Awful company.
Awful company.
Drove in the night, parked in a car park just after midnight for an hour, not realising it was attached to a Travelodge.
No signs I could read in the dark.
Got a ticket and disputed it.
No visible signs that you had to pay.
Do they except everyone to walk around in the middle of the night as a single female, looking for signs just in case there are any after none visible when driving in.
I thought companies had duty of care.
Parked 1 hour to have a nap in the car as couldn’t drive anymore, cost me £51.😡😡😡

Linenhall St, Chester Car Park
Parked at Linenhall St car park in Chester; we regularly park there so know the drill at the payment machines. Several weeks later we received a Fine Notice stating ‘failure to pay for duration of stay’. I knew we’d paid in full so sent a copy of my bank statement showing £4.90 for 4 hours. Horizon’s own system showed camera shots of our car’s entry & exit - proving we were well within the allotted time paid for. Ignoring our proof of payment, Horizon sent a copy of their record showing I did not put my FULL registration number when purchasing ticket, just the two first letters - YB. Even if I hadn’t put in the full number - which I dispute - Horizon still happily took our money whilst simultaneously claiming that their system couldn’t match our payment with our car! I asked how many other vehicles with the registration number starting YB had entered and exited at the same time as us that could be matched up to our payment? Unfortunately, due to time lapse, the ticket had been thrown away so no proof. Then put our trust in POPLA appeals process - total waste of time; like Horizon, they make all the right noises but their practices appear to be highly contentious.
Absolute rip offs as a company
Absolute rip offs as a company , overstayed at a Tesco, did not receive a PCN to pay the discounted rate and they had the absolute piss take to send a final reminder stating if not paid in 14 days further action will be taken. If possible avoid their carparking sites.
They can't read
They can't read.
Sent a charge. Excellent photos of the offending car...an orange Renault DN71 ???
zoomed in photos of front and back plates.
Shame that I've got a white LWB Vauxhall van DN17 ??? that they insist was what was there.
Nowhere on website to say "you got it wrong", only to appeal.
Incompetent.
If I could give zero stars I would
If I could give zero stars I would. Parked at Bournemouth Travel Lodge and the horizon app and website were down so asked the reception how I should pay for parking. They told me to use the pay machine which I did. Over a month later I got a parking fine. I explained the situation and sent them a clear image from my bank statement showing the parking was paid to Horizon, this was declined and I had to prove I stayed in the hotel. Finally after another month I got an email saying as a goodwill gesture they have cancelled the parking fine. GOODWILL doesn't come into it, I clearly proved that I payed for the parking. If you use Horizon get photo evidence of all your parking. Terrible company.

This company have taken £60 from my bank account. I’ve received no written correspondence from them, nor do I know how they got my back details. Disgusting practice.

