I must start this review with a huge thanks to Hire Cars in Spain. The journey from start to finish was so easy and we were kept well informed throughout. After having some previous nightmares with car rental companies ripping us off and accusing us of dents that were clearly already on the car even with photo evidence, we searched The web and found the best company in my opinion. Hire car Spain have the best prices along with immaculate customer service, I will always use this company in future and recommend family and friends to do the same.

Have now used this service several times and on every occasion the experience has been great. Every time our car hire has been easily organised with full insurance cover and upon arrival to collect the car, there are therefore no hard sell tactics and you're not pressured to take any extras.
The car hire prices have always been reasonable and after bad experiences in the past trying to deal with car hire myself, I wouldn't ever now consider booking without using this service.

Excellent service yet again from Hire Cars in Spain.
We needed a small automatic car for our holiday in Alicante but always like to have full to full for fuel and all inclusive insurance and I was unable to obtain a full quote on the website. However after sending an e-mail with my requirements the rental was arranged within a couple of hours.

Like many other reviewers, I've been using HCIS for many years (since they were Dove Travel) for trips to mainland Spain and the islands, and have never been disappointed. Their prices are competitive and their service is first class. Their communication, whether by phone or by e-mail, is excellent. Martin, like Gordon before him, explains clearly, and takes care to understand exactly what I want. Even if I make mistakes in my booking details, he is always happy to listen and correct things. I always feel reassured that if anything were to go wrong while using the hire car, HCIS would be ready to help and advise. For instance, with HCIS excess insurance, if there were a need to make a claim, I am confident that HCIS would support me through the procedure.

This was my first time hiring and driving a car in Spain and I choose Hirecars due to their excellent online reviews.
I was not disappointed. Martin was excellent and extremely knowledgeable and efficient to deal with and gave me a couple of hire options. I spoke with him and he explained everything. Car provided was excellent for our needs and the whole experience went very smoothly.

Fantastic service! Hiring a car abroad is a minefield - prices are often deceptively cheap until you start adding things on at the desk and customer reviews of the companies themselves are not particularly helpful.

Martin helped me find the best deal for my specific needs (2 named drivers) and rebooked my order for me accordingly. He gave great advice on what to expect at the desk. He was also on had to support us with an insurance claim for a small scratch we picked up, which was seamlessly resolved. Would deffo use again for the assurance and peace of mind provided for what can be quite a stressful experience otherwise. Very happy customer.

Absolutely 1st class

Like a previous reviewer I was a little apprehensive about car hire in Spain. However I cannot praise Martin at Hire Cars in Spain enough. Every question answered promptly, offered alternatives to my first choice which I did infact decide to switch too. Explained difference between basic and full insurance which again I am glad I took the later out albiet not needed. On returning the car it was booked in within 2 minutes and my €60 full to full fuel deposit was reimbursed within 12 hours. Company used was Record Go who will also be getting a 5* review. Reason I mention full insurance is if you take basic, the booking back in process takes much longer as every inch of car gets checked.

So in a nutshell would definetly hire again through this company, thank you

Fantastic service from start to finish.Booked hire car for Alicante Airport (Record Go) for 1 week.
No hard sell at Airport for zero excess insurance.
Had taken full excess insurance out through Hire Cars in Spain at a fraction of the cost.
Customer Service by Record Go at Airport was excellent on arrival and departure.
Will certainly use your services for future trips abroad and will recommend your company to family and friends.

First time i have used this company for hire cars... The care which i had was more or less brand new. The desk was easy to find in the airport and straight forward in booking in and getting the car. Full to Full fuel, no hassle there. The deposit for the fuel money was back in my account the next day.... I did have a problem whilst out there, i managed to get a parking ticket for parking in a residence only parking area. (watch out for the straight white lines in the Benidorm area. Other areas vary as to the color of these lines) I did call HireCarsInSpain and the gentleman was very helpful and friendly a what was best to do. Would not hesitate in recommending them to anyone at all

I have used HCIS many times over the last few years as we have hired cars through them in order to visit our house in Torrevieja.
Martin and his dad have always been brilliant. On the few occasions that we have had problems, through no fault of HCIS, Martin has always been there for us and has sorted us out.
