Wheres me stuff

Well as its my first time making a purchase from
HiFi Hut i will hold back on my honest opinion as i am going to ring them tomorrow to see when i can expect the two speakers i paid for three weeks ago, i did email them after two weeks and got a quick response to tell me how busy they were with online orders and i thank them for that, but i will say that they should tell you if an item is not in stock BEFORE you pay for it, so that said i will update my review when i hear what they have to say when i ring them tomorrow 29 SEPT 2020
So this is tomorrow 29th sept rang hifi hut today to be told there was no new update as to when my order would arrive maybe the end of oct, i was asked if i wanted to cancel and get a refund after almost a month waiting so i told stevie i would see if i could get them elsewhere first he seemed confused as to what to say to me but said it was not their normal customer service, i really hope not

Hi Dave,

My apologies for not seeing this sooner and for the delays on your order.

The last 6 months have been really difficult for our whole industry because of the knock-on supply problems caused by rolling lock-downs across the world. Where previously we could reliably say that we would have a product within 48 hours, now we could be told 2 weeks only for that to change 2 months and then a random portion of the order arrive in 3 weeks later without our prior knowledge. It's incredibly difficult to deal with but we have significantly increased our local stockholding to help with distributor shortages and things are getting better week by week.

Unfortunately problems still remain, both with manufacturers and with local couriers, that we have very limited control over but we are always on the end of the phone or email to answer any questions and keep everyone updated.

I'm told you should have recieved your speakers by now so I hope you're getting plenty of enjoyment out of them. If you need anything else in future we'll look after you with an extra discount as a goodwill gesture on account of the unexpected delay.

Absolutely brilliant experience

Absolutely brilliant experience both price, speed of delivery and customer support post purchase. Any issue was quickly picked up over email/phone and a resolution found.

Definitely recommend to anyone looking for audio gear at very competitive prices and with top tier support.

Stress Free Experience

I have dealt with Hi Fi Hut twice recently. Ordered online and collected the same day both times. Very happy with the items and the service received. Would use them again.

Would recommend

Would have given this 5 stars but there was a pricing issue so I ended up paying a little extra. Steve handled the situation very well and offered an alternative projector when it was apparent there would be a delay but I ended up waiting for my original purchase. Overall a pleasant experience with a professional service, I will definitely consider buying from hifi hut agsin

So much better than expected

Fast and accurate pre-sales support.
Smooth and reliable order and delivery.
I just received my floor-stand speakers (2x20kg) with free UPS delivery (from Ireland to Greece).
The service they provided in the whole process was so much better than I expected. Thanks guys!

If you don't have it in stock, say so

Earlier in the comments another customer had exactly the same problem 'they take your money then tell you they don't have product' 3 years later and clearly nothing has changed. Got an email after I ordered saying the product wasn't in stock. Why not just be honest and state clearly. 'Not in stock' so that customers can go to a supplier who does have it in stock.

UPDATE
Daniel at HiFi hut replied to my review, saying that in the interest of clarity he would break down events as he felt my characterisation of them was unfair. So here is the email I received minutes after placing my order. You can make your own mind up whether I'm being unfair or whether I actually held back on the whole might have to order it from the UK.

Thank you for your recent order. The Yamaha R-N402 is not an item that we keep in stock at our Dublin store. This item will be ordered from Yamaha's Irish distributor when they re-open tomorrow. If the item is in stock then we should be able to despatch your order later this week. In the event that the unit is out os stock, it will have to be ordered from yamaha UK. We will advise on availability once we hear back from Yamaha Ireland.

Hi Paul,

Thank you for taking my call. I am very sorry that you feel this way and I’ll reiterate that we have taken steps to avoid a re-occurance.

In the interest of clarity for anyone reading your review I’m going to break down the events as I feel your characterisation of us is unfair.

