They should be pulled off the internet. The guy on the phone thought he was so smooth kept dodging the questions until finally he basically admitted they were a SCAM operation.....BS does. not always work my friend.

Include all adults names while making reservation …

We were able to get into our room in the San Diego area nicely, though luckily. Prior to arriving we realized the room was only in my husband's name and Hilton requires that the name on the reservation is the one checking in. My husband needed to go to work nearby while I would check in. Okay. I called hotelsinamerica customer service. First person found our reservation, asked my name but said she had to transfer me. Okay. So here it is: to add me to the room would be a $15 extra charge. Ah, no. Not interested in being nickeled and aimed. Ridiculous. Guess you really do only get what you pay for. So insulting.

STAY AWAY FROM THEM!

STAY AWAY FROM THEM!! I booked through Hotels In America, but when I went to check out the hotel I stayed in couldn't access the payment from them. So I was charged twice for the same room. I've spent 3 months trying to get my money back! Hotels In America haven't been helpful.

I booked a hotel with them on August…

I booked a hotel with them on August 27, 2024 to stay at the Hyatt place in Mesa Arizona.

When I arrived at the hotel on Friday, August 30, there was no reservation for for me.

I called the one 800 number for hotels in America, and they said something crazy like they needed to forward my call to urgent care?

What is “urgent care?”

Subsequently, I wasted one hour and 20 minutes being put on hold, being sent fake emails, being told they have to call Expedia because they can’t find my booking reservation. I was given a runaround and I never got into my hotel room that night.

They kept me on hold up to 45 minutes.

I never got my money back. I had to spend more money rebooking another hotel room because they ripped me off.

Previously, I had used them several times, so I felt comfortable using them and that’s how they ripped me off in the end because they knew I was getting used to their service

They are the absolute worst. They do not care they’re in this to rip people off. Do not waste your time or take chances with using them because they are cheaper than other hotels.

They also operate out of the Philippines and few people speak English when you speak to them on the phone. This is nothing but a scam. They are the worst. And you will not get your money back. You will have to go through your credit card company and do a chargeback, which is what I have done.

Worked out great

I had no problem using them. They had a cheaper price than all the major hotel sites. I see a lot of people had bad experiences with them, make sure to call the hotel directly after you book to make sure that it went through. I did this and everything worked out great.

Avoid at all costs. Scamming company.

Booked at stay at a hotel the same day, but when I arrived, the room was not clean and did not match the description at all. Spoke to the hotel staff and manager and they provided approval for the refund with no issue. Called Hotelsinamerica a few times to get a hold of them and ended up having to submit a refund request online. After multiple (20 emails+) and some phone calls back and forth over the span of over 2 months, they still were not responsive and kept stating they are waiting for a decision. They literally took $175. I even provided everything they needed to meet the criteria. Date, signature, hotel approval, etc. I ended up having to go through my bank to do a chargeback to get my money back. Save yourself the stress and headaches. AVOID HotelsInAmerica.

Booked a hotel through their site

Booked a hotel through their site. No mention of renovations or construction going on. I walk into the lobby and it’s completely under construction, jackhammering, dust everywhere. Refuse to refund me for room I didn’t even check into because Hilton needs to give them ok and Hilton won’t because it was “non refundable”. What a scam on both ends. When you book a hotel, you expect a quiet place to rest not an active work zone. Misleading customers to book places that are disgusting.

Customer service is awful

Customer service is awful. If you can understand their broken English they are totally unwilling to help resolve any issues. The do not care about customer satisfaction. Truly hope they quit doing business.

deceptive

I entered aug 26 into hotelsinamerica.com
At no point after that did i see a date. They took $98.70 under a different name (hotels.com tempau) for the same hotel on 3 Sept. They refused to cancel. They refused to refund. I called +1 (866) 314-4182 right away. I entered complaint with BB who does not accredit the scam. My bank is aware of the unauthorized transaction that is still pending.

Fraudulent website

"Hotel in America" book twice a room in the same hotel without my consent and take two different amount from my bank account.

So I called them to explain the problem. They told me, I have to ask the hotel a proof of checking in and out for the room I booked, of a cancellation of the second room I didn't take with a signature from the hotel reception. So I ask the hotel, but they didn't want to do it and shouted at me in the hall. I was really shocked. The said " we can't do nothing about it, because if we write that down, we will receive any money from the website. You have to call the costumer service from the website again", what I did. The costumer service didn't care at all about it. They explain me too, they can do nothing. I even ask " Hotel in America" to call directly the hotel to fix the issue with them, but they didn't want to do it. So the hotel, like "Hotel in America" have no problem to take without my consent twice my money from my bank account, for a room I didn't booked.
Finally I wrote them, after already 2 calls, to explain again the same story.

I find it incredible to realise the extent to which customers no longer have any rights and can be treated like dirt. On the other hand, taking money from customers without their consent, without accepting that there may be an error on their part, or perhaps on the site, is no problem. They have no remorse. If they don't give me my money back, for the room I didn't book, I will find other solutions to fix this issue.

Staybridge Suites

I the first time I tried to submit the booking form and the date changed from May 2 for day. And the refresh must have unchecked the box to get a refund, but I doubt they would refund even if I had. Failed to get my money back through paypal and currently going through a dispute with my bank, but hotelsinamerica are professional scammers and they have their ToS to legally back their sleazeball tactics. $800+ 6 days but only 1 day. I down the drain and they never even sent me my hotel confirmation anyway, so I don't have any booking info. Just a hopeless feeling watching evil scammers beat you down and nobody is out there to help the consumer.

They are legitimate; you just need to call the hotel and Hotels in America customer service to confirm both.

I booked Hotel Lulu through Hotels in America. When I read the bad reviews, I realized I might be in trouble. So, I called Hotel Lulu first to check if they had my reservation. They told me, “There is no reservation under your name.” Then, I called Hotels in America and asked why my name wasn’t in Hotel Lulu’s reservation system. It was only after that they made the reservation with the hotel. Their customer service (his name is Joey) also called me to inform me that they had booked me at Hotel Lulu. I didn’t pay anything extra at the hotel, so I guess their website is legit. Just make sure to call both the hotel and Hotels in America to confirm your reservation. I did these confirmations about two weeks before my arrival in Anaheim.

Zero stars

Zero stars. Booked a hotel room through their website. Arrived at hotel. Front desk said hotel was totally booked and my reservation was invalid. They could see the request but it was not possible bc the hotel was full when I made the reservation through the 3rd party. Emailed the company and the hotel canceled the booking as I stood there. $250. HIA refused to refund bc “their reservations are nonrefundable”. Obviously deceptive practice on their part to charge my card for a reservation that could never be filled and then they refuse to correct their error.

After my review on this website I received an email from HOA. They researched the situation, cancelled my reservation in the system and issued me a refund with no further action required on my part.

Charged an additional $81 for 2 nights…

Charged an additional $81 for 2 nights at a Holiday inn in Kentucky. Found out when hotel receipt did not match up with credit card statement. Also found out they are based in Olympia Europe. I cannot support this 3rd party, their are too many legit U S. based companies. Sometimes it's as good or better to book directly with the hotel.
