helpful clear quick guidance/delivery

I have already submitted my review when my trial ended but prior to doing so and since then I have been bombarded with phone calls from Higrid. They call daily begging you to leave a review, insisting it will really help them as they are a new company etc I thought leaving a review would stop this, unfortunately not. The calls continued, I told them to stop it but they continued, emailing as well. I had to block their number but still they try and just received another email begging me to review them. The mattress I received was at best, fine but due to this constant harassment I would not consider purchasing again! So just be careful of the customer service if considering purchasing. Hopefully someone in Higrid will read this as the telephone operator’s certainly don’t listen!

To be honest after i first ordered the Mattress and it did not come in the first fortnight and various emails that it would be delivered i thought i had been scammed.
But it did come eventually after more promises and dodgy looking emails and text messages from the delivery company,
To be honest i can now understand why a delivery person would not want to deliver then. what a weight they are my king size was the weight of three bags of cement from B&Q so get a strong person to lift it upstairs and put it on your bed frame.
On saying all that i will say it has changed my sleep for the better. i do not get the pains in my neck and shoulders that made my life a misery so for that alone i am now a happy chappy
The smell of the mattress takes a while to leave but overall i am more than happy that i bought this hybrid Japanese inspired mattress

I bought a luxe original mattress five months ago, it is the best investment ever. Initially I was slightly concerned because this is new company in the UK and it was a big investment. However it’s just the most comfortable mattress I have ever owned. Treat yourself you won’t regret it.

I fell for their marketing and had high exceptions. The double mattress is quite heavier than the other premium mattresses in the market and does not offer the same comfort nor retain its firmness after a couple of months.
The price, its advertised new Japanese technology and the ‘Made in UK’ tags attracted me to invest in their mattress.
As a couple, my wife and I are not overweight or obese and have still noticed an obvious dip in the area we sleep. And every month, they request a feedback to which I have said the same every time and have received no response regarding the issues.

I bought the Higrid mattress after reading a "Which?" review and seeing the discounted price offered on-line. I was also attracted by the "200 day return option", which is reassuring, as you cannot predict how a mattress will perform after a short period. (The only possible criticism is that it took longer than anticipated for the odour of the unfurled mattress to disappear.)

I am now very pleased with the mattress and my bad back has improved since using it.

We have had a mixed experience so far with HiGRID, but we are hopeful things will work out. This appears to be a small company who is trying very hard, but whose logistics are not yet strong enough to ensure a smooth experience for the customer. We've had trouble contacting them and two deliver dates were missed. But when our case was escalated (and we posted a negative review) they definitely began to do better in communication and in the end they hired a different third party delivery company who fixed the problem. (We think they need to improve their standard delivery company and would be happy to offer them specific suggestions that would have made our customer experience much better). So yesterday we received a "king size" ortho-essential mattress It has been "airing out" and "expanding" for 26 hours (with bedroom windows open) and the initial strong smell is slowly dissipating but still noticeable. It is advertised as being 20 cm but after 26 hours of expansion it is still only 18 cm deep. I don't think it will expand much more but if it does we will let you know. We hope to start sleeping on it tonight and are hopeful this will turn out to be a good product. We aren't sure yet but will let you know after we have spent some time sleeping on it. It's difficult to know how to rate our experience so far. As I said, it's mixed. Stay tuned.

Fantastic product .

This is by far the most comfortable mattress I have ever slept on. We were kept updated with the delivery process and was delivered in the alloted timeslot. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this product.

Bought after my son bought one. I chose the premium hybrid as I've been used to a firm mattress. No complaints, other than it's really heavy & I needed my son to help me move it.

I received the mattress today morning and after inspecting it i strongly feel maybe the mattress is not new and possibly used to some extent.

The claim that the mattress is 20 cms in thickness is false as the one i have here right now is about 14 cms thick even though i have left it aside for more than a week now.

Secondly upon unzipping the cover i can clearly see that the layers of foam are out of shape and has stains.

The proportion of the so called Smartgrid layer shown in the images is roughly about 35% of the thickness, it is a layer of blue gel like matt about only and inch and very unprofessionally applied with glue oozing under it..
This gel layer is not egde to edge and does not cover the entire top surface but is in two patched with cheap foam borders.

The base is very lumpy and uneven and it doesn’t fall flat on a bed and the corners stay curled up like a bowl and again hasnt changed even after a week while its been left to deflat.

I have to say I didn't like the mattress to begin with, probably because my previous mattress was so old there was no support! But I persevered, and treated myself to a sheepswool mattress topper and since then I've been sleeping really well.

I was attracted to this mattress by the technology, its UK credentials and Which and Health & Wellbeing awards. The 200 night guarantee was a factor too.

Excellent, product, price and probably the best mattress I've ever slept on

We’ve had the matress for 2 months now (Superking) and have had to buy a memory foam matress topper as it was so bouncy I felt l was on a trampoline every time my husband moved in the night. My daughter bought the top of the range IKEA matress recently and I think it’s just as good at £300 less. The company have also called me again and again to badger me to write a review. Well here it is. Overpriced. It’s comfy but needed adaptation to suit us. I wouldn’t buy one again.

The smartgrid technology in the memory foam mattress is very good. It gives good relaxation to my upper and lower back. With this my whole night sleep is very relaxing. Thanks for Higrid.

An excellent HiGRID Bed Mattress for my poorly back! After a few years of suffering with a single bed memory foam / back breaker of a mattress I decided to buy the single bed HiGRID Bed Mattress which promised to offer more back support etc. The mattress was very well packaged / delivered, with a FREE sample of one of the SmartGRID layers that makes up this excellent mattress. After a couple of nights my back pain eased significantly and I feel little pain at present. My investment in this mattress seems to have worked and if you do have back pain then this too could be the best orthopaedic mattress for you. Thank-you! :)

This looks a great product and being UK made encouraged us to buy it. The single mattress arrived safely and on time. We kept it as delivered for a couple of months as it had been bought for my elderly father in law who was moving to new sheltered accommodation.

The mattress was easy to unfurl and to set up.

So far the mattress is receiving a mixed view on some nights it is really comfortable on others (sleeping in a different position) it is less comfortable.

We will keep it for now and hope that he gets used to it as a new and slightly firmer mattress than he had previously.

I’ve had two spinal surgeries and have long lasting spinal issues now… I didn’t want a complete memory foam mattress as I find it difficult to turn over but I do love how memory foam has helped me deep sleep when I have slept a night on one… this hybrid type mattress is amazing. I get firm support but also contoured sleeping which is what my spine really needs. I sleep so well and as someone who has major trauma lumber issues I would recommend it to others.

The mattress is very comfortable!!
