I called at 8:30 am this morning, April 10, 2026. There was an unfortunate accident that left the vinyl garage door locked three quarters open. I was assured someone would come out today, and the service dept would call with a time for the call. I waited all day. They new there is direct access from the garage to the house, so it was urgent. I'm a 20+ year cx, they installed these doors, but no call....no response, nothing. Called again at 5:05 and was assured by the answering service, that they're going to contact the on call guy....6:41 pm I call again, answering service again states the same thing....I am sorely disappointed, and very angry because now I'll have to pay after hours fees with someone else or I'll have to wait until Monday. This is unacceptable! I no longer recommend this company. Very poor service experience after being a loyal customer for more than 20 years....I do NOT recommend!!!!

I truly appreciated the service l got, the salesman was very professional and knew what he was selling explained the product well and I am very pleased with. Thank you.

Within a few minutes of posting my request I had several replies and was able to arrange next day service. Im very impressed with the site and results. It is nice to know that companies are reviewed by real customers and feel more trustworthy.

HomeStars has provided me with the ease of finding a contractor that is not a fly by night business.
The reviews help and they are screened by HomeStars. I provided a negative review of a plumbing company and they asked me to supply proof since the company was questioning my review. Once I supplied the details, the review went live.

Today George the service tech to fix an outstanding issue. had an outstanding experience with this window service technician. From start to finish, they were professional, punctual, and incredibly knowledgeable. They took the time to explain the issue clearly and provided an efficient, high-quality solution.

Not only was the work done flawlessly, but they also left everything clean and tidy afterward, which I really appreciated. It’s rare to find someone who combines skill, attention to detail, and great customer service so seamlessly.

I highly recommend their services to anyone in need of window repair or maintenance. Truly top-notch work!

Homestars helps me connect with local companies who have good reviews from former customers they served. When those suppliers describe their strengths and when the customers describe what they did, I can assess their potential fit for my job.

It makes it quite easy to create a short list of vendors to invite to quote on the work … and to communicate with them if/when they respond. I get a few quotes and get a feel for the company and can make an informed decision.

Sometimes companies give me very high costs while others give very low costs. Once I have a few prices and get a sense of their customer service, I have the information I need.

The one thing I wish they would do it allow people to make comments for vendors whose service you chose not to hire. I once was going to make a comment about a vendor … but decided not to. But it did not let me back out and instead it made it appear that I had chosen not to hire them and that I gave them a zero star review. This is not what I intended. Homestars told me there was nothing they could do to remove that negative rating. Their system should be updated so this cannot happen.

The tradesman I chose, was very knowledgeable of his trade. Put my mind at ease.

Awful job, the deck was done unprofessional. Nail sticking out, wood is not even.

Constant messaging about prospective jobbers

I was delighted with Azimuth. They arrived within an hour and replaced my broken lock. Couldn't be happier with their service.

Lot's of interest for our wallpapering job. I like Homestars as it provides choice for small jobs.

I was able to find a contractor that was in my neighborhood and quoted quickly and we agreed on a time for the next day
The contractor showed on time allowed me to watch was sensitive to my concerns and did the job efficiently and completely
I kept their business card for future reference as I would use them again

We like using HomeStars to find qualified trades people who are in our area. We can see reviews from previous customers which helps inform our decision. It is our “go to” starting point for all of our house projects.

My hot water tank broke down and I called my current company for service after the technician checked it said the water tank is irreparable it was time for new one, I was always considering to go tankless but wasn’t sure what device is the best, which company to call or where to start, after calling and consulting a few providers ACS came first in terms of options, installation, and as well as pricing was very competitive. Talha came and throughly inspected the site and gave his recommendations, I must say he was very professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. Srimylan the technician was also very professional, polite and knowledgeable and I recommend these guys to everyone, hire with confidence!

Please do not use this company.
They are very much like used car salesmen.
Happy to take your money but don't give much in return.
I made the mistake of signing up with them a while back.
I am an interior designer in BC and was sold on the idea that loads of people are looking for my services in my area.
Thousands of dollars later I'm stuck with useless support staff and Zero leads.
Absolutely nothing.
No exaggeration.
Not a single one.
Fast forward to a year later, I manage to get in touch with someone to make sure my contract is done and won't renew.
And they charge my credit card for over $300 without my authorization!

A complete scam

Steve and his crew were very professional and knowledgeable about their profession! Highly recommend these gentleman for any carpet jobs now and in the future. I’m extremely fussy and a perfectionist and they met every requirement above and beyond. Also they left the house in perfect condition!

Most of the leads were not serious customers. Some didn’t answer the phone, others were just comparing prices and looking for the cheapest option. I honestly expected much better from a platform like this.
