i have pre ordered a Nendoroid from them a month before release, now keep in mind December and then January, once it was january there was the New Years japan thing right ? in the messages ((which took them days to answer)) they said around January 10-January 15 and even after January 15 they went and said "not in stock" when infact the listing had the December date and it was released in China, and Japan by other stores.

fast forward to January 24th when i recieved the "refund voucher" i decided to use it for a birthday present to a family member, we are now in the 1st february/midnight 31 january by the time this goes up and they didn't even send the package, "pick up for agent" and i clearly chose FedEx for this.

i have been buying from Hobby Genki for years and there are pre orders that i did still on the site and they have 0% human communication about shipping, very delayed communication messages and most of all embarassing contradictions about pre order items such as in stock-no stock, they had Hajime Hinata Nendoroid listing as pre order and then "few last in stock" in orange text on the listing when they told me that the item wasn't instock at January 16

you should know who i am by this TrustPilot message, my audience on Instagram is huge including news coverage of third party and i always ensure accuracy service and discuss with sellers.

very disappointed about you Hobby Genki, highly advise to not buy if you are from US and middle east, waiting for item to be shipped for long and delayed customer service and they do answer fast to people who has 10k+ instagram followers which that can be proven too.

Update: After posting my honest experience, Hobby Genki refunded me the purchase price. I amended my review to reflect this action.
I purchased an item ($100+) in November 2024. It was a pre-order, to be delivered in January 2025. It was postponed and remained so until I was informed I had to pay extra in August 2025 or it would not be shipped. I paid the extra $20. It was shipped through a different company, and I was told I had to pay $30 more for shipping again. When the company tried to deliver, the delivery person was sketchy and couldn't tell me where it was from, but demanded payment before giving me the package. When I couldn't confirm the sender, I did not accept the package and asked them to return the next day. They did not return w/ the package. I have been told to talk to UPS by Hobby Genki and told it was sent back to the company by UPS. More than a year and $150 later, I have no item and no refund.

Hobby Genki has become my number one go-to website for importing figures! Their quick response times for any kind of support I need is always very helpful. My orders are also always carefully packed so they’re not damaged during shipping.

The store has great pros:
Storage for unshipped items
Better prices in general
Enough servers to load during busy pre-order periods.
They also reply promptly to tickets and emails.

Not so good:
Sometimes wrapping isn't good enough to keep the items inside from sustaining some damage.
They take a long time to process once you've actually requested them to ship your unshipped items. Like Weeks.

I can't think of anything "Bad" bad,
They will allow you to cancel pre-orders through a ticket, but maybe a simple cancel button would be better.

Shipping costs are normal (at least for Europe) and the prices are very good. If you need a replacement part for a figure, they will try to find, I had no issues so far. Recommended site!

Been buying figures from Genki-Hobby for years now and have not had any issues at all. I'll continue to support their online store. Definitely a 5-star rating for me.

I bought a limited edition figure from hobby genki. It was my first time purchasing with genki but they did not disappoint. Even though the figure was extremely limited the price was very reasonable and the purchase process was fairly simple. Hobby genki takes care to monitor community level prices to make their web sales viable for the average collector.
The multiple shipping options allow for users to adapt the price to their budget.
I chose Dhl and after genki‘s quick processing period my package arrived a whole week ahead of schedule. The figure was packaged very safely which I was thankful for due to the fragile and valuable nature of the specific item I purchased.

The only problem I have with hobby genki is that their website can be a bit tough to deal with, the search bar is very specific to the words entered which can make it hard to find the items you are looking for. Otherwise the company is amazing