On the November 2nd Sunday at tesco Oldham ,I as,a military veteran and RBL member was, with others, were selling poppies,as I arrived the stand was very busy i inadvertently forgot to register my car at customer service, a few, days later I got a parking summons for exceeding the 3 hour limit , either pay £70 or £40 if payed within 14 says, I obviously appealed stating being as,a military veteran selling poppies to raise funds for veterans in need , i then received another email stating my appeal had been unsuccessful, absolutely disgusting company to chase a,military veteran on this most important day supporting veterans in need ,hang your head in shame Horizon. I hope my £40 makes you very happy
ITS LEGAL THEFT OF THE WORSE KIND
PARKING CHARGE REFERENCE HP4347875 - If I could give this Racket of a company ZERO STARS I would. 1 star does not do it justice. First time ever parking in this Tesco Stevenage Extra Car Park IN MY LIFE. Presumed it was free parking like every other Tesco car park I have ever parked in - Im 49yrs old and must have parked in at least 20 different Tescos around the country and my local Tescos where you get between 1-2hrs free parking. I actually parked to go to the bank at 9am and then planned to buy my lunch in Tescos before driving back to my new job. Unfortunately the bank didn't open until 9.30am and it was a new job where I start at 10am so by the time I got back to the car park I had to skip buying lunch and drive straight to work. Slap Bang Wallop here is a £40 fine through the post because you didn't read the signs. Well Ive never knowingly not paid for parking or verified parking and if I had known I would 100% have sorted it. 1 time missing the signs and not realising there was parking restrictions and literally robbed of £40. Horizon are a disgusting company with zero compassion. You can check your records I have NEVER parked in that car park before. I appealed and they just hide behind the fact that they can legally rip you off. They have ANPR cameras as if anybody would knowingly try and get away without paying or verifying their parking its just a Money Racket!!. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING COMPANY!!
How to be the Pits in dishonesty ,= Horizon
This Company is set up to automatically reject Appeals regardless of what is explained in basic English. Cameras are set up on approach roads to zone then accuse you of using parking in an area full of broken glass, sharp objects and general disrepair. Complain to local supermarket / Council / property company that they are unfit to manage.
Absolute scammers
Absolute scammers, I was working at Tesco at the time I’ve now got my 4th fine from them nearly 800 pound had to pay these scammers for going to work, I will be taking this further it’s disgusting
maggots
A bunch of cowardly little maggots. We parked in a disabled spot with our pass no signs atall saying no parking. We was out of car for less than 10 mins to use cash machine came back 5 cars got tickets. On way out around a sign 12ft from ground said loading only. Put high so it could not been seen when driving in our out. A total cowardly scam run by cowardly maggots. Picking on disabled people tried to apeal. Council. No chance its a scam rum by cowardly criminals. Look on cctv wait till you just leave car then pounce. Cowards. Need to pay. They were cars in disabled bay but no disabled pass. Its curupt by a cowardly maggot company.
I parked to collect a rescue dog from…
I parked to collect a rescue dog from ferry at car. Ryan. 25 days later I get a demand for parking even though it said you could park for an hour to pick up and set down. I was only just over 30minutes! Disgusting Shane on this English company and shame on stena for employing them
Horizon Parking: issuing false fines with impunity, then hiding behind ‘ANPR glitches’ and empty apologies.
Avoid this company if you can. Horizon Parking issued me a false fine after a 10‑minute stay at Tesco Express, claiming I overstayed the 90‑minute limit. Their “evidence” showed my car in the car park at 06:23, when CCTV proved it was parked at home 14 miles away at that exact time.
I appealed and won, but Horizon brushed it off as an “ANPR glitch” with a meaningless apology. The reality is they can issue tickets without proof, leaving drivers guilty until proven innocent. Without my CCTV, GPRS data and dash cam foootage, I’d have been forced to pay for something I didn’t do.
Horizon Parking operates with incompetence or dishonesty. They issue baseless fines, and when caught, they simply say “sorry.”
Appalling parking company
Impossible to locate how to ‘pay later’. Three hours and three emails to Horizon Parking, as per notice boards to eventually find that you have to pay by a completely different app.
In response I received an email advising that I had until midnight to pay. Attempted to enter the date and time only to be told it could not be back paid. I therefore paid for two hours for the following date. Emailed to explain to Horizon what I had done, only to be told that they would not accept this as payment and that I would still be subject to a penalty notice.
I used to visit the Galleria frequently at which time they had an automatic payment system which I had signed up to.
I am now so cross and potentially out of pocket that they have lost my customer as well as that of friends, neighbours and family.
Social media identifies that I a not the only victim of this shambolic system.
Blantant extortion and simply terrible.
Sent 3 parking charges in space of two weeks.
Machine was broken and signage clearly stated that there was no need to validate parking. Sent this as part of the appeal and was ignored, despite following instruction and sharing evidence.
Terrible company, no coherent correspondence and it is unlikely that I will use that car park again.
Disgraceful
Disgraceful company my husband drove 4 hours to visit his sister who has cancer arriving in the dark in premier inn liskard . No one on reception told him and he is disabled that this needed to be done. We take some responsibility the fine was 57 pounds however it took 3 weeks for the letter to come by which time the fine went up 40 pound 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
Poor App. I have tried to open and use the app
I have tried to open and use the app, but have found it incredibly difficult to the point I have given up.
Misleading Email Receipt
Thought I had paid for parking, received me an email with the subject "Payment receipt for parking ...", and so assumed everything was Ok. Turns out the payment was declined (which is hiding in the body of the email) and so I received a fine.
Disgusting! They need to be closed down And Gladstone sou
I moved home and had a letter this September at my new address.
Fine is for £330 I have evidence I sent to them I had payed parking.
And they are still taking me to court!
They have amounted. Costs that I was not aware of as I went to Weston 12 months ago and moved home.
I will fight this. And if it comes to it I will offer. A pound a week , as I’m on benefits! Gladstone solicitors should know better working for these cowboys!
