeyMama being private -- makes sharing and networking feel safe. Having a Motherhood layer is something that bonds me to these women, and I am all in to everything you all are doing at HeyMama.
I've been a member of HeyMama for five…
I've been a member of HeyMama for five years now, and it's been one of the best organizations I've ever been a part of, hands down. Not only is it a great network to meet some amazing moms in all different stages of that motherhood journey, it's also been wonderful in terms of making connections on many personal and professional levels. So proud to be part of this rockstar group!
A great way to connect + collaborate!
HeyMama is filled with so many amazing women! But the opportunity to connect and collaborate is what has inspired me to recommend it to so many other mamas! I love the new posts feature so we can ask questions and connect with likeminded women. So helpful!

HeyMama is a great community of mothers. I will say in the last 3 months I have made over 10 personal connections with either women looking for jobs, women looking for 3PLs, I have utilized chefs, naturopaths, Financial Advisors, etc. in the community. So we are all winning. Thank you!
The most important organization for working moms
This support system is so needed and valued!
I am a huge fan girl of HeyMama
I am a huge fan girl of HeyMama! I feel so supported by this group of women in starting my fledgling brand. Plus, I met my social media marketer at a HeyMama meetup, and met an LC and a nurse who both signed on to help me launch my parenting app. And the crazy thing is this has all happened virtually during the pandemic - - I feel so close to all of them, it’s insane we haven’t even met face to face!
HAYVN Coworking - LOVED collaborating with HeyMama
HeyMama recently hosted a fun dynamic networking event at HAYVN Coworking. Seeing HeyMama and specifically Penny Goffman, Head of Community, in action was uplifting. Penny works hard to foster a real sense of community and peer support amongst members during HeyMama events. She clearly articulated the values of the community, gave members plenty of space to share their story and express their needs and facilitated members supporting each other. HAYVN loved collaborating with HeyMama and we look forward to the next event together. Thoroughly recommend HeyMama to all working mom's out there!