You placed an order at 4.35pm. At 4.48pm one of our staff emailed you to let you know that this item was one that was stocked at a local distributor who were closed for the day, but that we would confirm in the morning when they re-opened. Admittedly, this did mention the possibility of obtaining stock from the UK should there be a lack of Irish supplies. You replied that we should cancel the order, which we did immediately and issued a refund at 4.56pm, just 21 minutes after your order.

The following morning, after confirming that the unit was in stock in Dublin, I called you to offer to personally drop it to you that day which you subsequently declined.

For the record, had you allowed us to wait until the morning you would have recieved your item in under 48 hours, which is less than the 3-5 day lead time we advise on our website for that product.

Your main gripe, as I understand, is that you have to wait a number of days before the refund clears back onto your card. On that point I can only reiterate that this period is totally controlled by your own bank/card provider. We agree that it seems an unreasonable time to wait but we actioned everything within our control within minutes.

I genuinely hope you get your amp as soon as possible, from whomever you chose to purchase, it from and that you get plenty of enjoyment out of it.

Recently upgraded my stereo system to a Yamaha RN 602 Amp, Dali Zensor 5 speakers and Yamaha Network streaming CD player.
The Guys in Hi Fi Hut Dublin couldn't have been more helpful.
I received my items very quickly and the Guys answered all my questions.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Hi Fi Hut Dublin to any one who is serious about Hi Fi

From an international customer

I bought an amplifier and a pair of speakers from HiFiHut hut because their price for them was highly competitive, even with other shops that sell by Internet. They are in Ireland. Being myself also in EU (Spain) I had to pay no custom fees and the VAT is paid when buying so the advertised web prices are final prices. Also, shipping was free since my order over 500 €. Time to deliver was 10 days, part of it due to HiFiHut had to order the speakers and wait for them. Good were exactly as expected; I am testing them now and everything is working fine. Customer attention is very good; I sent two e-mails with questions previous to the delivery and they were properly answered almost immediately. In my opinion this company does a great job.

Perfect service

I ordered a WiFi speaker from their webpage. The ordering process was smooth and easy, on the next day I received the pack, much earlier then expected.
Then I had an issue with the speaker during the warranty period and their customer service answered in minutes with every details what was needed to organize the repair.

I can highly recommend this shop.

Hi Roger. Normally we keep the product you ordered in stock, however due to the extremely high volumes of sales over the Black Friday weekend (20x normal levels) we ran out. We already had more on order so emailed you to advise that we were awaiting confirmation of when they were due to arrive.

We do apologise for the 24hr delay in contacting you with this info but we had hoped for confirmation from the manufacturer which had not come through.

We have an info box on every product page on the website with additional lead times on products so we advise everyone to check this if there are any current delays.

Your refund was processed immediately on request and I would like to clarify that we don't "take the cash" - all card payments are only pre-authorised for the first 7 working days. How long your card issuer takes to return the funds is outside of our control but this is the same for every retailer.

We hope that you would reconsider your rating given time for us to respond to your queries. We pride ourselves in our customer service and we certainly don't wish to see anyone unhappy with their experience with HifiHut.

Whether you are looking for Hifi, Home Cinema gear or other accessories to suit your system this is the place to be!

After a long search for a suitable place to demo Home Cinema equipment with leading brands I stumbled across HiFi Hut. I have been in store a few times and have talked over the phone, mostly dealing with Colin and Daniel. The customer service is fantastic with friendliness, product knowledge and time devoted to the customer, all being exceptional.

The guys have a demo area downstairs and a great dedicated room upstairs packed with top equipment. Whether you are looking for Hifi, Home Cinema gear or other accessories to suit your system this is the place to be. You can order online or pop in for a visit, either way you won't be disappointed!

Oh and the complimentary coffee isn't bad either!!

Brillant service and excellent advice

Stumbled across Hi-fi hut whilst browsing for new speakers, and im glad i did..
Their customer service is second to none and excellent advice led to purchasing the perfect pair of speakers.
Id highly recommend this company to anyone and look forward to doing business again.
