Fidelity National Home Warranty
Fidelity National Home Warranty
Would give zero stars if possible. My experience with Fidelity National Home Warranty has been terrible. I just had my digital control panel go out on my 4 year old oven/microwave unit. They installed a new one but it is the wrong color, black instead of stainless. They say it's in the contract that they don't color match or brand match and as long as they can get the oven working that's all they are required to do. I even confirmed that the part number we received is the wrong one but they will not order the correct one. Now I have the purchase a new one at my own expense and have it installed.
I also have the added refrigerator fee and when I needed to have that repaired it, of course, wasn't covered in the fine print.
The coverage is a waste of money as they always find ways not to cover whatever you need repaired.
Good Luck Trying to Cancel a Plan With This Company
I signed up for a Select Home Warranty policy on October 21st of 2024. They immediately went into a hard sell for a longer term with all sort of incentives. I agreed to a 5 year plan at a cost of $3,008.62. In late November, my son lost his job and I needed to help him out financially. I also had regrets about having spent so much on this policy so I sent Select Home Warranty an email asking to cancel the plan. I received a reply saying that I had to call them which I did. They immediately wanted to know why I was canceling. I told them that should not be relevant and to just credit back my refund minus the administrative fee they charge since it was more than 30 days since I had bought the plan. It is now December 19th and I still haven't received my refund. I called them this morning to ask about the refund and I was again asked why I had canceled. When I again said it wasn't relevant, I was told they were putting me on hold for 45 minutes and proceeded to do so. Terrible customer service. No interest in doing anything but selling and upselling. I cannot think of a single positive thing to say about Select Home Warranty. They were sure quick to take my money and it seems that is all they are interested in doing.
Choice Home This happened in july 2023 This is…
This happened in july 2023 This is about the worst company you could go with. They usually can't find a pro they send a handyman, and that sometimes a week or two. They left me sitting for three weeks last summer during a heat wave and I'm in the south, so I'm talking 100 degrees or more, because they couldn't find an air conditioner company that would work for them because they either don't pay enough or take forever to pay. I had one tech, tell me they had been waiting 5 months and haven't gotten paid for a job, so nobody wants to work for them. Then they sent me a handyman, who, when he went to work on the unit, blew the electric out in half my house. It was another two weeks before they found an electrician, i need to tell me that the problem was not covered, which they do most of the time, so they are useless.
First American Home Warranty is…
First American Home Warranty is terrible. They take your premium every month like clockwork but when it comes to submitting a service request you can expect it to take up to a month or more to get a repair. That is if they don’t find a reason to deny your claim. They use the worst of the worse subcontractors in your area to do the initial assessment and eventual repair. And there’s usually only one that they contract with, so you are stuck with them. These subcontractors are willing to do the work for pittance because they always find something that “needs” repair that isn’t covered. And those repair costs are more than what is usually charged by a reputable company. I wish I could find a reputable home warranty company.
First American Home Warranty
First American Home Warranty - A/C has been down 24 days with average highs around 100 in Texas. They claim the motor for a 4 year old A/C unit is on back order. They have offered to buy us a fan or free standing A/C up to $150. I'd choose a different company if you need a warranty.
Sends scam mailers
Beware American home shield they don’t replace your air conditioning unit nor do they even give you much money to do that with
American home shield they don’t replace your Air Conditioning unit they offered me only $500 and change…. And if they could repair it they will but the company that they use which is South Placer Heating tried to charge me $2700 to fix it. I don’t know what kind of warranty company American home shield is
Having South Placer Heating And air charge me to actually fix my air-conditioning unit …. these warranties are not worth it and be careful with South Placer Heating And Air ….
Worst home insurance company you can…
Worst home insurance company you can ever hire, good in the sales process and even better to find excuses no to cover you and get you fed up on their process and waiting in line for ages. On claim for for properties in one year. Result of that one claim, 4 appointments where they never showed up, finally when they did they rejected the claim.
I needed to appeal and then they did want to cover. I was tired and just wanted out, cancelling the policy takes a week of your time calling them and they finding excuses to avoid cancelation.
Choice home warranty is the worst to…
Choice home warranty is the worst to deal with. In total 3 claims- I ended up paying out of pocket for all of them.
They couldn’t find techs for service calls.
First claim, they never found a tech in 2 weeks to fix the hot water heater in a house with kids in Boston winter. I had to just give up and buy a new one as I couldn’t wait any longer.
The second claim the tech told me my out of pocket expense would be more than me just buying a new microwave!
