Incredibly dishonest business practices.

Cleaners were great, company is one of the shadiest I’ve ever experienced. The intro rate is a trap that you either have to pay them $160 to cancel or stay for 6 months. Once you complete the 6mo that rounds to 7 it is almost impossible to cancel. After the cancellation, they enable recurring cleanings without your knowledge. Barely noticed a cleaner had accepted a cleaning I was not aware of. I was able to find the setting in the settings area of my profile but incredibly shady which is half the reason I cancelled my membership. Sad and disgraceful. Concept would have been great with a more ethical company.

If I could give it a 0 star rating I would! The misleading pricing and mediocre service I was provided was a joke. I went back and forth with them to end my subscription for a few months and wasting over $300 by the time I was finally released. I need info if anyone knows about lawsuits against them for this. I can’t believe they’re still in business.

will not stop autopayments even after subscription cancel

My mother hired homeaglow thinking that they were a reputable business. Cleaners came twice and the service was acceptable. But she decided to move on to another company. But for 2 years and counting my 95-yr-old mother has been trying to cancel her subscription and automatic payments. Despite many phone calls, support tickets on their website, and emails, the automatic withdrawals have not stopped. There are quite literally countless complaints about this very problem. Simply search online and there are a multitude of complaints and, apparently, lawsuits, about the issue. I feel for the employees---they're just trying to do a job. I hope they're not treated as shabbily as their customers.

Homeaglow is a scam

This company is a scam. Their entire business model is to offer a very cheap cleaning, and within the terms of service they hide a recurring monthly fee that you are unable to cancel for half a year.

I've tried sorting this out with their customer support department, but have been unable to. STAY AWAY.

Deceptive practices. They sell you a $19 cleaning and then charge you for many things not mentioned in initial offer. Do not use this service. Very bad customer service.

Stay away from this scam

Title: DECEPTIVE PRICING & HIDDEN SUBSCRIPTION TRAP – BEWARE!
Review Content:
Homeaglow uses deceptive marketing tactics to lure customers in with a "$19 whole house cleaning" offer, only to secretly enroll them in a monthly "ForeverClean" membership charged at $59/month without clear consent.
When I tried to cancel this unauthorized subscription, I found no direct way to do so on their website without being forced to pay an outrageous "early cancellation fee." Their customer support is non-existent—they don't answer phones and ignored my initial emails. Only after I escalated the issue did I receive a canned response from "Emma" trying to negotiate a smaller fee instead of providing the full refund I am entitled to.
This is not a professional cleaning service; it's a subscription trap designed to play games with your money. I have already reported this to my bank as an unauthorized charge and filed a complaint with the BBB.
STAY AWAY from this scam!

Found a resolution to my complaint.

Previous problem: I’ve had two cancellations, no option for a cleaner that charges less than $30/hr. I pay a monthly fee plus hidden fees. They cannot accommodate my schedule, and have very few cleaners in my area. They threaten an additional $30/hr for previous cleanings and the first “free” cleaning (that actually cost the monthly plus fees) if I try to cancel before the 6mo commitment.

Update: Homeaglow contacted me. They let me out of the minimum commitment with no penalty, and offered a discounted monthly rate of $25/mo with a discount toward the next cleaning. They also refunded the monthly for Feb since I received no cleanings.

Homeaglow is a SCAM

Homeaglow is a SCAM.

I scheduled a cleaning appointment months in advance and they were not able to match me with a cleaner at the last minute.

This level of service is unacceptable. When I initially signed up, the leaflet provided did not clearly specify that this was a membership program. That omission is misleading and feels deceptive.

For reference, their rating on Trustpilot is currently 1.3, with numerous negative reviews outlining similar issues. Unfortunately, my experience reflects the same concerns.

RUN AWAY, QUICKLY, EXTREMELY FAST!

Hello, My name is Tori. Based upon the television commercials I took a chance and hired them. HUGE MISTAKE! They're no better than Thumbtack TRUST ME! This is not a company, it's an ENTIRE DIGITAL SCAM! This place has no telephone number you can call and speak with a live person, you must email them and they'll get back with you within three days, or whenever they want because initially it's all digitally automated responses, just like I found out this is a digital "company" is a FOR SURE SCAM! They use false advertising to catch you, and once they've got you, it's over with. On their reviews they want to know about how the cleaner did. In my case, which I continuously mentioned to them, the cleaner they sent was fine, it's THEM ATTEMPTING to scew their company reviews. I was in constant contact with my cleaner; however, he didn't even know how to contact them and he works for them, or allow me to state, he's subcontracted just like that other horrible site. I don't even know if Homeaglow does any vetting, but my cleaner wasn'tthe issue, my issue is this company's false advertising. Homeaglow's television commercials specifically state "Get your ENTIRE HOME cleaned for $19." IF IT SOUNDS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, IT IS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE! These people are trash, and I wish I would've come to Trustpilot first and I would've gone a different route.

