We have received our survey back and it was extremely thorough. We decided not to go through with the purchase because the survey showed us issues with the house we did not come across on our own inspections. Very fortunate that the survey produced went over the house with a fine tooth comb. Great job by James

Our experience with Home Surveying was great from start to finish. After requesting an online quote, Andy got back to us first thing the next day and the survey was booked within 14 days. Our surveyor David emailed us before his visit to ask if there was anything we would like him to look at in more detail. We received the report, which was really comprehensive and thorough, just 3 days after the survey was done! Really impressed with the service - thank you so much Andy and David.

Took my full payment. Didn’t hear anything for days. They then cancelled the survey and have still not paid the money back. They still have my money and my purchase has been materially disrupt/delayed.

Have now replied to the complaint saying I could call but the manager never tried to call me back even though I requested this several times. This reply is for the benefit of their brand not me.

Our surveyor Rachel was brilliant. She called before and after the survey, and was very helpful and knowledgeable. And the turnaround from making initial contact about the survey, and receiving the report was only 5 days!

A very basic survey which didn't answer a lot of questions. I should have paid more for a more thorough inspection. An example, the surveyor commented on a downpipe to the extension of the house we were purchasing and mentioned that it was not discharging underground. He appeared to miss the fact that there was a soakaway ? He only needed to move a few bits of slate ? Don't think I'd recommend.

Rachel, the surveyor/valuer was punctual, and introduced herself on opening the door.
She briefly explained what her plan was. I toured her around the house and left her get on with it. More than 30 minutes later, and after taking many photos, with notes, we met up again. She explained that now she would go away, compile her report and look at similar houses that sold recently in the area, using them with her report to estimate the value of our house. The full report was with us, including the value 2 days later.
Furthermore, Rachel kindly gave her time a week later to discuss the report, and answer any concerns, which was extremely helpful.
I am very pleased, and would recommend her service.

Very impressed. Paul contacted me the day before the inspection to check if there was anything particular we were concerned about. We spoke on the day and the report (level 2) was sent to me within 2 days. Very detailed, lots of photos, looked very thorough with advice and recommendations on further areas to investigate - it’s an old house.

Rachel contacted me on the day of the inspection to check if there was anything particular I was concerned about. A nice courtesy. The report (level 2) was then e-mailed to me within 3 days. There is a lot of detail in the report and many pics, which suggests that a fairly thorough inspection was undertaken. No major faults have been identified, although there is a long list of items that it is recommended should receive attention. As the property is about 50 years old I did not feel a Level 3 report was justified. So far, so good. The price seemed very reasonable for the amount of time and effort that seems to have been expended.
