Really helpful and informative

I placed an order with HoofBoots Ireland, and the team followed up with a call to ensure I knew my order would fit. As the product was new we scheduled a fit visit and I'm glad we did. It saved me a lot of time (and returns of the wrong boot and size!).
The communication was great and the boots were delivered quickly and I'm very happy with them. I would definitely recommend.

Amazing helpful experience

Phillipa was so helpful from the very beginning! She helped me walk through every stage of the fit kit which I was so helpful, and then she helped me figure out which boots fit best! The boots arrived and my mare has been so happy to wear them!

Fast delivery and the trickle round…

Fast delivery and the trickle round bale net is working out great under my hay bell helping to reduce waste. Easy to put on the bale.

Rude and unrealiable

I have used Phillipa a few times for my hoof boots and up until very recently was very please with her expertise and service.
My last two experiences however were horrible.
We had a Cheval locally and I wanted to match my mares hoof boot colours to the rest of my outfit as there was a best dressed prize. So on the 18 the April I ordered straps to match the numnahs
One of the colours was unavailable and Phillipa told me immediately. I told her that the deadline was the 12 May and asked would they be with me in time for that. She said yes its normally a week from that company.
So I waited . 22 days later and two days before the Cheval they had not arrived. So I contacted her and she then sent a package same day delivery. Lovely I thought, but when they arrived there was one emerald and one navy strap not two emerald as ordered.

This was her reply " Not sure how that happened I checked the order twice.
Cna you not use the navy and we'll sort it out next time? Alternatively come and visit me at the show today and take one for free. Just to add I did pay the cost of a pit of straps extra in shipping to get them to you, I made absolutely nothing on your order and it's clearly a genuine mistake. I wouldn't deliberately send you a navy strap. If you are able to get through the weekend I will send you the extra strap out next week free of charge.
It was a genuine mistake picking up the navy which had nothing to do with the wait on the out of stock item, I'm sorry I added the wrong front strap. Surely you can use the black this one time and it's not the end of the world?

I'm really shocked by your reply and the rudeness when I have apologised and offered to put it right.

I will refund you the straps keep that pair or throw them away. I'm not putting myself out anymore financially for someone who can't even be polite. "

Wow. What happened to the customer is always right and customer service.
I will never use her again. Shocking.

Hi Jacqueline, I am very sad to read your review. As a long term customer we have bent over backwards for you in the past and even on this occasion you failed to mention in your review we upped your postage to express free of charge which took any profit from the order because we wanted to offer you great service, yet these good turns have never earned us a review of any such depth and praise in comparison. I think this speaks volumes to how small businesses are viewed. When you first contacted me that we had simply got a strap wrong, I offered to put it right by sending you another out free of charge at the earliest convenience. I also offered that you could come to visit me at an event I was working all weekend and collect a strap. You ignored both of these offers and made it very clear you thought that this simple mistake made (which is the first I have made and was simply as the two colours were very similar) but that this was somehow an unforgivable incompetance. I am delighted that you included my reply as I have said in there how sorry I am and that it was a genuine mistake. Businesses are not there to be emotional punchbags for angry people who want to take out their frustrations on us. All we can do is apologise and offer to put things right. If that is not good enough then we are not obliged to go further out of our way. You say the customer is always right, firstly that saying it not correct "The customer is always right in matters of taste" is a wildly misused statement, secondly, no one said you were wrong. I apologised and offered to ut it right, you made it clear this was not good enough. So you were REFUNDED, you are 100% whole. You said you wanted to return everything, I agreed. The ONLY thing I have said NO to is driving 2hours to personally deliver you a €4 strap. As a GP I would hope you have more common sense and emotional resistance as your response to this situation is more than over the top in my opinion. The years of excellent service clearly meant nothing either and for that, I am truly sorry you were ever a customer.

Great service

And the fact they specialise in boots for horses and help with advice and fitting is fantastic.
Great service, very fast delivery and lovely little gesture of love heart sweets included.

Amazing Cloud boots

Very good experience! Arrived quickly. I ordered the wrong size but they replaced them with no fuss and replacement boots arrived the same week. I put cloud boots on mare with laminitis and what an amazing transformation, mare was walking like there was nothing wrong with her feet with a spring in her step

Seems like a good quality product

Seems like a good quality product, however by the time they actually arrived I no longer needed them, and the 14 day-refund period had passed. Delivery took far longer than stated.

Dear Ellen I'm sorry to read we fell short of your expectations with a 2-star review. The boots were ordered on our website on 11th February (Sunday) We reached out to you on the 12th February (Monday) to let you know the boots were in stock with our supplier and would take approx 3-5 working days form this particular suppier (our website stated 7 - 10 working days. The boots arrived with us on the PM of the 23rd of February (Friday), taking the full 10 working days, which is longer than out estimation based on previous deliveries. However this is still within the timescale our website promised. We posted them to you on the 26th February (Monday). I do not see how we could have improved our order and delivery on this occasion, but perhaps the expectation of 3-5 days should not have been conveyed and we will ensure that future expectations of 7 - 10 working days is maintained. We try to offer a service that is not available in Ireland and otherwise needs to be ordered from further afield taking even longer and incurring customs costs. We hope your horse is doing well and that our free consultation and advice of the temporary solution was helpful.
