HeyMama is the BEST network, I've gaind so much and have broaden my inner circle substantially.
HeyMama is the BEST network and I am so proud to be a member with other high caliber women who are making an impact! xoxo
Great for hiring and connecting with high-caliber working moms
I’ve connected with great potential hires through HeyMama and have benefited from the programming! It’s a very thoughtful community. As a fellow community builder I know how much love, blood, tears and sweat goes into this, and have been really impressed with the team. I’d say HeyMama is really fantastic if you’re looking for a relatively large (vs niche) community, although, they do offer many opportunities to connect based on shared backgrounds and interests.
I was very appreciative of what HeyMama…
I was very appreciative of what HeyMama has to offer. I made a few incredible connections, my main issue is that there are so many women trying to connect and get their product or service out there that it gets lost in the communication.
I am focusing more on connecting in person and in my area. I am forever grateful for the HeyMama services and I may join again. There would be in person events but somehow I would miss the memo. Grateful to have this tool during the pandemic.
Maybe a little more leniency.
Hi, I want to be honest about this feedback because I genuinely want to support for businesses that invest in women; however, the experience that I had with HeyMama from the outset was poor. I'm a stay at home mom with aspirations to start a business someday, so when I entered into a trial period with HeyMama, I was doing it to check it out and get a flavor for the offerings. The unfortunate place where I screwed up was not reading the fine print because the trial offering was instead a full-year contract at $35 a month. When I contacted you requesting a break, you didn't give one.
It's fine that you have OH to pay for and I get that with running a business like this, contract terms are critical for projecting cashflow. Perhaps you should be a bit more lenient with your contract terms on newcomers. If your platform and offering is extraordinary, then they will return. Unfortunately, I haven't made up my mind if its worth returning to or not.
Overall it's been a great experience and 4 stars is only because...
HeyMama has been an incredible space to connect with other parents, professionals, entrepreneurs and women. Although the initial experience during the lockdown was great, it became harder to navigate through the sheer volume of postings and conversations or at least to feel up-to-date. Perhaps conversations categorized further could feel more cohesive but not my expertise so I don't know the exact solution.
Overall, it would be great to access by category or topic (without it just being a search term) could be helpful or perhaps by location or state? My purpose in joining HeyMama was to connect, network and meet more like hearted woman that I could work/ collaborate with as well as potentially help with my experience.
The digital events were nice as well but also would be great to be able to refer back to some those or individuals if possible.
Overall it's been a great experience and 4 stars is only because I felt I needed to open up time to re-engage in the HeyMama community. I appreciate and love all the hard work and amazing people that have been gathered in this space.
Thank you.
Like it! Meeting some interesting entrepreneurs
Pretty great! Just wish there was an app and also on the website wish there was a direct message option. Hard to find emails sometimes!
Great access, member engagement opportunities
The community access is great. The time and space to leverage the access requires intentionality. I believe in the mission. I’d like to see more inclusive execution. The audience that I have connected with have been awesome. Suggestions for improvement: have “community mentors” for each new member or each disengaged member - these mentors should be compensated so it’s not a voluntold group. It’ll be great to have a RX type prescribed engagement goals based on needs to join a community and have said “mentor” be the accountability partner. While I’ve been a member for over a year, I know there’s massive potential with affiliation, but I haven’t maximized it. Majority of that is on me. On the part of the brand, the focus seems more on growing membership (website design) vs member retention. I’ve noticed less engagement and interaction once we went to the app. What was great about the google groups was an easy way to get a digest and search thousands of conversation for something someone already asked. Keep up the effort! I’m still a fan.

I was unable to pay my monthly fees due to my husband losing his job due to covid and no one from hey mama contacted me or reached out to me with concern. My membership just expired due to non-payment.

There is a lot of focus on entrepreneurs, especially with this years summit and I’d like to see more corporate mama content.
I was unaware that when I signed up to…
I was unaware that when I signed up to be a part of the community, that I was bound for one year. I was unable to make many of the events because of competing priorities; I requested a cancellation but was denied. Basically, I purchased a membership that served no purpose, not to mention a waste of money. As a single mom, that did not bold well. The sign up needs to be clearer and have built in parameters to opt out if the community is not fit. I would have loved to try again next year, when things calmed down for me, but after this experience, I have no further interest.
Ask and Give
Hey Mama has been a great and supportive community. I love the values and the ask-and-give culture. I have been able to collaborate and help other members. I have connected with some moms and have some lifetime friends. I have enjoyed all the virtual events, looking forward to more in person and looking forward to using the new platform.

The company won’t let me cancel my membership. I canceled the membership last month, but they keep charging me. And there’s another charge scheduled for next month. And they refuse to give me refund for this month, claiming that it takes 30 days to stop the charges. It’s unscrupulous and hypocritical for them to steal from a small Black woman owned business.

I really enjoy the quality and amount of workshops they offer. It's really a great value. It's also wonderful to connect with women around the country.
The best thing its given me
The best thing its given me, is the database of local professionals to connect with and the automatic trust/report it's possible to have with the other members when I need recommendations or want to ask for advice or partnership. I definitely do not have time to keep up with emails and appreciate the local meet ups primarily, the other content sounds amazing I just find I don't have time for it even if I meant to.

HeyMama is the best networking group I am part of. I love the members, the community and the opportunities. Very happy mama and business owner here.
Thank you!

Pretty Disconnected
I signed up but haven’t connected with many people and google emails I get are just a little confusing on what we’re suppose to do. I’ve responded a few times and although I didn’t expect to get immediate sales, for a networking group I was hoping it would increase my business sales or referrals and I could do the same for other mamas but right now my experience feels very disconnected if I’m being honest.
Networking for Techie Modern Moms
Great team, events, and community of ambitious moms.
HeyMama may need a refresh!
HeyMama is a good group, but seems to be slightly misguided currently. They have too many events, all over the place, and don't do a good job promoting them. I think they also are misreading their audience and should consider taking a step back to regroup. It also seems to be heavily skewed toward mom products and a mom audience rather than a working mom business group overall.