The third claim, they couldn’t find a tech again. When they finally did, he was a no call no show for the appointment.
When I used my local guy, they did not agree with his diagnosis and denied the claim stating they don’t cover rust/ corrosion of pipes as I did not maintain it. ( tell me how you maintain pipes under/ inside of your jacuzzi??)
No point in appealing-
Their case managers ( I dealt with Tamika Cleare) are trained not to listen to the customer and just read the script stating what is not covered! Might as well install AI.
I cancelled and asked for refund. They charged me penalty for cancelling service as well. I am yet to receive my money back.
CHOICE was the worst choice!
Choice is A Terrible Warranty Company
Choice is a terrible warranty company! This is the 3rd time we made a claim and there is always some reason they can't cover a claim or they assign technicians that don't cover our area. Choice makes the consumer do most of the leg work in communicating with the technicians. This last claim is the last straw, I am immediately canceling and I will share on every social media review I can find how terrible there service is. Our air conditioner went out. I made a claim describing we had seniors in the house and needed the AC fixed as soon as possible. They took 2 days to try to find someone to service our area. Choice then sends an email asking us if we wanted to hire someone out of network since they were not finding anyone in network and they would reimburse us minus the service fee. We hired the people that actually installed the AC unit that had the issue. We send Choice the problem description, pictures, invoice and everything they asked, and on the same day Choice denied the claim stating we didn't get prior approval. I needed my AC unit fixed immediately! They completely ignored that this was an emergency and that we had seniors in the house as I stated in the claim. They make us do all the leg work, promising to reimburse us then find some technicality as to why they wont reimburse us. They always find a reason not to pay a claim! That's been our experience. Choice is the worst warranty company we have ever worked with. We had AHS before this and the only reason we stopped using them was because they started getting too pricey, but their service was so much more superior. They always did the leg work, we got decent technicians in a reasonable time, though they try hard not to replace stuff they actually did replace one of our ac units and one of our appliances inside the house. Choice is the complete opposite. We have not had one successful claim out of the 3 we made. I guess the moral of this experience is you get what you pay for.
Worst warranty company ever 210
Worst warranty company ever. Stay away. Our spring on our garage door needed to be replaced. We been with them 18 years and they only would give $140.00 for both springs on garage. They said $340.00 but that included trip call, labor and parts. We were supposed to send in payment for next year. But I’m doing a Chargeback for a scam company. I told them that’s a discount card not a warranty. Zero Stars if possible.
Select Home Warranty Company is the absolute worst Home Warranty Company…
Home Select is the worst home warranty company. They deny almost everything, and cover almost nothing. Denied ice maker in refrigerator, denied tap water on refrigerator, denied heater exchanger on furance, denied Freon leak on air conditioner and denied reverse osmosis system on tap water. Complete waste of money.
Worst yet, you call to complaint and they promise to “make it right” by extending a warranty that covers nothing. Don’t waste your money with Select Home Warranty!
Fidelity National Home Warranty
Refused to repair an old, leaking A/C unit. Tech said the coil in the attic needed additional planking around the back of the unit before he could work on it. Ok, sounds easy enough if you're used to attics with a low roof load and plenty of space, but this is Vegas. It has a heavy, Spanish tile roof. There are vertical members supporting the roof all over the place in addition to other pipes and fittings that may require access in the future. You would need to draw a blueprint and then have the plank cut on a CNC machine to make it fit the area requested! And don't forget that this is on the back side of the unit where there are NO access panels! I think Fidelity just didn't want to honor the contract.
Select Home Warranty - Terrible Company
Select Home Warranty - WHAT A JOKE. I paid in full up front for the so called warranty on my small pension.
I placed my first claim last week after having the coverage over 2 years. My claim was that the washing machine was leaking. The tech stated the gasket/seal needed to be replaced.
You would think this company would replace, since its a normal wear & tear item. NOOOO they don't. What's the point of these companies?? To rip off consumers, take the money, then deny the claim??
