Phillipa was a great help to me at a difficult time

Phillipa has been a great help to me at a difficult time . I purchased a pair Flex boots to transition my Mare to barefoot at the end of February However i became quite unwell just after receiving my boots , ended up in hospital . This led to me not being physically able to use my lovely new boots until May .
Thats when the trouble started after using for approx 3 weeks . 7 times in hand 30 mins & 3 x 509 mins hack on local tarmac roads . A hole appeared between the upper & sole on the outside of one of the FLEX boots & a strange wear pattern on the toe of the other Flex boot Indicating a manufacturing default . I immediately contacted Phillipa who got straight on to Flex . They refused to deal with her & insisted on dealing with me direct .
To cut a long story short after insisting i sent photos of my horse , her feet with & with out boots from all angels they declined my claim . Stating they were not faulty , that outside forces were to blame . This boot was only ever worn on the off hind & the hole is on the outside so could not possibly come into contact with outside forces & if you look closely at the boot you can even see how the material is degraded.
Phillipa was understandably horrified & is traveling 3 hours to personally fit , at her expense another brand of boots to enable me to carry on our barefoot journey .
Phillipa is the perfect partner for you & your horse where ever you are on your barefoot journey . Thank You Phillipa .

Once the stock had been sourced from the UK and had arrived at HoofBoot it was despatched immediately and arrived the next day.
Would definitely use them again..

In all honesty, Phillippa did.
She shows patience, a genuine love of animals and taking her job to find the best boots to fit the animal very seriously.
Will recommend to anyone looking.

Name of video is “Rosebud’s magic boots”

My horse, Rosebud ate a plant called Rosebay Willowherb, which is abundant in Howth. She almost died with poison oozing from all her hooves. Before, she was easy to handle but with constant abscesses and soreness she became almost unmanageable. Her hooves were too frail for steel shoes. She now has Hoof Boots and was ridden for the first time yesterday. She now raises her feet willingly. The boots have changed her life. I made a video of the terrain she walked and the boots stayed on. It won’t attach!

Great advice, fast delivery.

Received great advice about which boots would suit my pony best. I used the fit kit which was well worth the price. The boots arrived very quickly.

Excellent experience, highly recommend

From start to finish, my experience was if the highest standard. From ordering my fit kit, the online fitting to ordering and receiving my new boots was an easy, straight forward, pleasant experience. Phillipa was so thorough, helpful and approachable. Wouldn’t use them ever again

Wouldn’t use them ever again
Shocking experience
Was very nice and extremely helpful at the start
Was agreed I would pay 4 instalments
Paid 2 and before I payed the 3rd asked for proof of postage as had still not received the boots
Was told I would get a refund and to never contact her again
I understand she had an emergency and I was nice about it stating that I needed the boots as my horse is now refusing to leave the field so wasn’t something I could just wait and hope arrived eventually
Couldn’t provide a delivery date and received no updates

Edit:
If I could provide photos of the SIX times she’s called me since this review went up I would
Phillippa is not a bad person and I never said she was but the handling of the situation wasn’t great and I have full right to share my experience
I did ask if I would need to pay in full before I received the boots and was told she would send them out if they were in stock which is why I asked for proof of postage
Never said she would message me when she was out
Texted her on Monday to ask how she was and was ignored
I am being harassed to take down my review being called a “nasty piece of work” being called multiple times on a private number
Was on horse back at the time of the call and wasn’t going to answer and definitely didn’t call her back after the name calling
Would no longer call her a nice person

I find it interesting she found my one message straining but was able to call me and text me multiple times to try get me to remove this review
Have literally only found out through her reply that she didn’t even have my boots in stock that’s how great her communication is
Messaged her yesterday to ask how she was not today
She told me she didn’t know when she would be out of hospital but never said she would message me
Also told me she offers lots of people instalments and she offered I never asked
I only asked for proof of postage or a refund I was never told she never even ordered the boots!!
I made my first payment on the 24th of august which was 2 weeks ago so even tho she has spent a week in the hospital there no reason my boots shouldn’t have been ordered when I didn’t even know they weren’t in stock
Communication was my only problem with this company but harassment is now my second problem
I will be making no further edits to this review and people can make of it what they will but I will not be taking any more time out of my life to deal with a bully

This review is not from a genuine customer, an order for the boots was never placed as payment was not fulfilled. Also fully refunded the payments immediately. This person is angry because I didnt contact them enough whilst seriously ill in hospital with an emergency 🤯

The facts are that the reviewer wanted to order a set of hoof boots but did not have the funds. I agreed a payment plan and said I would need this to order in as the boots were not in stock and I would need to get them ordered. Usually I would require full payment to do this, but on this occasion I wanted to help out this young lady who did not have the money and whose horse was in pain.

The first installment was received after 5pm on Friday, so I planned to order with my supplier on Monday when they were open.

Unfortunately, I became seriously ill on Saturday and was admitted to emergency hospitalisation for 7 days on the said Monday.

I was unable to communicate with anyone, I was extrrmely sick.

As soon as I was able to respond while still in hospital I let the reviewer know I was in hospital and would inform her when I was back home. That is a direct quote from Whatapp. I also posted on my business pages that I was in hospital and apologised for delays beyond my control.

No reply was received that day.
I took another bad turn and had to stop any form of work for my health. I was highly medicated and undergoing many tests.

Upon being released late yesterday I was told to rest up.

Pre 9am this morning I received a message and saw there were two other messages asking how I was and when I would be home. These had not been deliberately ignored as stated by the reviewer. I was simply unable to reply because I was on strong pain meditation hooked up to an IV and was not concious for most parts of the days.

In the latest message the reviewer asked for proof of postage or a refund. As I had not ordered the boots and found the conversation quite straining I decided the best thing for my own health would be to just refund. I asked the reviewer (politely) not to contact me in future. This was due to not wishing for any further hassle and also because I didnt want to be involved with any purchases from another rep. My experience at this point was that I had put a lot of time in the consultation and I wanted to establish that boundary. Undortunately there are some customers you dont want.

At this point I had only received 2 payments. I made the refund straight away.

This review was the result.
I called several times for an explanation, to which I had none. I did say that the review was a nasty piece of work because frankly it is, and cruel too!

Please see my other 5 star reviews of clients who have actually paid and received their orders.

As someone who was in hospital less than 24hrs ago getting pretty bad news, this is unbelievable!

Edit to add that I checked the stock on Saturday (my day off) and planned to email the reviewer on Monday before contacting supplier, but I was too ill by this point and being rushed to A&E it wasnt the first thing on my mind. I had already said I needed to check as I didnt think I had it and reviewer was okay with this. Clearly this persons expectations are beyond that of reason or even care for another human being. I mean wow, that says it all. I will be warning other reps, best of luck!

Incredible Service

Can't fault the service! Phillipa is incredibly knowledgeable and put me completely at ease about buying my first pair of hoof boots. Delivery was super quick and I would absolutely recommend using Hoof Boots Ireland.
