Exceptionally pleased experience.

The company was very easy to deal with, and had exactly the lights I required, which were priced well below any of the other companies I looked at. Following a slight problem of my own making, I Emailed them about it and had a phone call back within an hour by a very polite girl called Emma, they have promptly dealt with my query and sent me a replacement part. Will recommend them to anybody looking for new lights. Very pleased customer. Paul.

Up & down pendant light

Required a cheapish up & down pendant light fitting for a customer. Found one reasonably priced, ordered & was delivered within 3 days. Easy to purchase & quick delivery. Would recommend from my purchase experience.

Negative experience

I ordered a small table lamp via PayPal. Received a PayPal confirmation to say it had been processed, could see it on my transactions and could see the money came out my account. I received an email to say it wasn’t processed. I told them and gave them evidence it had so asked if they could go ahead and process. It sounded like I had woken the CSA up when I called. Usual “manager in a meeting, he will need to have a look chat”. Called again to say right can you send me it as you now know I’ve paid, yet again in a sleepy tone ok we will process. Still not received a dispatch email and they still have my money. It’s not that difficult.

Excellent customer service, good lamp

I ordered a hobby table lamp from Home lights Direct. Unfortunately when the lamp arrived the lamp base had some damage. I contacted HLD and they responded to my e-mail, swiftly sending a replacement lamp. The lamp itself is just what I needed, and I am very happy with it. Following my experience I would recommend Home Lights Direct.

Awful customer service - avoid

Price isn't bad, but I would never use them again.

Order took over 2 weeks to arrive, first order was broken so they replaced them but I was met by rude, unhelpful customer service when I asked for delivery updates/the possibility of cancelling my order.

After shopping around I found Home…

After shopping around I found Home Lights Direct to be the best value on the 3 items I wanted. Certainly a lot cheaper than one of the big online retailers I looked at. Delivery was quick. I had to return 1 item which I didn't automatically get refunded for, but that was due to the service interruption as a result of Covid. What matters is that when I chased it up, I was refunded within a few minutes and the lady I spoke to was very polite and friendly.

Not too bad service

It took longer than I thought to come but it came in good packaging and as described. It is chalenging circumstances so I understand the delay. Contacted Mark and within a day it was sorted and delivered so well done. Would probably use them again.

I placed a order at beginning of May…

I placed a order at beginning of May but has not yet been delivered I have sent numerous emails but have only had one reply which was on the 13th to say my lights had been received and was now packing ready for delivery. these lights were order for a existing customers job I was completing before lock down. there is no information on there web site to say about no one is in office or working due to current lockdown, if I was to have seen this I would have ordered lights from another company. I need to finish job before I am paid so you can see my predicament. would I use this company again definingly not would I recommend no

Got my item fine but communication was a bit poor

Purchased some outdoor wall lights. Got a dispatch email, but no tracking number and no indication of when I could expect to recieve the item. Waited a week and nothing (this is during COVID-19) so I emailed to request a tracking number only for Hermes to deliver the order the following day. Tried calling before the order arrived during their opening hours and got a voicemail saying to please call back during opening hours -- this is a bit of a pet peeve of mine.

All in all it was fine, but I probably wouldn't use them again.

Very poor customer service

Very poor customer service. I tried to cancel a duplicate order before it was shipped but received no response and had to deal with the inconvenience and cost of returning the item.
There are plenty of other suppliers out there so I suggest you use them. I will.
