Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 24 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people were dissatisfied with the constant and unsolicited phone calls they received, often from different numbers, making it difficult to block them effectively. Customers reported receiving multiple calls daily, sometimes with recorded messages, and felt harassed by the persistent contact. Reviewers also expressed frustration with their inability to contact the company to request removal from calling lists, as attempts to call back often resulted in unrecognised numbers or hang-ups. Some people mentioned the calls occurring at inconvenient and distressing times.

Rudest salesman.

Rudest salesman have ever been contacted by.
Thought it was an AI Chatbot the sales script he was reading to sell solar panels was so robotic.
When I requested my details to be removed from company systems as didn’t wish any more calls from such rude sales people, he literally spoke over me and put the phone down on me.
Consider using for other insurance in the future? NEVER.

Spam messages on TikTok with supposedly…

Spam messages on TikTok with supposedly normal people talking about no pay / free "schemes" in your local area. Call was awful. Pushy questions they asked me to verify 3 times. Booked a time for a free survey. Told I'd get 2 calls in the morning to verify. No calls, no one turned up. Would have cancelled the appointment anyway if they had called in advance, or turned up at the door. DO NOT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THEM!

STOP SPAMMING FACEBOOM

Using fake profiles on Facebook in various community groups, pretending to be customers promoting this company. Comments locked so nobody else can comment. Absolute disgusting business practice and based on other reviews, people clearly do not trust them.

They spam local Facebook sites

They spam local Facebook sites with fake conversations about solar in your local area.
If you give them your data, you effectively share your data with every hard-sell solar sales person within a 50 mile radius and you can expect phone calls from them at a minimum of once per week for the next few months, I assume longer.
Avoid avoid avoid.

Told them repeatedly to stop calling me about solar panel quote, asked over 10 times to have my number taken off their register, they never listen. Don't ever look for a quote out of curiosity, they'll just keep ringing again and again. Reported to the Advertising Standards Commission.

Should be renamed 'Dishonest Quotes'

Appalling company.
They contacted me to sell me Solar Panels.
Last year, I did contact a company about this and, ever since, I'd been called regularly by other companies, including 'Honest Quotes' to buy solar panels.

As I want this to stop, I asked 'Honest Quotes' person (who was texting me) who they got their data from - they just told me it was a 'third-party' database and couldn't give me more details.
So, giving them the benefit of doubt, I asked them for their GDPR Data Protection Officer's email address, to make a Subject Access Request to find out where they bought their data from, assuming it was bought in good faith. After all, they are called 'Honest Quotes'!

Well, that didn't go well.
I was eventually given 4 email addresses at their domain name:
dpo@
privacy@
dataprotection@
info@

Emails to ALL of them returned immediately with
Message Blocked - Recipient address rejected: Access denied

I didn't ask for a fifth one - what's the point?

But, I will continue to bug this company and find how to request a Subject Access Request.

As I said above, I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt and assume they bought the data in good faith.
Now, I feel they could be the people SELLING it - otherwise, why so reluctant to provide me with a valid email address for the SAR?

I think they should probably rename themselves 'Dishonest Quotes' - that would likely be the most honest thing I've seen them do!

UPDATE
I found the correct email address for an SAR on their website: compliance@
I emailed them the SAR request yesterday - time will tell if they actually respond!

UPDATE2:
I did finally get a response, and SAR data, which was unexpected and positive.

But - Honest Quotes (and their parent company Sales-fuel.co.uk) still buy contact from dubious sources. Adfluential (apparently, the source of my data) had no permission from me to resell my data to other third-parties, so your claim it's 'all GDPR compliant' is weak.
If you continue to put sales before reputation - your sales will surely fall. There has to be a better way of doing what you do.