How they trick you is with those GOD forsaken "Vouchers" which aren't truly "Vouchers" at all. The ONLY WAY to get your "Entire home cleaned is if you have a one bedroom, one bathroom home." Next have it in the middle of the page in light gray writing that to obtain ANY of those discounted rates, which are tiered in this manner: (Approximately) $19, $39 and $59 are their so-called "discount rates." You MUST READ AND UNDERSTAND what's in that gray writing, which goes something like this, "You'll automatically be signed up for their FreshClean Monthly Subscription which is $59 + (3 hours of cleaning for the $19 home clean) + $45 (for your cleaner) + $1.60 (I have no idea, probably taxes) = Approximately $123 will be separately charged to your card instead of one invoice, one total. So just KNOW, if you want to pay FULL PRICE, which you should if you decide to use these SCAMMERS! You cannot cancel the $59 Monthly Subscription WITHOUT YOU PAYING A HEFTY CANCELATION FEE because I believe it's a six month subscription. If you attempt to cancel, I was told that fee is going to be charged to your account every month whether you use it again or not, but you used it once and they think that gives them the right to charge you that OR an EARLY TERMINATION FEE! I filled out ALL of the particulars, square footage of my three bedroom, one bathroom home, they'll ask you what cleaning supplies are required? They'll ask if there are any things you want them to pay
"extra attention to?" This is a rental property so I'm thinking they're going to clean my entire home, with special attention to what I selected, which were the stove inside and out, the refrigerator inside and out and a deep cleaning of the bathroom. GUESS WHAT I RECEIVED FOR THAT $100 I was charged? ALL THESE PEOPLE DID WAS THE (INSIDE AND OUT) STOVE, REFRIGERATOR AND THE BATHROOM. So when my cleaner sent me pictures, it was a good job, but what about the rest of the house? I even put in my notes, "IF MORE TIME IS NEEDED, LET ME KNOW AHEAD OF TIME SO THAT I'LL KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT." The reason I said that was their cleaners are $20 per hour for every half our they go over. That wasn't done and I'm glad because THAT WAS INSANE to pay for two appliances and a bathroom. DO NOT DO IT! LOOK ELSEWHERE, THEY'RE SCAMMERS!!!

Worse than one star

It’s too bad that the lowest score I can give is one star, because my actual review would be minus 5. Scheduled a cleaning: cleaner canceled 20 minutes before the appointment. Scheduled again but the app screwed up and sent me two people within 24 hours. Didn’t want to pay for both so I canceled one and both ended up being canceled. The most laughable part is that they’re trying to get people to sign on to a membership with this kind of service. No thanks.

SCAM ALERT

SCAM ALERT: The $19 Housecleaning Voucher 🚨

I have learned my lesson, READ all the pages before you click, I AGREE to the terms! If you see a "deal" for a $19 housecleaning voucher, run. Even if a friend sends it to you!!! It’s a predatory subscription trap. By buying the voucher, you are unknowingly agreeing to a $59/month membership for 6 months ($350+ total). The membership doesn't even cover the cost of the cleaning! It’s all buried in the fine print. So the $19 voucher really costs about $370. They will let you cancel for $105.

CAn't wait to cancel contract

I'm coming to the end of my 6-month subscription and can't wait to cancel. The cleaners they sent were totally incompetent - didn't use appropriate cleaning supplies for the job, didn't actually clean (wiping a dirty rag across the counter is not cleaning), ruined a piece of wood furniture by using an abrasive cleaner, dripped chemicals on a rug, leaving stains. Often they couldn't even find a cleaner to send. They refused to let me out of the contract early. Their customer service always responded quickly, but provided no solutions. They did provide some credits for all the problems, but that did not even begin to make up for the damage done to my home or to my peace of mind.

This is a terrible company

This is a terrible company. They charge you even when you don’t get a cleaning. The people they send out are not cleaning professionals, anyone can sign up to clean for them. They sent out a woman, who brought her boyfriend with her (unbeknownst) to me, some of their work was fine, but laundry was terrible! They actually ruined a pair of dry clean only pants, putting them in the wash. They over loaded the washing machine so much that I came home and found it full of soaking wet clothes. I had to pull them out and rewash 4 separate loads. When I tried to cancel the service they just tried to offer me a discount. Then billed me again the following month. I had to get my CC to cut them off from billing me.

This company is a bait and switch scam

This company is a bait and switch scam. They advertise a cleaning service for 19.99 for your first cleaning and when you schedule a cleaning you are enrolled in a $59 a month membership to their service. If you would like to cancel that membership they charge you $105. When I called to let them know I was not aware of the membership they would do nothing to help. It is impossible to talk to a real person. Avoid this scam. The advertising is deceptive.

I signed up for the $20 introductory…

I signed up for the $20 introductory 3-hour cleaning offer. What is not clearly emphasized during signup is that you are automatically enrolled in a $59/month “ForeverClean” membership that begins after your first appointment and renews monthly regardless of usage.

To make matters worse, the cleaner was only at my home for about 2 hours — not the full 3 hours advertised in the promotional offer.

When I reached out about the charge, I was told that cancelling before six paid months would result in my initial cleaning being repriced at full hourly rates. That feels extremely misleading given the intro offer marketing.

Between:
• The incomplete 3-hour service
• The automatic $59 recurring membership
• The six-month penalty structure

This does not feel transparent or consumer-friendly.

I would strongly encourage anyone considering the intro offer to carefully read the fine print and fully understand the membership commitment before booking.

3/2/26 Update:

After several emails back and forth regarding the ForeverClean membership charge, Homeaglow reached out to me directly by phone and resolved the issue. They issued a refund for the ForeverClean membership fee and addressed my concerns.

I appreciate that they ultimately took the time to review the situation and make it right.

I would rate them a ZERO

I would rate them a ZERO. I booked last year for a move out clean. I was 8 almost 9 months pregnant having to get this done on a short time frame. I booked the cleaning and the lady never showed. Never contacted me then they had to “reschedule” which I did and still didn’t show up. So my pregnant butt had to just do it myself. The audacity. Don’t waste your time seriously

Sadly it seems I fell for the same scam as everyone else. First visit is $19 dollars but you're automatically enrolled in a membership plan. $59 a month , plus Thry Bette me $159 the second time they come to clean. I contacted customer service and was given the , it's erren in the terms of the contract. Now They want $105 to cancel the membership . Worst part the cleaners were ok but nothing close to $149 worth of services
