Our snag was completed by Frazer who provided an excellent service. He was dilligent, knowledgeable and professional. We are grateful for the snags which Frazer identified which we are now picking up with the developer, and will no doubt save us £s of hidden costs down the line.

We recently had Billy from HomeSnag carry out a snagging inspection on our new-build home, and we couldn't be happier with the service.

Carl attended and carried out our snagging as planned and at the agreed time. Booking was really simple online as availability is shown for the area you live, so you can pick a day that suits best. On the morning of the appointment, I received a phone call from Carl stating his ETA which was appreciated as it meant I could get on with bits before his arrival.

The snagger Carl arrived as stated and was very courteous and respectful of the property and carried out his role with no fuss whilst explaining his findings as he went through the rooms. His report was sent over to me later that same day, it was comprehensive with pictures and also stated which NHBC guidelines the snag was in reference to which has helped. At the end of the inspection he talked us through the most urgent on the list and the reasoning so we could inform the developer immediately.

I would happily recommend HomeSnag to friends and family as the money spent is worth it in the long run.

I booked a Pre Completion Inspection on my New Build after seeing their videos online. I had a text from Matthew 48 hours before introducing himself and after the inspection was done I had phone call where Matthew went through his findings with me. Matthew explained everything clearly and answered all my questions even explaining the next steps in detail. I really like that although the inspection is done the customer care doesn’t end there, Matthew was more than happy to be emailed further questions and queries that may arise as the developer now fixes the items found on the report.

The report was sent to my email later that day detailing all the (thankfully) minor issues that have been raised including photographs and a breakdown of what was looked at in each room of the house.

Just completed our pre-completion inspection with HomeSnag and wanted to shout out to Matthew for an absolutely brilliant job.

We were nervous about the inspection – first time buying new build – but Matthew put us at ease straight away. He was professional, thorough, and genuinely knowledgeable. He didn’t just tick boxes; he explained everything clearly so we actually understood what he was looking at and why it mattered.

The inspection picked up a good mix of things: some external items (ventilation, fixings, ground levels), a few internal cosmetic bits (flooring, radiators, doors needing adjustments), and the usual teething issues you’d expect on a new property. Nothing major or structural, which was reassuring. Matthew’s findings give us confidence that the developer can sort everything before we complete.

What impressed us most was Matthew’s approach. He was methodical, answered all our questions without making us feel daft, and gave us practical advice on what to monitor post-completion and when to consider a follow-up inspection. You can tell he genuinely cares about getting it right.

If you’re buying a new build and haven’t booked a pre-completion inspection yet – honestly, do it. It’s money well spent. And if you go with HomeSnag, ask for Matthew if you can. He’s excellent.

Alex the surveyor was extremely thorough and professional throughout. He was approachable and happy to answer my questions. He focused on the task spending over five hours. The Report was extremely thorough. A photo for the majority of the issues and links to the relevant NHBC or building control reference. Being coded has helped the developer plan the work. I have booked for a post survey visit. I would definitely recommend having this type of survey for a new build. I recommend HomeSnag without reservation.

Matthew came out to us after buying a Bovis new build, after the initial conversation he cracked on and was outstanding throughout. He explained everything in full detail and has so much knowledge of issues in new builds.

I can’t not recommend this company enough overall, from the start when I booked them to the end it was an amazing experience and couldn’t fault them.

Luckily there wasn’t nothing major in our report, but the report is clear and understanding which site are now using to fix the issues found.

Being a first time buyer and a first time new build buyer we decided to do a pre completion inspection. This was very informative, the report sent is detailed and easily understood. Excellent from start to finish. Managed to get me an appointment very quickly, to do a full post completion snag on a new build property before my family and I moved in. Decided to get the options for thermal'lite' & Cavity wall insulation check aswell. Marius was the surveyor tasked with the job, and what a thoroughly professional and nice guy. Spent hours looking/testing everything,from whether plug sockets or light switches were straight,to wall/floors being within NHBC tolerance,noticing the smallest details that needed correcting or just highlighting them. Having taken a zillion photos, the pdf report arrived at 11pm the same day, photos backing up the faults found and a full explanation, using NHBC guidelines as reference, aswell as photos of cosmetic issues. The report,has been forwarded to the developer and they are already on the case,in putting the wrongs right. It definitely helps paying for professionals, who are RCIS surveyors,as these guys know what is right/wrong from the gecko,and definitely helps in getting them rectified as quickly as possible.