STAY CLEAR OF SELECT HOME WARRANTY. The reps are useless, on and on trying to keep you. I don't need options I need a repair
Choice Home warranty Horrible
I haven’t been treated badly until I bought a home insurance with Choice warranty. Their Customers are very incompetent. What make me bought Choice home warranty was because of their Review but it is a Big Lie. Around January or February 2024 my bathroom shower was leaking, their technician came on time so I paid the service fee after that it took almost a month to come back and fix the leak but the shower have come out from both the faucet and shower head. I called them then they send me email saying that the technician will be coming back but he didn’t. They are horrible when taking care of their customers but they want you to paid them. In March my ice maker went out and my washing machine into too. Choice homewarranty denied the claim for the ice maker. They told me to call Samsung and then also not able to fix my Washing Machine. After a month they send me email saying they will replace it with money. I did accept the money on March 7 2024 but I won’t gett the money till later. As of now I do not have washing machine so most of the time Ihave to driver miles away from home to wash my cloths at laundry mat . Do not buy Choice Home warranty They are horrible and they will make excuses to fix your appliance. Shame on this horrible company!!!!!
BEWARE of Domestic & General Insurance for appliances over £2,000,00.
I have been with Domestic & General (D&G) for over 40 years and have always found then to be good. However, more recently our Miele Tumble Dryer required attention, D&G arranged for Home Serve who passed it on to Miele themselves who were quick and sorted the problem, a week later the tumble dryer began to emit smoke with a smell of burning, following which D&G have refused to send a second engineer! As a result of which we Purchased a new Miele Tumble Dryer and Washing Machine, at a Black Friday deal of £2,499.00 each item (MMRP £3,000.00). D& G whilst insuring both items during December 2023 now state that they DO NOT and WILL NOT insure any appliance over £2,000.00 despite already having replaced a £4,000.00 QLED TV and a £3,700.00 American Fridge Freezer. Notwithstanding which they continue to take DD payments for both the Tumble Dryer and Washing Machine.
Select home Warranty
Horrible service and communication. Select is beyond awful. I have had other home warranties and have some basis of comparison. A hose connected to garbage disposal began leaking. I filed a claim. Nothing. I called several times and each time they said they had sent me an email. Nothing. I was finally able to talk to someone and instead of finding out what the problem was they had decided garbage disposal needed to be replaced and sent me a pittance for what they calculated as FMV of a garbage disposal that age. Who are they rather than homeowner to be making that decision? In my 60+ years on planet this is one of worst companies I have ever dealt with. Do not do business with Select Home Warranty.
First Premiere is a scam
First Premiere
My air conditioner went out. It cost $90 for the deductible and Premiere offered $800 payout. It cost me$6k to replace it. My fridge went out and they finally paid out just $600 but I paid $249 in and was not rembursed. I still cannot afford a new refrigerator.
My washer went out and they offer $175 in cash. I bought a warranty to help me!
This is an awful experience every time!
I want my money back as this is not a help. Calling their people is like talking to a collector. It's bad! I feel deceived and taken advantage of. Beware!
SELECT HOME WARRANTY:
SELECT HOME WARRANTY:
I purchased a contract for home warranty on 12/11/23 and paid for the full year.
The salesman presented the plan very well. When asked about exclusions, the response was "very few". When asked about coverage limits, the response was "we have the best coverage in the industry".
I expected any salesman to say that.
Then, on 1/19/24, I submitted a request for a water heater leak. I needed someone to check the cause of the leak and take/recommend a course of action. Such a request was declined via email because water heater leaks are not covered.
Sure enough, that is what my policy said.
Two questions:
1) Why aren't exclusions listed before the sale.
1) Why did their online request system allow me to select "water heater" and "leak" since the condition is not covered?
I attempted contacting the salesman to point this out to him. About a dozen emails and phone over a period of 4 days. No answer. In parallel, I tried connecting with someone else in sales and ask for a supervisor.
The call seemed to get routed to "Customer service" every time. No one in the sales department could locate a supervisor.
This company left me with a very bad impression:
1) High pressure sales
2) No way to contact salesman post-sale. The persons I reached in the sales department all sounded like bored people answering the phone very casually. No professionalism at all.
3) Customer service was difficult to understand. I had to ask them to repeat almost everything they told me.
4) Use the online interface at your risk.
5) Good luck if you need to cancel your contract. There is a fee (undisclosed)
They have a long way to go. I called to cancel and their "customer loyalty" people were offering deals to make me change my mind. I understand it is their job to do so. Why are these deals offered only when someone is cancelling? I took almost an hour to have the rep finally cancel it.
Buyer beware!
CHOICE WARRANTY is the worst
CHOICE WARRANTY is the worst. It took weeks to say they had assigned a repairman and the date. While waiting for arrival, happened to look at emails to see that it had been rescheduled that morning for a Sunday, 2 weeks off. Then another schedule on a holiday and while waiting, discovered that it had been also been rescheduled that morning. They simply string you along.
